An Accomplished Splinterlands' Season; Weighing The Economic & Financial Impact.

I seriously enjoyed playing in Silver III, but then, it's the end of the season, and I'm back to bronze II irrespective of the mayhem I unleashed in silver III. This has made me realize that having the tactical acumen to run a business is different from having the money to actually run a business. The former is living the dream, while the latter is actualizing the dream. The difference here is money.

This doesn't mean that acquainting oneself to being able to manage one's prospective investment well when the money comes is totally bad, it only becomes good plans on paper that didn't have the opportunity to prove whether it was going to be an actual success or only a beautiful mirage. People who own the money are making the money work for them. During my course of playing in Silver III, I actually filled up my bar, accumulating flawless victories, but along the line I played against people who actually owned enough assets.

The Systemic Plethora Of Resources

These assets are evident in their expensive lineups. They were richly spoiled in all department. For poison games, for low speed, high speed, odd or even mana games and when they brought their collection of wealth, it was difficult to actually beat them no matter how hard you tried, they were playing different level summoners, enhancing the abilities of their cards along the way.

There are problems money will solve and this is defeating technicality. I discovered that money makes it easier to learn. The proof is in the fact that I opened up 68% of my $520 worth of packs, and I've been lucky to get over15 legendariesspread across all elements. I sold about 4 in the process, after experiencing how to use them.

The point is, having the financial capacity to encounter exposure is what brings unbridled experience. Opening the packs helped me build my deck, increased my CP, while helping me to learn how to use the elements, which I've mastered 4.

Money The Exposure & Technicality

However, I didn't totally master the elements when I was consistently playing in the bronze leagues, not even league I. The mentality of the silver leagues is actually stability while that of the bronze leagues is all about survival. It reminds me of the fact that it's difficult to grow when you're facing excessive competition.

For example, if a business gets to a stage where competition becomes the least of its worries, it'll mean that it has attained stability, procured a level of expectations with their returns. Solved the issue of input and output and maintained a balance while still aiming for more growth.

The silver league is a place where the mindset is centered on stability, and you can systematically be built. The economy around splinterlands is what shatters this stability, especially when you don't have the financial means to withstand being pulled down every end of the season.

Normally, this shows that everyone is being pulled backwards, even while they're building and moving towards, it correlates with how things like inflation, unforeseen expenses can pull people towards implosion especially if they don't have enough financial capacity to mitigate this.

I have come to accept the fact that the Splinterlands' economy mirrors reality to some sizeable extent and inasmuch as it is play2earn, the concept behind it's economy is sustainability, growth in the USD value of the assets and to maintain this, there has to be inflow of money, to build and retain these value and anyone who thinks otherwise of any blockchain's concept of play2earn is actually mistaken.

While the time given determines your ability, technicality, know-how or mastery, your financial input is what eventually brings you noticeable returns. So why do this? This is because you need money to make more money, it'll always remain like this till the end of time. Plus, overtime the value in the assets can rise and put you in a different financial position.

Highlights Of The Previous Season

Nevertheless, it was like living the dream, having enough collection power to compete in the bigger leagues took money, of course it's not literal money, this would have to be converted into holding different assets from the various elements.

But having about 16.8k CP, kept me at silver III, I could have easily gotten to silver I, but then, it is what it is. I don't know how to correctly rate of gauge my rewards for silver III this last season. All I know is that the highlight is in getting a DJINN CHWALA. Not presently prospectful in terms of money, but it's exciting seeing it is an epic.

Another highlight is, I played more games this last season more than any other seasons since I started playing Splinterlands accumulating some average/decent DEC in returns. Average because it hasn't still begun to bring changes to my SPS drops. This is it guys, we begin the grinding again this season.

The grind is always there and the start of the season is annoying. I think pulling an epic card is great for Silver III.

Also, I think there will be some changes to the battle format and ranked battle format in April. So, you may have to adapt your strategy.

Hahaha, I hope these format wouldn't affect only the players in the lower leagues. Well, at the end of the day, all we have to do is to adapt to the constant changes, it's in our nature and that's what we have to do. Thanks a lot.

By the looks you sure had a good season, I did too, it is nice when one looks back and is happy with the past season's progress.
You are right about the Splinterlands economy, you just have to keep spending to stay competitive, which is sustaining for the game.

Good luck with the current season.

Thanks for the motivation, it's not easy to stay abreast of everything that's happening. Money plays a huge role in keeping one afloat, hopefully, we can get to enjoy the dividends of our hustles. Goodluck to you too.

Even though some of the jargon here like CP, deck, legendaries etc. are of course jargon 😄. I still manage to gain a lot. For example,....

This has made me realize that having the tactical acumen to run a business is different from having the money to actually run a business.

...basically, money is different from sense, abi? @josediccus

Hahah these jargon were of course strange to me about 9 months, it takes doggedness to learn to really go far with some of the things we don't know.

Lool money is of course only a tool....an enablement. We make it what it becomes

Yeah, very well. Are there some kind of articles/posts that one could learn from concerning this or how best do you think one can learn...?

This splinterland game is actually not as easy like the way I think it would be.. most of the time people complain about how though it can be but actually playing the game is actually a way to add to the way you earn and not worry about the difficult times.
