Genesis League Sports | Did I just ape in?

Sometimes I literally think that the description of FOMO and jumping right in there is written on my forehead as this is what we tend to do in the moment of impulse. Not reading stuff really good, not thinking about it all that good. But then at a moment of enthousiasm: Boom create an account and start buying. I am literally the dream consumer of every marketeer I think. This episode of ape-ing in and reading in after:

Coming from the official Splinterlands website already three months ago (but you know...then it is all far away and there was enough to do with land, node licenses and Riftwatchers and tower defense packs...soooo TLDR..too long didn't read) came the words that Splinterlands would be partnering up with the MLSPA, and this is an official canal in the soccer world.

I didn't notice, I didnt't pay attention to it simple as that.

But the good thing about the Splinterlands team is that they think stuff through quite well and they are also not afraid to make changes when necessary. A proposal to burn remaining Chaos packs? Genius!

What got me triggered to ape in? The rumor that Splinterlands license nodes rewards might also apply to GLS license nodes. Can you even image. I don't even own an license node!

But throughout the week I saw people writing about getting packs and when you see that, that is about when the trigger of fomo starts to work in my head a I get intrigued by what is going on that I am not a part of.

After all...We write posts and get rewards in Hive and HBD. We rent out our cards on Splinterlands and get DEC. We are making bucks on the daily, why not invest into something right?

And honestly...I couldn't find a lot on Hive on this Genesis League Sports when I used the search function, which again means there is a lot to improve since that is what people look my do. We use the search function and hope we find the perfect topic at once.

So I did what any other sane person would do. I just went to Genesisleaguesport.com and went ahead and made an account. And as you would not hope, this is not with just only putting in your Hive keychain. You also need to put in you email adres, verify this and then link it to your Hive account.

Super annoying! And then even more annoying is that there was KYC process (which always hold me off, especially in start ups) but with ignoring this I still was able to purchase some packs using Hive. $5 per pack which you can not open at the moment to 31 HIVE for three packs was sent over..and then....crickets

Thank god for awesome customer service which responded immediately, and some waiting and f5 refreshing turned out to do the trick

So packs are safe in wallet an apperently you could be able to stake them later on as well. No opening as yet!

I also asked mister customer service for more info and he pointed me out to their Discord which had some useful info after snooping around for a bit.

Here I found this post from @uyobong which actually turned out to be the most useful one of all. Later on I did whhat any other normal person would do. I put out a thread on Leofinance to see how the general idea of this all is

Now hopefully I should see some GLS tokens flowing into my hive account soon because I am holding SPS and this would unlock these GLS tokens. If all of this will work out, who know.

Did I need the KYC? Not for this phase, but I can imagine if this is an official thingy in the end that we would. Is there not enough info avilable as yet?

I feel like I know only 10% of what is going on and will be digging deeper into the matter. Also still flirting with the license node idea on Splinterlands especially if the rumour is that this might unlock rewards on another game as well.

What to do....
