Guild Fray: Battling The New Cards

Another Guild fray has ended, and this time around, the result is decent. 5 wins and 3 losses, not bad. My last opponent turned up with a complete set of rebellion cards, thereby outwitting my lineup and taking the victory. It was smart for them to do that and that's because it's difficult to predict cards that you've not played with or played against, or cards that you rarely play, it's going to be difficult to form a defense against something you don't know.

However, I'm certain they were just sampling the cards and didn't really invest to buy the new cards. I could tell from looking at the lineup and the summoner too. I think 80% of the Guild members did well, with just about two or three members losing almost all their games.

The new rebellion cards are beginning to become a menace and sometimes it becomes one of the reasons why you might not be able to completely predict the lineup of your opponent. In the Guild, the new cards are free to use and don't affect the outcome of your battle, unlike in ranked battles where using the free cards automatically reduces your SPS intake, because you don't own the cards.

So far I've avoided testing the new cards. I saw the battle of some diamond leaguers and these cards have some exciting new abilities, especially with the shield. However, only one BCX of some of these cards is free to use, and you'll have to shop on your own to get access to the abilities that come with improving the levels. So for now I've only sampled the new cards once and my SPS intake for that particular game dropped drastically.

But it was good sampling them. Of course, I plan to sell the 4 rebellion packs I bought (for financial reasons), and also simply because 4 packs will make no difference, I'll need about 120 packs if I want to own a decent rebellion asset.

However, 13.7 SPS and 1150k merit is not bad at all for 8 games, just like I said in my last guild post I prefer playing longer battles because it gives you more opportunities to redeem yourself especially if you've lost some games you shouldn't have, plus the continuity of having fun with the games and gaining more experience too.

I bought a Gladius case again and for the umpteenth time, I didn't get anything decent. I also like buying Gladius cases, it's one of the major reasons why I joined a guild in the first place. Hopefully, I'll get to play another 8 games in the next fray.

Yesterday I got 18 SPS in one of the chests I opened from my daily focus, it was my most lucrative opening since I started playing Splinterlands.

Sounds interesting Rebellion set is already causing menace on the battlefield. I have not been playing for weeks due to work. Am considering utilizing a bot to stay active.

Nice job. The new cards are pretty deadly. I have been fighting in modern and I have gotten wiped a few times.

They're really deadly like you say, I think it was unfair to make some of them stronger than CL
