What Happens To Our Chickens?

No surprise here...People are fired up about Chaos Legion and we're only a few days away from the launch of this new card set!

Something that I'm excited about, is obviously all the new 0 Mana cards that are being released. I have my eyes on each of them and will be working towards maxing them out ASAP.

However these 0 Mana cards are a little different than what we are used to...

Currently the only 0 Mana card in the game is...Furious Chicken! Pretty much a must own in any deck!

For gameplay, he can sneak into almost every line up and the epic stories of winning with Chicken being the last card standing have been something of legend in Splinterlands.

Furious Chicken is...A Neutral card! And all these new 0 Mana cards coming for Chaos Legion are....Splinter specific!

It works because whichever Splinter you end up choosing, you can stick a 0 Mana card into your line up, plus Chicken won't be able to be used in the 'new league' as it's an older rewards card so....

What does this do to the price of Chickens?

I mean, cards have been going down slightly across the board but Chicken is still selling pretty well around 34-35 bucks per BCX. And yeah, it gets cheaper if you get more BCX at once, but still...It's a healthy priced card and doesn't seem to be tanking because of the new of it's new 0 Mana counterparts.

I'm more interested in this....

I don't see these prices going down at all right now...And being a little selfish, I hope they do go down.

I would love to target more Gold Foil Chickens, simply because of it's legendary status in the game and the limited supply of these cards.

But will the price go down?

I think all the card prices will do a little dip when Chaos launches but long term, I think these original rewards cards so rare and so valuable as a collector.

So for me, the 'player' side of Jongo will be maxing out and accumulating those new 0 Mana cards...But the collector in me, wants the price of Chickens to dip a little lol

What about you?

How do you feel the price of Chickens will go over the next few weeks? And which of the new 0 Mana cards are you most excited about?

I can't tell you how many battles I wished I had TWO chickens. I think Chickens will be just fine post CL.

That is really good to know I do not even have my first chicken yet, but will soon, especially with a recommend like that :-)

You won't regret that purchase, but I can't say if you'll regret the price. Not sure if it'll dip further or not, but I'm tempted to pick up another at 35.

like any other commodity on Earth, there will be dips in value, I wonder how the new Chaos legion cards will affect the value of the current cards? 😀

Me? I am going to follow your lead as usual, lol.
Heck yeah, I will be looking at acquiring some of these 0 mana cards that until reading your article I had no idea existed.

They are such sneaky plays and with all the new abilities too, should add for some awesome game play

Those sneaky plays are the strategies that work best. Like picking a tank with self-heal ability, and then burying a tank heal ability monster in the backline 😉

I did not notice this the first time I read this article, is the Furious Chicken GF level 3 Card slower than the regular level 1 Furious Chicken?

Nah that's a level 7 Furious Chicken in the snap shot.

Hmmm another card that I did not know about, will have to look into getting one and renting it out. Also looks like it would be a good long term investment, I just follow your lead from far behindItalic

Did they specify any time frame for when the new league will start?

How good are the chickens! :)

I've talked about Furious chickens being on sale in the past too.

Like you've said, even with a somewhat market-wide slip in prices, the chickens are holding up.

Why?

I want to say it's because chickens are so stupid that they're cool.

But it's probably just their relatively low supply.

Naa, it's because they're cool!!

I think even with the new Legendary fiends, precisely because they are legendary, there will still be relatively few 0 mana cards to go around, and I'm sure double 0 will become a thing going forwards!

I agree the temptation will be to see these cards drop in value. But you mentioned well their rarity as a great argument against it, and the fact alpha and beta cards will have major boosts for land. Plus, in the wild format one could use two zero-mana cards: the chicken and the splinter-specific one from CL.
