This is the first time I am taking part in the share your battle weekly challenge. For my first challenge, I am happy to share my post with Deeplurker in play. This is one of my favorite cards to play whenever I choose the water splinter from the current batch of cards. Depending on the situation I will either place it 2nd or last in my plays.

For this duel, I had only 23 mana to pick my cards for the lineup and there were no special rules for the battle. I decided to go with one of the strategies I am comfortable with when playing the water splinter. Serpent of Eld in the first place due to dodge followed by Hardy Stonefish, Ice Pixie, Merdarli Guardian, and Deeplurker. I placed Deeplurker last in order to soak in damage from possible sneakers. My opponent also decided to pick the water splinter with the same set of cards except for Hardy Stonefish but in a slightly different lineup.

By the start of round 2, both my Serpent of Eld and Hardy Stonefish had lost their armor. My opponent's Serpent of Eld was the only one without armor for this fight. He seems to be in a slightly better position than me if we only take into account the loss of armor.

Round 3 of the battle started without Hardy Stoneman for me, may he rest in peace. He is still in a much better position than me compared to the previous round. I am starting to get worried here.

Round 4! Woohoo, my opponent's Serpent of Eld and Albatross have been taken out but now I have to face Deeplurker with the armor intact. Ice Pixie on the other hand is armor less can my Deeplurker take it out. I hope his Deeplurker and Ice Pixie won't take out my Serpent of Eld. I am still in a bind even though he has fewer monsters in play.

Round 5 began with not much changing except for Deep lurker being armorless and my Serpent of Eld ready to meet its maker.

My opponent is without his Ice Pixie at the start of round 6 and my own Serpent of Eld is putting up quite a fight dodging attacks like a pro. Either I take out his Deeplurker or he takes out my Serpent of Eld.

My Serpent survives to see round 7. Serpent of Eld and Ice Pixie took out my foe's Deeplurker leaving Merdaali Guardian the only one left in play. Safe to say this ends the battle with a win for me.

This game gave me a heart attack during some rounds but the end leaves me quite satisfied. I would use Deeplurker in many more battles to come with the water splinter as it has a lot of utility. He still remains my favorite.
