#MyHiveGoals - Put In The Work!

Updated! MyHIVEGoals For 2020.png

Ho-hum....Another 7 days on the blockchain!

Last week, @taskmaster4450 and I were having a little discussion about how to 'double' your stake here on Hive. As he put it, it's pretty tough for someone with like 100,000 Hive Power to double it quickly, unless of course they have big pockets and can invest a bunch into it...

But for someone tat has 100 Hive Power....Getting to 200 is VERY achievable. And I think this is why I do these weekly posts...Sure, it's to keep me on track but also to show people what you can accomplish when you...

Show up every day!

Breaking goals down into smaller chunks help us reach any level we want! But it starts with learning how to earn 1 Hive a day, which turns into 2...And ta-da, you've doubled it ;)

I truly hope these posts inspire newer community members to dig in and show up daily. Another quick reminder, I didn't have ANY big bank account to invest into this blockchain. But I had the desire to show up every day and put in the work. I'm just one example, of how awesome Hive can be...

If you put in the work!

150,000 Hive Power

1.png

I grabbed a little extra Hive this past week and you can see the small bump on my Hive Power earlier last week...

150,000 - 119,205.56 = 30,794.44 left to go

I'm used to a slow and steady growth curve on my Hive Power journey, but with the price of Hive under $1...I might dive in a bit more this coming week :)

30,000 LEO, 1,000,000 SPT & 100,000 ONEUP

2.png

Have I ever mentioned how much I love @leo.voter ??

30,000 - 22,627.54 = 7,372.46 left to go

Combined with the curation I'm doing on Leo Finance, Leo Voter has been rewarding me handsomely with dividend payments each and every day. One of the best delegation projects on the blockchain without a shadow of a doubt!!

3.png

I took a little dip into the SPT pool this past week as well!

1,000,000 - 515,858.37 = 484,141.70 left to go

Chipping away at my SPT goals and enjoying the curation I've been able to do on the Splintertalk front end!!

5.png

The 1UP journey continues as well...

100,000 - 62,750.33 = 37,249.67 left to go

One of the most rewarding parts of my 1UP journey has been to click on 'new' and find awesome posts on the front end. I'm not the largest account there by any stretch, but it does feel good to spread those tokens out to more creators!

Dollar Cost Average Into Hive Engine Projects

The grind continues, let's see how we did:

5 INDEX
5 WORKERBEE
1 LISTNERDS

And after this week's buys I'm at....

11,815 @he-index
5785 WORKERBEE
372 LISTNERDS

  • A note about my LISTNERDS journey. I have decided to unstake about 50% of all the tokens I'm earning and reward List Nerds members with some contests and giveaways going forward. I'm still going to be buying tokens though each week, so this number will go up and down a lot!

100 Hive Per Day In Rewards

I expect this to go higher this week, just because of the price of Hive.

But no matter what the price is, I'll still show up every day...Create and curate :)

Let's see how we did:

36.78 Rewards from Creating
15.64 Rewards from Curating
13 Rewards from Misc.

Total rewards = 65.42 per day

A slight bump up from last week, and not as much as I thought. What's interesting is that my curation APR took a big jump, so I'm excited for that. It's sitting at 11.2% this week!

The grind continues...

Another 7 'ho-hum' days on the blockchain coming up...And I wouldn't change it for the world!

Honestly those are my two main reasons why I post my weekly goals update is to both keep me on track but also to show others what is possible and what I've been doing to hit those goals if something didn't work out or did work out. It allows me to do a quick snapshot and get things figured out.

I do have to say 1up is really kicking butt and it's something I just recently started to focus in a bit more on and put some goals to it.

List nerds I'm stacking away on. I think I'll double up both my CTP and Listnerds credits there (maybe 4x the list nerds credits as mine are a bit low) and just kick that thing into high gear. I'm only getting a few emails so far but I know more will come in.

Keep crushing it and stacking it 💪

Appreciate you sir!

Yeah even if someone gets it and starts stacking to hit 100 Hive Power....These posts will have been worth it. Because I know you remember what it was like here at the start....Seemed like a mountain to climb lol But slow and steady...It's been a blast!

Keep chipping away at it JON. Every step or post you write is one rung closer to your goals. Each day is a journey no matter how far you walk. Keep writing ,voting or whatever it is you do. Never give up.

Setting goals is pretty great but what matters most is working towards achieving set goals. What we see most often is people who set goals but lack the discipline and zeal to accomplish them. It's great that you keep reminding yourself of your goals and that makes you get closer to accomplishment.

