Splinterlands | The next phase and more

The train aint stopping and that applies to the max on Splinterlands currently. In this post you can see what kind of updates there will be on the brawl situation including Merits as reward for completing your brawl which will give you the ability to buy Gladius packs. Siked! New cards!

In the mean time I also saw some updates on the layout on just the normal ranked battles intro. You can see a lot better now when the game starts, what the abilities of the summoners are. Better layout, (and loading of the game is a lot better compared to a couple of weeks back, so that speed makes it a lot more enjoyable), better speed = more attractive!

Brawls

Now the brawl situation is really becoming something special. Being in a guild is the first step. I have been a member of the Immortal Gods 2 since what..1.5 year or so? And even though I am one of the members with the worse deck, sometimes I am still allowed in the brawl to fill up a spot and I enjoy them a lot actually.

But now it is getting more interesting. Because if you participate in a brawl you can also get Merits for filling a spot and actually not fleeing your game. I had understood this feature wrong a while back. We had an open spot for the plot with only Gold Untamed cards which is kind of specific and I thought it needed to be played regardless. But with not having enough golden untamed summoners this ended up in fleeing some battles which didn't really work naturally. So many updates....so many new rules to think about.





As you see there is a lot to upgrade to actually get some rewards. (I can not see the magnitude of the rewards as yet, that will have to come later on when we are actually using them to see how they feel) and this is also a fantastic way designed by the game for people to spend their DEC here versus on the market, which keeps the price higher. Gotta love that game strategy.

Rewards

The rewards still haven't been all that bad for me. Yes the draw rate of cards in the reward packs has seriously decreased, but that seems logical with so many new players in there. But on the other hand, the price of DEC is still so good, that having DEC rewards in your loot chests is also not really a punishment.

I managed to pull out this baby in my rewards earlier in the week. The mighty 'Almo Cambio' which had a value of $30 at the time of drawing which has already increased to $37 just in a couple of days.





Speaking of rewards. The value of the cards is really still hitting frenzy modus and I still see increase daily on my deck. Crazy how just a card game is able to produce these kinds of rewards. Sometimes I really don't know what to say with such increase and what my simple cards are worth all of a sudden. And remember..I am just a mini fish in the pond! Imagine how others are paying their rent with Splinterlands rewards at the moment. Unbelievable

I don't have the feeling that the NFT hype has topped out already. And the difference with a Splinterlands card and for instance a crypto punk... These cards actually have abilities for something. They play a game. The game gives rewards. That is why you want to have them!
