So everyone,. Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge - Dragons is back. It will be my first time writing about it so I am gradually exhausting the Dragon Monsters I can talk about, well, not really, there are still a ton. This time I have decided to showcase a battle involving a Dragon, which is actually mechanical - the Robo-Dragon Knight. It is an absolute tanking powerhouse in my humble opinion. Of course such power comes at a price - 11 mana is a really significant amount.

Now before getting into the stats discussion of the Monster, let's have a sneak peek into its LORE

By the looks of it, this Dragon is truly a bad-ass invention which every army can benefit hugely from. Thankfully it is on the side of the good guys.

Alright, we've got some idea of what the Robo-Dragon Knight is, after glancing at its lore. Let us have a look at its stats and abilities at different key levels now.

Screenshot_2.jpg

  • Having in mind that it is a Legendary Monster, the Dragon starts off with 2 abilities at level 1 - Void and Divine Shield. Coupled with the its 8 armor and 9 health, it comes well prepared for all sorts of attacks right out of the mechanical dragon factory.

  • At level 2 it gains an additional Melee Attack point for a total of 4, and an additional ability - Piercing (if melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage the target's health) which is actually great for attacking the enemy's tanks

  • At level 3 which is the level for Gold, it gains yet another ability - Return Fire (when hit with a ranged attack, monsters with return fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker). So yet again another great defensive ability for doing some extra damage to the enemy's backline. The Monster also gains an additional health point at this level for a total of 10.

  • Finally maxxed out at level 4 the Monster has 5 Attack, 3 Speed, 8 Armor and 10 Health, and also gains a 5th ability - Magic Reflect. So now not only does it return ranged projectiles back at the enemy's ranged attackers but it also reflects spell damage back to the enemy's casters - what more could you expect from a well-rounded tank such as the Robo-Dragon Knight.
Now that we know what the card does (or doesn't do) at the different levels of play, let us have a look at the battle I have chosen to showcase.

Note: I don't won dragon cards.

Battles

  • The line-up of the Battle and the Ruleset: Battle Mana Cap is 13.

The ruleset for this battle is Healed Out and Explosive Weaponry (all Monsters get the Blast Ability which does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster), and its mana restriction is pretty loose - 25. So this is a great opportunity for me to Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory. They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes. Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land. The Chaos Legion trains them as transports for equipment. Since they can travel by air, ground, or sea, they are ideally suited for the task.

The 2nd place in the line-up goes to a Monster I have already blogged about (you can find the link at the bottom of the page), namely the River Nymph. It's currently the best off-tank in the game due to its Reach and Double Strike abilities. You can never go wrong if you pair the Carnage Titan with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset. Who says waterworks are only cool on NY's Eve.

The 3rd place in the line-up goes to the Ice Pixie. Another Monster who can be a potential and also which I have a dedicated blog about (link at the same place). The temperature of Azmaré’s Frozen Hell has been gradually but steadily increasing for the last ten years, since the salt sickness has taken hold there. The Ice Shelf itself is not in any imminent danger of melting, nor is the Palace of the Frost Giant, but new, mischievous creatures of the ice have been emerging from the melted cracks. These Ice Pixies have apparently been frozen for many lifetimes, simply awaiting a warmer season to make their escape. Once free, Ice Pixies play like warp speed children throughout the Splinterlands, making a real mess of the natural world., even though it already has an explosive attack at level 2, it is a good fit for the overall setup.

The 4th place in the line-up goes to the Ice Pixie. Another Monster who can be a potential and also which I have a dedicated blog about (link at the same place). This Ice Pixie is an actual real. This huge and majestic blue serpent was once the ruler of the jungles of Serpent of Eld. Ages ago, he was ousted from the Palace of Eld by a loosely organized band of jungle rebels. The amphibious Serpent retreated into the waters, declaring himself the enemy of all Azmaré souls. I know but it's stats are great for the occasion, even though it already has an explosive attack at level 3, it is a good fit for the overall setup.

The 5th place in the line-up goes to the Ice Pixie. Another Monster who can be a potential and also which I have a dedicated blog about (link at the same place). Their thick rough scales make the stonefish indistinguishable from chunks of coral or a large boulder but when they attack, very few survive. They can grow up to six feet in length and are wide and strong. Hardy Stonefish attack by slamming their rock-like skulls into their opponent, dealing crushing damage. Anyone who tries to battle this dread aquatic beast will find themselves surprised by the toughness of their scales, making their armor difficult to penetrate, even though it already has an explosive attack at level 4, it is a good fit for the overall setup.

I saw that my enemy favors magic team, and those usually attack the tank. On the other hand they also use a strong tank, so it is easier to attack the back line of these teams.

My strategy was to negate the magic damage as good as possible to win me some time, while I use my stealth attacks.

Round1

Screenshot_2.jpg

Obviously, in all the games in which the 5 cards that we can play are not spent, we must use the 0 mana cards. I think it's the first time I played it in the first position, the reasons were that having Diemonsherk and only one life point, this card was going to die in the first round, so it's better to take advantage of it in the first position to at least expend an enemy attack.

Screenshot_3.jpg

The next two cards were clear to me, and I can't play cards with low health because they would die in the first round. For 5 mana it seems like a very good option to me seeing that it has 3 attack points. In this case I don't take advantage of his Sneak ability because all melee cards have it, but it still seems like a good option.

Screenshot_4.jpg

With the battle conditions of River Nymph, it was necessary to play this card because it does not affect him. My idea was to have it as protected as possible, so in third position it seemed like a good idea.

Screenshot_5.jpg

Another of my favorite death cards, I play it almost always, and in this case I hope that by having Ice Pixie the enemy is going to use a lot of melee cards, and I think it's a very good idea to use this card in the last position so that enemy melee attacks take damage with each attack they make.

Screenshot_6.jpg

As we can see, the price of the two decks is very unequal, the rival team costs more than 3 times the price of my cards, and even their summoner is level 3 when mine is level 4. A priori I have the losing, but let's see how it goes.

In this case, despite the fact that the rival team was more than 3 times more expensive than mine, it has not been able to win my team and my strategy. Here I leave you the summary table of the Battle Challenges won by the expensive and cheap deck since I do the follow-up.

Screenshot_11.jpg

Let's look at the price of the decks to see if the most expensive deck wins (which should mean better cards) or you don't have to spend a lot of money to win if you know how to use the cards well. Knowing that there are gold cards that are very expensive compared to the normal version, I only take into account the price of the card according to the level and considering the normal version.

And here I leave you the link of my battle so you can see how it has been. You can see my battle fight this link: https://steemmonsters.com?p=battle&id=sl_f7d0bb24d445d7115764f0e7c733f8fa&ref=karuna21
