What Is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is an online game where you collect a deck of unique cards and use them to battle it out with other players. With six different factions (Splinters) based on elements like Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, and Dragon, each card has its own set of mana cost, health, speed, attack, armor, and abilities.

What sets Splinterlands apart is the "play-to-win" crypto aspect, which means you can actually win real money , through tournaments, ranked play, and quests. You can also buy and sell cards on marketplaces like OpenSea, PeakMonsters, and Monster Market.

Plus, the game has its own currency called Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), which you can use for in-game purchases or exchange for other cryptocurrencies.

Launched in 2018, Splinterlands has grown to be the most popular blockchain game in the market, as reported by DappRadar. As of January 2023, it boasts over 283,950 daily users and a collection of more than 500 cards to collect.

How to Play Splinterlands
To start playing, simply create an account or connect an existing Web3 wallet like MetaMask. Next, grab a Summoner’s Spellbook for $10, which unlocks the game's full features. Choose between a free mode (without real money prizes) or a paid mode (where you can earn prizes).

Once you're all set, start collecting cards by buying booster packs or individual cards from the market, or earn cards through quests or battles. Combine multiple copies of the same card to level up your cards!

To enter a battle, pick a summoner and a team of monsters that match the splinter and mana cap of the battle. You can also use neutral mercenaries that fit any splinter.

After submitting your team, wait for your opponent to do the same, and the battle resolves automatically based on the cards' stats and abilities.

Join ranked battles, tournaments, or create custom tournaments to climb the leaderboard and earn amazing rewards!