Likewise, my major Hive goal for this year is staying consistent in engaging. If I can do that then, I'll be the greatest achiever here. Secondly, I am poised on increasing my stakes in the second-layer.

So, the important thing is to keep showing up everyday regardless of whether you get upvoted as expected or not. The more you keep showing up, the more curators find you serious and the better your odds at getting their upvotes.

I didn't get any major upvotes for the first year or so being on hive. Every vote you get, I'm grateful for. But we need to produce and add value, with no expectation of rewards.

It's more better if a user just enjoys being on the platform and engaging. That way, your mind won't be fixed on the money alone. I guess upvotes will come when it will come!!!

Awesome. I am adding you to my list of people that I will look at when it comes to setting goals and achieving them.

I started the year with 313HP, sitting on 348HP now, my goal steps go up in 50's so 350HP was next with 400HP after that. 500HP is also a big milestone and gets me off that redfish status.

You could imagine how your 62 HP a day seems absolutely insane to me! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look, I am actually onboarding and teaching people about Hive as we speak so I keep telling people that your first 10HP is the hardest to earn and they should want to get to 50HP as soon as possible.

However, you are in a completely different league!

Dare I dream of getting 1000HP? Or 10,000HP?

One step at a time... as you say... show up daily.

Oh wait... I was following you already! 🤣🤣🤣

Nevertheless, I am keeping an eye out for what you do more than ever now. Lol

Soooooo achievable! I mean, the biggest target I had when I first started was hitting 500 HP...And back then, Hive (steem) was around 5 bucks a token lol

And had next to nothing to my name, so that seemed like I would never reach it. But I just kept chipping away. 5 HP here, 10 HP there...It really starts to compound once you hit 500.

That's my theory too lol.

I mean, I see it put into practice with you and others at your level haha!

I do preach it, but I need to put in the work and actually reach it myself!

There is no doubt you will achieve your goal. You had a long journey since 2017, you know how platform works.
It's us now to get started.

Your journey is quite amazing so far. I wonder where my account will be in a few years and I think I can at least double my account at least. However that would definitely require some consistency and there is no room to really slack off that much.

I follow you on your incredible journey towards 150,000 HP. I see that you focus on several tokens that undoubtedly have a high value but I have a curiosity. What tokens are you selling to finance your growth?

0

Pretty much everything I don't stack...I sell BEE, just because I want more WORKERBEE lol. But I don't really earn that much in tokens I sell. So if I get 50 cents or a dollar in a few, I'll flip those into tokens I wanna stack.

100 HIVE rewards a day sounds amazing, but what about HBD? As it mimics a stablecoin I think that should be part of the goals as it helps in troubled times. Any thoughts on that?

That's a good point. I mean, I am stacking that...And right now, it either gets thrown into savings or....Feeds my Splinterlands addiction LOL

You will be blown away at what happens. Make a commitment to write down the goals you want to hit by the end of the year...And then every week track them. Crazy what you will be able to achieve!

Oh, I even blogged about what I want to achieve, but I didn't keep track after that. And that's what I should start. Also breaking it down in weekly parts to see soon enough if I'm doing well or not.

My Hive journey trundles along slowly and relatively steadily at the moment...

Now that college term has finished here in Japan I'm working on my primary affiliate marketing funnel and associated Wordpress blog, autoresponder series, squeeze pages, thank you pages and what have you. Spent most of today working on a new version of one of my freebie ebooks... This journey is more like a quest... but it is giving me a lot of fresh content to post on the blockchain over the next few days... One project supports another!

Keep up the good work!

Breaking goals down into smaller chunks help us reach any level we want!

This is what I've been doing since this year, first set my yearly goals, cut them into 12 parts for monthly review as well as weekly. Being on top of the weekly goals has given me a good understanding of how much I'd need to do to achieve them. So far it's been going good, only the HBD savings have been postponed as I want to reach my SPS goal first :) If would only look at my yearly goal, the journey would have possibly become a struggle as I wasn't on top of them from the start and falling behind made it too hard to catch up.

Another nice thing to be on top of the goals is the response as I've read a few times I inspired them to do the same and more people join this, so together we BUILD :)

A note about my LISTNERDS journey. I have decided to unstake about 50% of all the tokens I'm earning and reward List Nerds members with some contests and giveaways going forward. I'm still going to be buying tokens though each week, so this number will go up and down a lot!

Sweet! Will be looking forward to that..

Now it's time to prep my Hive goals post for tonight :) Have a good day!

Yeah I'll have a nice little chunk of LISTNERDS saved up ready to distribute to members!

