Splinterlands Social Media Challenge || Epic card in water splint: Tide Biter

The last week at Splinterlands has been a busy one. New reward system has left opinions for all types. Personally my opinion is very positive and that's what we'll talk about next week. But then again, new reward cards have been released. My water deck has been expanded with two of them. And this week, I want to look at one of those two new cards: Tide Biter.

Tide Biter: a pleasant surprise

Two cards have left me with reward chests this week in the new releases. One was a common card with ranged attack: Merdhampir. The other, having luck in the opening of the chests, was an epic rarity card with melee attack and features that make it very interesting for my water deck strategy. This week, it's time to talk about a new card that will delight the most gamblers in low mana battles.

At a first glance at Tide Biter it is easy to guess what use and under what circumstances this new card will be used. Even with a good water deck, one of my weaknesses was low mana battles. Those kind of battles where it doesn't pay off to put our beasts in our lineup. Djinn Oshannus, Diemonshark, Flying Squid or Baakjira, for example. And Tide Biter fits perfectly if we put him together with Cruel Sethropod, Pelacor Bandit, Merdaali Guardian and Igor Darkspear we get a very interesting variety for battles with little summoning mana.
Tide Biter already has the Reach skill at level 1. A skill that almost forces us to put it in second position in our line-up. An attack point and an important 4 health and 4 speed points for a card that only consumes three mana points. At level 2, it also adds an attack point, making Tide BIter a card to consider for level up to Silver. At higher level it gains a very scarce ability like Reflection Shield. Very useful and whose effect is to prevent damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns and Return Fire.
TIDE BITER IN ACTION
Nothing better than a battle to see Tide Biter in action and what he is capable of. Let's test him in a battle with only 13 mana points and against an opponent that competes with Doctor Sloan as a summoner and has a legendary like Lensmaster and an epic card like Halfling Alchemist in its ranks.
Our strategy is based on the power of Kelya Frendul at level 3 and we surround Tide Biter with Cruel Sethropod in front and Pelacor Bandit behind. Our three creatures can attack from the first round, but to get to their two main cards we'll have to first eliminate Gargoya Scrapper, Furious Chicken and Creeping Ooze. Will we make it?
