Splinterlands Art Contest Week 274! UNDERBOSS FABINO
Hi there guys Splinterlands and Hive! today i am going participate in this week's art contest of Splinterlands hopefully I made it in time as of the time of this posting there is only 8 hours left till the payout of the post of the contest, well anyway this time I chose Underboss Fabino as my subject I actually experimented different brushes this time on Clipstudio paint as well as a different approach in the process.
Oh by the way the reason I chose him as my art subject today is because the last time I was selected as one of the winners in splinterlands art contest I received a pack and he is one of the cards there, thanks again to splinterlands for that gift. Now lets move on to the art process!
Art Process
- This time around as I said I used again Clip Studio Paint and also my XP PEN artist 12 pen tablet. As always start with messy lines just visualize what roughly you project the final output.
Then lower the opacity or turn the initial lines into a different lighter color this time around I chose blue
after that start by creating a clean lineart, you can increase the stabilization so that you could create smoother lines.
- Final clean lineart!
- I made sure to create lineart no gaps so I could use the fill bucket tool, which is faster options in coloring large portions or spaces
- Then change the layer from normal to multiply then underneath it is a duplicate of that layer which is normal and lower the opacity then create shades and highlights for that.
- Final shadings and lights
- Done with Background! I put the splinterlands logo at the back of Underboss Fabino
Final Output
Thanks for dropping by everyone hoping for a successful year for all of us here on Hive and Splinterlands!
Your lineart quality is excellent 👌! What are your canvas specs🤩?
thanks its 3k pixels 300dpi
Oh no wonder it looks good. I use 2k and when I use 3k size becomes high and Peakd compress my image if it's above 5mb which happens when I use 3k 😂.
What a good drawing, I really like the drawing of lines and the shading. Well done!
thanks
This turned out super badass!
Thanks, i appreciate the compliment sir!
