CHALLENGE RULES
THEME: KULU SWIMHUNTER
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
Attack: RANGED
Abilities: ---
RULESET:
The first Ruleset was HEAVY HITTERS, that means that all Monsters have the Knock Out ability. The second Ruleset was REVERSE SPEED, that means that the Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
I chose a water team, although the mostly water monsters have high speeds. But since i have currently rented alric stormbringer, I wanted to run a magic team. And magic always hits, even in the reverse speed ruleset.
LINEUP:
Summoner: ALRIC STORMBRINGER
When I want to play with my water team, I like to rent Alric Stormbringer. His +1 magic makes my magical water monsters very powerful. I would love to own this card, but it currently costs at least $53, which is just too expensive to me.
1. Tank: WAVE BROOD
As tank I took the Wave Brood. With his 12 HP it is well suited as tank and he has 2 more important abilities:
Closed Range and Taunt. So he is able to attack from the first position and all the enemies target this monster.
2. Position: OSHANUS
As second tank I took the Oshanus. He has 10 HP, void magic and in combination with Alric 3 magic damage, what is reaaly strong.
3. Position: VENARI WAVESMITH
When I choose the Alric Stormbringer as summoner, my water team has no armor. So the Venari gives 2 armor on all friendly Monsters and in combination with Alric he has 2 magic damage.
4. Position: NERISSA TRIDWAN
I pulled this card from a treasure chest and love to play it in battles with higher Manacosts. Nerissa has regular 3 magic damage and together with Alric 4 magic damage, what is really destructiv.
5. Position: KULU SWIMHUNTER
The Kulu Swimhunter is a cool range attacker and with 2 damage and 4 Manacosts fits in every team.
6. Position: PELACOR BANDIT
At the 6 position I put the Pelacor Bandit. I was playing the sneak quest, so I needed a sneak monster. He has the flying abilitie, what means he has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. So he can fend off sneak monsters of the opponent.
FIRE AGAINST WATER...LET'S GO:
So let's have a look, if my strategy works...
ROUND 1:
As you can see the opponent has chosen a fire team. The fire monsters are almost slow, so I suspect he thought it was a good idea.
In the first Round the opponents monsters attack only my Wave Brood, so my other monsters don't get any damage. With my high magic damage, I am able to defeat the Living Lava. My Wave Brood is still alive!
ROUND 2:
In round 2 the Wave Brood takes a few more attacks before he falls. My monsters are able to kill the Elven Defender in this Round.
ROUND 3:
In Round 3 I defeat the Disintegrator. The melee monsters of the opponent have no chance against my shield and my high magic damage.
ROUND 4:
At the beginning of Round 4 the opponent has 3 monsters left on the Battlefield. But my monsters kill 2 of them: the Tenyii Striker and the Djinn Apprentice. So at the end of this round, he has only the Molten Ash Golem left on the battlefield and the game is decided for me.
ROUND 5:
In the last round it is easy to defeat the Molten Ash Golem.

CONCLUSION:
It was a clear victory because i only lost one of my monsters.
The fire team didn't had a chance against my magic water team.
The Wave Brood played a big role in this match, as it directed the opponent's attacks to itself alone. So sneak attacks had no effect. The use of Venari Wavesmith also paid off, as the shield was a good protection against the melee attackers of the opponent.
My strategy worked very well :)
I hope you liked my battle and my thoughts about it.
