Splinterlands: Evaluating The Content Value Of Seasonal Rewards.

The season's rewards are in and after opening ten gold Chests, it doesn't feel like gold Chests at all. I still don't know what I'll be doing with my merits, at the moment, it feels useful to join a Guild but then I just don't feel like I have the depth in my deck to join a Guild.

Which means the merits are not as wantable as they come

This takes me to the potions. I got a sizeable number of potions, but then these potions are not even transferrable. While it's up for purchase, there is no outlet to sell them and without chaos rewards, the potions are peripheral rewards that might serve no present or futuristic purposes, especially with the packs gradually dwindling.

I know that even when the packs sell out, players who have hoarded theirs might begin to sell, and the value of packs would eventually go up, but to individuals who have no plans of purchasing the packs, what would they been doing with their potion rewards, especially since it's not even transferrable?

So potions are open-end rewards that serve a dwindling purpose, especially if one cannot gift them to another person who owns packs and needs these potions to open these packs. So, potions and merits are gone, and this leads me to soul-bound cards.

I think these cards have futuristic potential, and this is why I'm having to have them irrespective of the fact that they have no value. Of all of them, I prefer getting summoners, because summoners increase the possibilities of potentials, build new gameplay strategies, and add extra choices to summoner selections since there are increasing rulesets.

However, the bane of these soulbound summoners is that across all elements, their abilities are almost the same, while the summoners seem fancy, the abilities they carry are almost similar and quite uninspiring to create potential strategies.

A decent common card by all standards


But, a summoner is a summoner, which means potential value, present and prospective, across the game for a very long time. However, this doesn't take away the excitement that comes with the cards, I've gotten some really decent soulbond cards.

The one I use the most is called the SWAMP SPITTER a range water card, gives this shield ability to friendly monsters I guess. I've not gotten around to using the rest because their abilities have not slotted into my strategies, but there's no reason not to want depth in deck, so I'll always take interesting cards. Now since pack rewards are by luck, I would not talk much about it. The reason is that.

The smaller the reward chest, the lower the chances of getting a pack.

And since I haven't gotten any pack this time, I'll like to think I might get one when opening the next reward chest. However, getting a pack is one thing, getting the content to be worth opening is another thing, sometimes the pack is worth more unopened, and sometimes, it's worth more opened. You'll never know this because no one can tell which is worth it, and which isn't. Nevertheless, the prospect of getting a pack is always worth it.

The excitement and the accomplishment are unrivaled, and this is a non-monetary expectation that might birth any possibility. This makes me come to SPS. well SPS is an asset that's been getting the stares, probably because it hasn't really hit it.

A lot of people had crazy expectations for SPS but it just hasn't happened yet. Nevertheless, it's a quality asset with a brilliant prospect, and getting it is always a pleasure for me. I might not get it as I want, but it's probably the only asset in the season's reward that comes with a trustable dollar value.

Back to the soulbound cards.

Some of these soulbond cards. I've managed to get some of them to level two, although I've not really gotten any of them into level 3, so far, the anatomy of these cards is not as flexible as the regular cards we have.

I hope I can study these cards one day and write a comprehensive post about their abilities, flexibilities as well as an addition to gameplay. Hopefully, this season will be a better one in terms of luck and rewards.

I think the Swamp Spitter is a great card. A good focus may be to try and get more chests so that you can get more reward cards. The downside of not going for gold chests is that the SPS rewards are likely to be lower, but I cant imagine too much lower if you get a decent silver chest haul.

Yeah, I've used the swamp spitter a lot of times and it seem to always come through, especially with the right or favourable ruleset. I'll try silver chest for next season. But in reality I actually want more SPS rewards too.

I got a few of my cards at level 2 before the forced break I had from the game, and now I am hopeful to get lucky to accumulate the cards for leveling up. There are great cards worth leveling up.

I haven't gotten any of the cards at level 2, what I mostly do is pile them up then upgraded. The swamp spitter has been the best and most useful to my strategy. I hope you can get back into the game.

I always talk about those potions and how unuseful they are for those who don't have packs to open. If the Splinterlands team at least makes them tradable or transferable, we may make some $.
I'm hoping that this may implement someday.
