Three important Bronze League Teams for beginners

_8f424012-5695-4ace-b631-6af33c49df70.jpeg

This post is meant as an introduction to modern Bronze league strategies for beginning players.

We look at three lineups that will help you climb bronze league, that feature no Soulbound cards, meaning that they can be played by any player immediately. You will have to rent the cards though. You can do that directly on the Splinterlands site, or on one of the third party Splinterlands market sites, such as PeakMonsters.

In the battle lineups shown below, gold foil cards indicate which cards form the core of this lineup. Regular foil cards can be substituted with other options if they fit the match better.

I will cover three core setups:

  • Obsidian + Moxian Rebel
  • Tarsa with Tusk the Wide and Sneak attackers
  • Kelya Frendul with Daarg Deadblast

Obsidian with Moxian Rebel:

Mana range: 14-24

Obsidian with Moxian Rebel is a simple yet powerful strategy that relies on maximizing magic damage to the frontline. The Hill Giant in front is a good tank, and Queen Mycelia provides armor to the whole team. It can be countered by Anti-Magic setups, in particular with Thaddius Brood.

The second battle is a loss. Death setups like that are a good way to counter Obsidian.

Tarsa with Tusk the Wide and Sneak attackers

Mana range: 21-35

This strategy is designed to withstand a magic attack based opponent. It relies Gobalano Soldier who has ambush and is likely to break the armor (if any) in the opponents backline, and hopefully killing the high priority monsters in the enemy lineup first. It is weak against heavy frontline melee or ranged damage, and may suffer if it faces too much armor.

Kelya Frendul / Prunda Undervesch / Zeddica with Daarg Deadblast

Mana range: 18-35

This setup comes in a number of forms and is generally quite powerful against all types of damage because Kelya provides armor and speed and water has access to magic-resistant frontlines. It can also be played in a number of variations:

Practicing these three lineups goes a long way in Bronze league. There are a few more lineups to learn for mastering bronze, and certainly obtaining soulbound and gladiator cards are a huge advantage. Nevertheless, the above decks should get you winning a few games, and hopefully get you hooked on Splinterlands!
