Meet Me In Total (My Introductory Post)

Kefe has been a signature for four decades now, consistently developing creative skills through experimentation and coming up with masterpieces. So I developed a style! This, as a result, led to the originality of the signature fee" Since the age of eleven has always loved to be in charge. I started drawing, painting, and a bit of sculpture later. I picked up an interest in outdoor drawing and painting (landscape, seascape), with a great deal of realism in context. In my choice of materials for the execution of the concept, as regards my self-expression, I have always been guided by realism and durability.

Collage-making became my choice from the beginning. This involved looking beyond conventional materials commonly used by artists; collage involves sorting for materials around our environment that can be used to create pictures, texture, and perspective. I hope to get better; every work is an experiment! With a wide range of materials such as papers, sands of different colors and textures, coconut husk, sticks, bamboo leaves and sticks, pieces of clothing, sawdust, stone adhesive, etc.

Consistency has been the driving force! I began as an apprentice. My master was a sculptor and painter and a collage maker. Three guys were learners at the time; the other guys were my seniors.

My Experience With the Master

I felt the greatest embarrassment of my life on my first day of apprenticeship. I wanted to show zeal and commitment, so I decided to tidy up the studio before the arrival of my master. Likewise, I never knew this would put me in hot soup! When he came, he was very furious. Instead of being pleased, he said I had swept away all these materials! He was quite elderly. So he handled us as such. He immediately exposed me to outdoor drawing and nature drawing. Other folks joined later on after the departure of the master, who is a foreigner. A Ghanaian, to be precise. Some of my strengths under his tutorship are dedication, curiosity, and experimentation. In addition to this, I used to be part of the art club at the national museum growing up as a little boy. I have also taken part in several workshops; I remember the one organized by the German Cultural Center here in Lagos, Nigeria.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH FELLOW TRAINEE

As a person, I love to be original when it comes to creativity. My colleagues always saw me as a deviant, so they criticized my works often, but I didn't allow their criticisms to deter my focus since most of the works they criticized were once liked by people out there. I have been focused on getting it right for a little over four decades now. As of today, all of them have dumped art for other jobs as a source of livelihood. I remain the last man standing at the moment!

My other training.

I am also a food scientist by profession. I hold a bachelor's degree in food science and technology. Unfortunately, I didn't find myself practicing; rather, I took up the job of teaching science subjects in high schools and also creating time for artwork.

My Philosophy Life

I believe in natural scientific laws. To me, philosophy means the love of wisdom. According to Sir Isaac Newton, a body will remain in a state of rest or a uniform motion unless a force is applied, and for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. What we give to life is what we get from it! Life is beautiful if you care. Service to humanity, care, and love towards yourself, your neighbor, your country, and the world are the best bets to provide happiness in one's life by the time you become a solution to another person's questions, needs, and even those of animals. Plants, and our environment. We require action to create the changes we desire, and that's the reason I remain consistent and persistent in making my signature go global. I hope I will find a platform to showcase my works to a global audience and perhaps viewers. I will have a global exhibition of COLLAGE someday.

Materials and Tools

Materials are cheap to acquire, but occasionally they are tedious to locate! A vivid and close examination of materials that relate to or perhaps bear a natural resemblance to your conceived ideas, considering factors like durability and weight. Aerial perspective, texture, etc.

Materials such as black carbon sand, sandstone, pebbles, bamboo sticks, boards, knives, pencils, coconut leaves, and husk. Below are some materials and tools.

Methodology and Process of Making Collage

Cutting off the board to the desired picture size remains the first thing to do, followed by darkening the board with carbon black, which serves as a background for the works, then sketching the picture (in most cases imaginatively), then applying materials such as paper, cutting them to desired shapes, using the appropriate adhesive. The textural representation of materials is a significant factor to consider.

FINISHING

The work is usually finished without framing. Framing the collection makes it presentable and handy. Have a look at a finished collage with no paint pigment; it is very natural.

Thank you.

Welcome to the Hive community @kefepicaso!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your password or keys; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.
