viel ist passiert im September.
Steemmonsters hat nochmal Mitarbeitende entlassen. Aggroed wurde als CEO von @yabapmatt abgelöst. Neben Land 1.5 wurde auch Rebellion für Q4 bestätigt und die Einnahmen sollen 50/50 mit dem DAO geteilt werden.
Wenn ihr wissen wollt, was ich von diesen Veränderungen halte und wie ich mich positioniere lest diesen Artikel.
Zuerst schauen wir jedoch auf die Entwicklung meines Gesamtportfolios.

A lot happened in September.
Steemmonsters has laid off employees again. Aggroed was replaced as CEO by @yabapmatt. Besides Land 1.5, Rebellion was confirmed for Q4 and the sales shall be shared with the DAO 50/50..
If you want to know what I think of these changes and how I position myself read this article.
First, though, let's look at the development of my overall portfolio.

Bei den meisten Positionen nehme ich den Marktwert von der Hive-Engine, oder dem Marktplatz, auf dem die Assets gehandelt werden.
Gerade bei Werten, die mir aber deutlich überhöht vorkommen, nehme ich Abschläge vor. Das ist hier z.B. bei den Muterra Positionen der Fall.
Auch wenn ich nur noch Positionen ab 10 $ aufführe, wird die Liste gefühlt immer länger. Mittelfristig muss ich mir da mal was überlegen.
Für die "Monks" unter uns. Bitte nicht wundern, wenn die Summe nicht ganz aufgeht.

Fazit
Bereits Anfang des Monats, also bevor die News rund um Splinterlands veröffentlich wurden, habe ich 500 € eingezahlt und davon hauptsächlich DEC gekauft. Mit diesen möchte ich meine Landplots, die ich Anfang des Monats gekauft habe bestücken, sowie mein Deck verstärken.
Um die Plots gut zu betreiben, habe ich auch 3 Common Totems gekauft. Mehr zu Land, weiter unten in diesem Artikel.
Die Anzahl meiner SPS konnte ich um mehr als 10 % steigern. Leider fällt der Preis weiterhin so stark, dass meine SPS insgesamt weniger wert sind.
Der größte Verlust betrifft meine MALDIVES Packs. Es wird wenig gehandelt, aber jemand hat ein Pack für 2 Hive verkauft, und damit den Preis in den Keller gedrückt. Solange es keine News zu @muterra World gibt, werden wir hier auch keine höheren Preise sehen. Ich habe selbst ein Kauforder eingestellt, falls noch jemand so günstig verkaufen möchte.
Ich habe eines meiner WOOLAND mit WOO gesteigert. Sobald das Spiel los geht, will ich vorbereitet sein. Der Wert von WOO ist bereits gestiegen.
Der Hive Preis ist wieder leicht gestiegen. Das stabilisiert das Portfolio etwas.
Am Ende steht ein kleiner Verlust von 361 € in diesem Monat. Für die News die Splinterlands Ende des Monats veröffentlich hat, ein kleiner Wert.
Conclusion
Already at the beginning of the month, before the news about Splinterlands was published, I deposited 500 € and bought mainly DEC. With these I want to equip my landplots, which I bought at the beginning of the month, as well as strengthen my deck.
To keep the plots running well, I also bought 3 Common Totems. More on land, further down in this article.
I was able to increase the number of SPS I have by more than 10%. Unfortunately, the price continues to drop so much that my SPS are worth less overall.
The biggest loss are my MALDIVES packs. There is little trading going on, but someone sold a Pack for 2 Hive, driving the price down. Until there is news on @muterra World, we won't see higher prices here either. I have put in a buy order myself in case anyone else wants to sell that cheap.
I have increased one of my WOOLAND with WOO. Once the game starts, I want to be prepared. The value of WOO has already gone up.
The hive price has gone up slightly again. That stabilizes the portfolio a bit.
In the end there is a small loss of 361 € this month. For the news that Splinterlands published at the end of the month, a small value.
Splinterlands
Ich habe jetzt meinen Rhythmus für die beiden Accounts gefunden. Kheldar1982 spielt Wild in Diamond und Gold in Modern.
Wild wird immer dann bespielt, wenn ich wenig Zeit habe. Modern spiele ich selbst, vor allem, wenn ich gerade gemietet habe. Deshalb bleibt dieser Accounts auch auf Gold, da ich für den Brawl hauptsächlich Goldkarten miete.
Damit habe ich es in beiden Ligen dieses Mal ins Leaderboard geschafft und 30.000 DEC eingenommen.
Ich bleibe dabei die 50.000 SPS zuzumieten. Die Kosten sind aber inzwischen bei 0.005 DEC pro SPS pro Tag.
Kheldar1982a spielt in Wild Silber. Selbst spiele ich mit diesem Account nicht.
Splinterlands
I have now found my rhythm for the two accounts. Kheldar1982 plays Wild in Diamond and Gold in Modern.
Wild is always played when I have little time. Modern I play myself, especially when I have just rented. That's why this account stays on Gold, because I mainly rent Gold cards for Brawl.
With that, I made it to the leaderboard in both leagues this time and took in 30,000 DEC.
I'm sticking with renting the 50,000 SPS. But the costs are now at 0.005 DEC per SPS per day.
Kheldar1982a plays in wild silver. This account I do not play manualy.
Deck Entwicklung
Im September habe ich gezielt Chaos Legion und Riftwatcherskarten zugekauft.
Ich habe vor allem die Commons und Rewardskarten maximiert. Auch habe ich einige $ in Ash Mirages investiert, und diese nun auf Level 9 gebracht.
Ancient Redwood ist nun auch Level 3.
Deck development
In September, I specifically purchased Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers cards.
Especially I have maxed the commons and rewards cards. I also invested some $ in Ash Mirages, which is now level 9.

