Splinterlands: The Aim For Non-monetary Assets

It's the splinterlands' end of the season, and it's been one hell of a ride, I started very slowly of course, trying to play in both wild and modern format, but in mid-season, I decided to scrap this idea, and continue playing in the modern format.

If I had made that decision earlier, I could have been in a better place, but then, the new ECR system comes with a different feel, people need to come up with their unique strategies to squeeze out more value from the game and irrespective of the fact that I started very slowly, I still managed to finish with 37 gold chests as compared to my last season's 29.

I accumulated 2 of these gold chests, in the last 2 days of the season, finishing strongly as well as finishing in gold two.

It's the first time I'm finishing in gold two

......and inasmuch as I expected a feisty contest, I ended up with a winning streak of 8 games in gold two, making it my longest streak in gold. I got more soulbound cards like I've always desired, although, I got only one gold level 2 common death card, I still got a lot of other cards that made it easy for me to upgrade some of my other soulbound cards to level 3 and level 4.

I have a level 4 gold willy coyotian and finally, one of my favorite cards, the swamp spitter is now on level 4. I would have wished to get an extra copy of the KULU MASTERMIND, to make that legendary card a level 2 beast, but unfortunately I couldn't.

Legendaries are the real deal

I have an inkling that I'll get him during the season in my daily quests, but then again, I'm desperate to get him. I made a list of the soulbound cards that I've been to get to level 3 and those I've been able to get to level 4, (these are new entries, I have a lot of level 3s and 4s that I've already debuted last season) those are at the pinnacle of my strategies and gameplay.

My neutral card, the Gobson bomber is the only card I have that's close to level 5 (PS: I do not own any level 5 cards before now) I think I just about need 15 copies of the card to get that beast into level 5. In the next two to three seasons or let's say before the end of May, I should be able to do that and debut it here as well.

My Soulbound summoners

Also, I have three soulbound summoners in level 2. Sadly I wish I have level 3 or more of them across all elements. But these summoners are really difficult to get, the rarity of some of the epic makes them so scarce.

In fact, I've never seen any legendary soulbound summoner, not anywhere and this is to tell you how scarce these things are.

My aim now is to get all my soulbound summoners across all elements to level 3 or 4. I reckon I should be able to do this before the end of the year since they're not tradable, I have to compete to get them.

Another (Two) CL PACKS

Interestingly, the best part of the season's reward was getting two CL packs, I'm glad to have maintained this consistency. I got two packs last season and now I get another two packs.

This means I have six unopened CL packs which I intend to sell and not open. However, I'm holding this one till the end of the year, or till I see a substantial rise in the value of Chaos legion packs, preferably $4 and above.

I mean, this is possible, although the rise of rebellion, another generational card might make this really difficult, I do think that the market might blossom, before the end of the year, so it'll not be difficult to have the CL packs selling over $4.

Value For More Value

The aim is to squeeze out the best profit while taking advantage to increase one's skin in the game. Most of the profit I've made has gone back into the game. About 85% of the profits have gone back into buying cards and some of them have gone into buying hive and staking them.

I mostly sell 80% of my vouchers as well, then use the proceeds to buy some SPS or hive, stake, continue and repeat.

So this means that I haven't really taken any profit that I haven't put back into the system, I like the process of building, and I think everyone can admit that the soulbound cards bring a whole new excitement to the gameplay.

Dollar Value In-game Value

A lot of people are no longer targeting rewards with dollar value and this is because they're now playing the long game. Hell, I got only two SPS in my end-of-season reward, but I didn't worry, because I got more soulbound cards.

Last season was a very challenging one and the competition has gotten to a whole new level. My target for this season would be 40 gold chests and I hope I surpass this.

It's for sure been a little more of a challenge. For a bit there I was hitting Diamond level again. This last time I was in Silver but granted I didn't end up battling as much as I would have in on typical week. I'm wondering if I'll be able to get back up there again or if I would be better off going fully passive and renting everything out.

Even if I have the assets to rent, I think I'll just rent some and do battle with the majority of the assets. I don't think I can't miss the thrill, plus, earning those soulbound cards makes sense to me. Although there's nothing as sweet as just earning passively. It's a matter of choice, I guess.

Splinterland is a nice game that one will not fail to enjoy. Unfortunately, I still feel bad for myself cause of missing out due to some psychological impacts whenever I engage in games. An impact that my doctor advised me to restrain myself from playing video games during rapid headaches. I believe others do encounter such challenges although we are limited.
The person that registered me on hive is a good player though base on my view.
But, I’ll try and attempt it for few minutes very soon

Nice rewards and great job getting 2 packs. I didn't get any packs but I did get some gold foil cards. It's kind of tough and I do agree that we need to keep building our decks. The game is still fairly tough and I tried fighting tonight, but it was rough.

Well most times it's get packs or get legendaries. I think you only get the two if you're playing in champions league. We have to keep pushing, keep striving... You should maybe try another period when you'll win better

I am in Silver because I didn't want to hamper my win rate. If I move up to Gold, I will be stuck in gold and I don't think it's worth it. However, I am not sure if that was the best choice.

I'd say the new ECR system has helped a lot. I just have avoid those crazy losing streaks and I'll be absolutely fine. Thanks a million..

Sounds like a good season for you, and you are doing well accumulating those summoners. Congrats on fishing in Gold League 2 and you've been lucky with the packs last two seasons, I hope the luck continues for you.

Finishing higher means more Opportunity to actually earn more rewards. I hope I keep getting two packs each season hahaha, imagine selling them all to flip rewards or even opening them and standing a chance of getting a legendary
