The node validator license has proven to be an awesome investment

Another post about Splinterlands again this week, yeah I know...but there is so much going on with land and everything right now that there is also so much to write about.

Especially since I was on the road during this land release and the great start of the SPS burn and with that the change in the value of SPS, I feel like I have missed a few essentials an I am now finally starting to catch up with what is going on.

Node validator license

I think it was about 1.5 year or maybe even 2 years ago when I was triggered in buying a node validator license (or license node validator, whatever you want to call it). On of the reason for actually taking this step was because of the rumors that the license would also have some options in the game Genesis Sports League. So I signed up for that game as well, bought a couple of packs and decided that it was worth taking the chance on getting the node validator license in Splinterlands.

What it actually does and what you need to do with it? Uhhh, I am not technical enough for that, but usually in Splinterlands you do not need to have the additional skill for anything to still make it work.

By owning the license you would receive about 20 SPS rewards and also 4 vouchers on the daily, and the rumours of having something useful going on by GLS was enough for me to make the effort of starting something.

At that time a license was about 1200 Hive and the Hive price was about the same as it is today. Expensive for a blind investment, but hey...worth a shot right? Look at the price of LICENSE today!!

50% up in price!! I call that a very good ROI by just hodling the thing and it gets even better. I remember that when I initially got it and it was printing SPS daily that I was calculating how long I would have to hold it for the SPS rewards to actually take over the price of the license. It was more years than I could count.

So I grew a bit of my SPS stack in there, and also sold some vouchers along the way and this gave me the option to by a plot of land from these rewards. I have a rare plot which costed me around $78 or 250 HIVE at the time, and the majority of it was funded by selling my SPS and vouchers. I know...I am not the best hodler at all, I decide to move stuff along the way. And now I have land producing GRAIN and SPS. More fun!

And even more fun...!

What is even better what happened in the last couple of weeks/months is that the price of SPS went on the move! And not a small move!





Wow. 0.1 HIVE per SPS at the moment which means this is more than $0.035 per SPS. And I am producing 20 of these per day with the license. And my land is also producing SPS and grain per hour with funds that I bought from the license.

And the initial price has risen?

I call this a decent investment. Keeping for a while still!
