PROCESO / PROCESS
Paso 1 (Boceto y Line arte) / Step 1 (Sketch and Line art)
Boceto/ Sketch:
Lo primero que hice fue dibujar un boceto de Peaceful Giant empezando por dibujar la forma básica del cuerpo y pose sentada sobre sus piernas cruzadas, con un gorro de Santa y por ser un gigante sostiene al reno Rudolf en su mano izquierda y en la mano derecha sostiene una gigante bola de navidad.
The first thing I did was draw a sketch of Peaceful Giant starting by drawing the basic shape of the body and pose sitting on his legs crossed, with a Santa hat and because he is a giant he holds Rudolf the reindeer in his left hand and in his right hand He holds a giant Christmas ball.
Line art.
Después de realizar el boceto, escojo un pincel de arte y comienzo el trabajo del delineado, definiendo cada uno de los trazos y su grosor en cada una de las partes del todo de Peaceful Giant.
After making the sketch, I choose an art brush and begin the outlining work, defining each of the strokes and their thickness in each of the parts of the whole of Peaceful Giant.
Paso 2 (Color) / Step 2 (Colour)
Color:
Aplique primeramente una capa de color base a cada una de las partes del dibujo: Gorro, cabeza, cabello, barbas, guantes; cuerpo, botas, cinturón y falda.
First apply a layer of base color to each of the parts of the drawing: Hat, head, hair, beard, gloves; body, boots, belt and skirt.
Sombras/ Shades:
Después añadí sombras a cada una de las partes según la distribución de la misma a fin de darle volumen a Peaceful Giant definiendo sus músculos y apariencia.
Then I added shadows to each of the parts according to their distribution in order to give Peaceful Giant volume, defining his muscles and appearance.
Luces:
Al igual que las sombras las luces juegan un papel fundamental para realzar el volumen de Peaceful Giant
Like shadows, lights play a fundamental role in enhancing the volume of Peaceful Giant.
Detalles/ Details:
Como detalle para este fan art quise colocar una bola de navidad en la mano derecha Peaceful Giant. Para ello después de dibujarla y aplicar colores de azules degradados tipo radial y dorato para la asa, aplique una máscara de recorte con el todo de nuestro amigo el gigante, realizando previamente una copia de respaldo y que luego es nuevamente incorporada para conseguir la ilusión de la bola dentro de la mano de nuestro Peaceful Giant, y por ultimo establecí un fondo verde degradado radial con varias estrellas revoleteando a su alrededor
As a detail for this fan art I wanted to place a Christmas ball in Peaceful Giant's right hand. To do this, after drawing it and applying gradient blue and gold colors for the handle, apply a clipping mask with the whole of our friend the giant, previously making a backup copy and which is then incorporated again to achieve the illusion of the ball inside our Peaceful Giant's hand, and finally I established a green radial gradient background with several stars fluttering around it.
