Hello everyone to my share your battle challenge. This week the theme is Dragons. Dragon is a unique splinter since it has the ability to combine and cooperate with any other splinters in the game. With that being said they provide a ton of versatility and flexibility so your opponent can never predict you.

1. Summoners

)
There are many summoners out there for the dragon splinter, but the one we all can use no matter the rank is the drake of arnak. He gives +1 armor to every card you have on the board and is beneficial for most of the low mana fights. There are other many useful dragon summoners out there such as Delwyn who gives +1 magic or the Brighton Bloom who is amazing in the earthquake rule set due to her ability to give flying effect to all friendly cards. But indisputably best summoner for dragons is the kitty. She is a legendary summoner that just gives you the right buffs that you need to win most of your matches. But that is why she is quite expensive and not everyone could afford her.

2. Uniqueness

If you choose a dragon summoner you need to pair it with another splinter. You get access to all of the dragon cards that you own but you have to use cards from other splinters as well. That ability of the dragons make you a little bit more hard to read since your opponent doesn't know what cards you are going to play since you are combining 2 splinters in 1 team. I consider this as a great advantage over your opponent because being unpredictable gives you the best chance of winning every match in Splinterlands. Also if you don't chose the dragon splinter you are restricted from using any dragon cards. There is a quick table on how you can pair the dragon splinter with the other ones and what cards from which splinters you can use.

3. The battle and the line - up

The ruleset in this current match is called healed out. It doesn't allow any heals whatsoever so no card can get healed in the current battle. Also the mana cap is 25 and we can only use dragon, death and fire splinters.
based on the situation and the previous games of my opponent, I thought he will play fire with Tarsa and tons of sneak attacks. This is what led me to a conclusion to use the dragon splinter myself so I get that extra armor and I can attack at least twice with most of my cards. So on to the line - up now.

My opponent line - up:

Let's talk about strategy

Based on the last 5 games of my opponent and the rule set I thought he will play fire which is why I decided to be as flexible as possible and play dragon alongside fire with some sneak attacks , thorns and opportunity. I wanted to kill his backline as fast as possible. I presumed that he will do the same thing and that is why I wanted to have extra armor than extra damage. But my opponent proved me wrong and decided to play death team with some sneak attacks on his own and thorns as well. And this is where the armor actually came in clutch, but before I show you why let's check out the dragon card that I am using:

image.png
As you can see Djin chwala provides tankiness with his 9 HP and 5 armor on the first level which makes him an amazing tank but combine this with the thorns ability ( when hit with a melee attack , does 2 damage to the attacker) you have a brilliant tank with good melee damage on hit and very useful ability that can kill the backline on its own.

4- The battle

you can watch the battle here

the beggining.png

The battle begins with the summoners giving their buffs and debuffs.

As you can see my team is all backline damage oriented so if I don't take out his sneak attackers and his magic attacker fast I will be in trouble. It's a good thing that I have the extra armor that way my scorcher can absorb 2 attacks instead of 1 .

end of 1st round.png

At the end of the first round you can already see that my "meat shields" are already dead due to the sneak and snipe attackers on the enemy side. But I also killed his first position card and damaged his Sha - Vi.

end of 2nd round.png
At the end of round 2 I have already taken care of 1 of his sneak attacker his windeku will die in the next attack and his sha - vi is on the brink of death.

end of 3rd round.png
With his only damage card left on the field he will need a miracle to turn the game around as I have 2 backline attackers ready to kill his last damage dealing card.

end of round 4 and it is a win for us.png
With the Riftwing being his only card left he can no longer damage any of my cards so its a matter of time before this game ends.

End result

end result.png
The game resulted in a win for me with a pretty well organised strategy with a team full of both damage and tankiness to secure me the win.

My opinion and review

The dragon splinter is really fun and easy to use and can secure you many wins in both lower and higher level of gameplay. With its versatility and flexibility you can never get read by the opponent and you always have the upper hand in your games.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post I hope you have a great day and I wish you to win all of your future games with the MIGHTY DRAGONS