Mein Land
Für Land gibt es wenig Neuigkeiten. Inzwischen ist Land 1.5 auf dem MAV-Server verfügbar. Anfang Oktober gab es auch einen neuen Build.
Es gibt jedoch noch einige Fehler, die einen schnellen Release verhindern. Vor Ende des Monats erwarte ich keinen Go-Life.

My land
There is little news for Land. In the meantime, Land 1.5 is available on the MAV server. There was also a new build at the beginning of October.
However, there are still some bugs that prevent a quick release. I don't expect a go-live before the end of the month.
So more hopefully in the next update.
Schlechte Neuigkeiten?
Am 25.09. veröffentlichte @splinterlands die Neuigkeit, dass erneut Mitarbeitende entlassen werden mussten, um sicherzustellen, dass die Firma die nächsten Monate überleben kann.
Gleichzeitig wurden alle Anwendungen, die nicht zu Splinterlands gehören, wie z.B. GLS oder Invenium in eine Tochter abgespalten, die von @aggroed geleitet wird. @yabapmatt wird CEO von Steemmonsters Inc. und damit Splinterlands. An Projekten verbleibt neben Splinterlands noch Soulkeep, das Tower Defense Spiel bei Steemmonsters Inc.

Im Townhall des 25.09. wurden unter anderem die neuen kurzfristigen Ziele von Splinterlands genannt, und mit groben Zeiträumen versehen. Der Hauptfokus liegt nun darauf sowohl Land 1.5 endlich an den Start zu bringen, als auch den Verkauf von Rebellion zu beginnen. Damit hatte ich so schnell gar nicht mehr gerechnet.
Der Hauptfokus von Matt selbst, ist es Gelder für Splinterlands aufzutreiben. Dies könnte z.B. darüber erreicht werden, Teile von Steemmonsters Inc. an weitere Investoren zu verkaufen. Das wird aber wohl nur mit hohen Abschlägen gelingen. Wenn es jedoch gelingt, damit Steemmonsters Inc. für die nächste Zeit mit frischem Kapital auszustatten, wäre es sicher sinnvoll.

Im Town Square letzte Woche stellte sich Matt den Fragen der Community. Dabei gab es unter anderem die Aussage, dass Splinterlands ohne Einnahmen noch Mittel für ca. 5-6 Monate hat.
Wenn die Ressourcen von Steemmonsters Inc. nicht ausreichen Land 1.5 und Rebellion gleichzeitig zu entwickeln, ist es für Matt wichtiger, Rebellion zu starten.
Der Plan den Sale von Rebellion in wenigen Wochen eventuell Ende Oktober zu starten. Dies würde dann auch das modern Format verändern, und Untamed sowie Dice aus Modern entfernen.
Bad news?
On 09/25 @splinterlands published the news that employees had to be laid off again to make sure the company can survive the next months.
At the same time, all applications that are not part of Splinterlands, such as GLS or Invenium were spun off into a subsidiary that will be led by @aggroed. @yabapmatt becomes CEO of Steemmonsters Inc. and thus Splinterlands. Besides Splinterlands, Soulkeep, the tower defense game, will remain at Steemmonsters Inc.