It works right? Big plans for the year, broken down into chunks :)

As the old adage goes, "Success is not a destination, it's a journey". We don't just wake up one day to find we are successful. When we "plan our work and work our plan", therein lies our success. We get to choose what our targets are and how we want to reach them. Then, as we complete "another 7 ho-hum days", we begin to realize the successes as we see the progress we have made.

Your Journey is amazing and a great example for those of us that would one day like to be full-time on hive.
My Journey has been amazing so far. I have learned a lot in the past 11 months, my business has grown so much, not just the business but my understanding of my business has also grown.
I have really ramped up my activity on Hive, so I cant wait to see where everyone is on their journey this time next year.

The interesting part is when you look back and see the progress that you have made it is very reassuring that those daily activities and steps that you take are worth it. Keep setting the example for the rest of us to follow. It is very motivating to know that after a period of time of consistent effort, I too will be able to achieve the goals I establish along our journey on the hive platform.

But for someone that has 100 Hive Power....Getting to 200 is VERY achievable.

Two months ago, I had 21 HP. Now I have 128 including both HIVE and HBD. My goal for this year is 700, so 572 more in the next 11 months.

Show up every day!

And stay all day until late at night. Just kidding. ^_^

But it starts with learning how to earn 1 Hive a day

I will start with 0.1 ^_^

One of the most rewarding parts of my 1UP journey has been to click on 'new' and find awesome posts on the front end. I'm not the largest account there by any stretch, but it does feel good to spread those tokens out to more creators!

I don't know how I ended up with 57.42 1UP in my wallet. Perhaps, it came from you. Thanks anyway! ^_^

Seriously, just yesterday I had a conversation with savvyplayer and he called my attention to Hive tokens. Even after more or less 5 months in crypto space, this tokenization thing still puzzles me.

Looking into numbers and figures you gave, I could not avoid to reflect on my holdings. They are like a child's play: HP, 120; HBD, 8; LEO, 115; SPT, 500; and 1UP, 57.42, and curation APR is 2.8%.

Because I know you remember what it was like here at the start....Seemed like a mountain to climb. . .

Thanks for showing the long-term perspective. Sometimes I could not avoid thinking how long will it take to achieve financial freedom for someone with a $300 income per month supporting a family of 5? The best I can do is to set aside $10.00 every pay day, so that will be $20.00 per month for my crypto goals. With this rate, can a 50 plus year old Red Fish evolve into a Dolphin?

Create and curate!

An excellent slogan!

You will be surprised at how it starts to compound. 1 HP turns into 2HP very quickly! The trick is to keep showing up, no matter what. And if 10 bucks is all you can put in, that's perfect! It'll grow!

Nice! My problem is I have to pay bills with this stuff so allot of times it’s hard to keep stacking up. Plus I am finding a struggle on nailing down content that earns a decent amount. Like one week, rewards are good then the last 3 weeks have been garbage for the amount of work that goes into doing allot of this, especially videos. That’s allot of work for the rewards to be next to nothing. Although I know I have said before it’s not all about the rewards, but, it’s beginning to when you are trying to live on it and you can’t get a decent upvote to save your life… Yeah venting… it’s been a crappy couple of weeks for posting, at least for me. Even my curation as gone unappreciated, lol. Oh well I am just sick and whining, lol.

I eventually want to get to that place. Right now, our online businesses can help with the bills and stuff and for me, I wont power down anytime soon. Just cause I know how you can eventually live off the dividends you can earn daily.

0

0.000
avatar

Oh I don’t power down. And thus far the businesses are just barely paying for themselves so it is what it is I guess. But still trying to find a format that brings in consistent earnings has been difficult. Guess it’s back to the normal BS dollar earnings for a while. The run was fun while it lasted, gave me a nice taste of what I want, just have to find that secret sauce format that gets people going, cause apparently I haven’t found it yet like you and @taskmaster4450 have. One day… one day…

Wow, Another post I found through ListNerds. This is becoming a habit.

Good job on your projects and Hive growth. Is there where we write "Go Bills" to be eligible for the 10 day cruise through the Caribbean?

Compounding is the key to Hive success (well all of live really). Those who understand this are able to take consistent action over a long period of time for massive results.

What an incredible journey. My own journey lags your by, well, probably years, but there is something so encouraging about trying to make this happen in HIVE. It is very nearly addictive, I think because the community is so creative and always creating ways to engage, invest, and earn. Whether you like poetry, movies, gaming, finance, sports, probably even the dreaded tulips (jk) there is a home for you in Hive. Every time I read a post about how someone is doing, it adds to my motivation, so thanks! In the words of Journey, don't stop believin'!