In the townhall of the 25.09. the new short term goals of Splinterlands were mentioned, among other things, and provided with rough time frames. The main focus now is to finally launch Land 1.5 and to start selling Rebellion. I didn't expect that to happen so soon.
The main focus of Matt himself is to raise funds for Splinterlands. This could be achieved by selling parts of Steemmonsters Inc. to other investors. However, this will probably only succeed at a high discount. However, if this succeeds in providing Steemmonsters Inc. with fresh capital for the near future, it would certainly make sense.

In the Town Square last week, Matt answered questions from the community. One of the things he said was that Splinterlands still has funds for about 5-6 months without revenue.
If the resources of Steemmonsters Inc. are not enough to develop Land 1.5 and Rebellion at the same time, it is more important for Matt to launch Rebellion.
The plan to launch the sale of Rebellion in a few weeks possibly at the end of October. This would then also change the modern format, removing Untamed and Dice from Modern.
Meine Sicht auf die Dinge
Auch wenn ich im ersten Moment geschockt war, bin ich der Meinung dass diese Schritte überfällig waren.
Es ist wichtig, harte Entscheidungen zu treffen, wenn man das Große und Ganze retten will.
Bereits letztes Jahr hätte GLS und Invenium von Splinterlands getrennt werden müssen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Entwickler sich voll auf Splinterlands konzentrieren können. Nun kann man das tun.
Es ist immer noch nicht komplett klar, wie viele Mittel verfügbar sind, und wie hoch die Kosten pro Monat sind.
Es stehen derzeit Kosten von ca. 250.000 $ pro Monat im Raum. Also ca. 3 Millionen $ pro Jahr.
Dieses Geld muss erst einmal eingenommen werden. Die größte Einnahmequelle dürften die ca. alle 2-3 Jahre erscheinenden Haupteditionen sein. Dazu kommen noch Quartalsweise Promokarten.
Ob die Einnahmen der Nebeneditionen wie Dice, oder Riftwatchers in Zukunft direkt an Steemmonsters Inc. gehen, oder an den DAO ist offen. Das hängt wohl auch stark von Ausgang des Proposals ab, welches Matt bzgl. Rebellion gestartet hat.
Zusammengefasst soll der DAO 250.000 $ an Steemmonsters geben, um Rebellion zu finanzieren. Im Gegenzug erhält der DAO 50 % aller Einnahmen aus dem Rebellion Verkauf.
Zuerst dachte ich mir: "Wie schlecht muss es um Splinterlands stehen, dass man so einen schlechten Deal für das Unternehmen anbietet. Ich denke jeder geht davon aus, dass die Erlöse aus Rebellion 500.000 $ klar übersteigen werden.
Wenn ich aber bedenke, dass es ja zwischen den Haupt-, immer auch die Nebeneditionen gibt, und diese ja eventuell dann auch so finanziert werden könnten, dann ist das ein cleverer Zug seitens Matt, der ihm in kürzeren Abständen regelmäßigere Einnahmen zur Verfügung stellen könnte, um den Laden am Laufen zu halten.
Für Modernspieler, sind die neuen Editionen Pflicht. Ansonsten muss man früher oder später auf Wild wechseln, und sich doch wieder mit Kitty und Yodin herumschlagen. Wobei auch klar ist, dass diese mit jeder Edition schwächer werden.
Ob man ca. 6.000.000 $ (3.000.000 Steemmonsters Inc. + 3.000.000 $ DAO) pro Jahr einnehmen kann, um die laufenden Kosten zu decken, wird sich zeigen. Dafür müssen definitiv mehr Spieler an Board kommen.
Die Kosten vor dem Announcement wären aber wohl so schnell nicht erzielbar gewesen.
Je mehr ich darüber nachdenke, umso mehr bin ich der Auffassung, dass Splinterlands nun endlich die Kurve bekommt.
Daher habe ich mich auch entschlossen, nochmals ordentlich ins Spiel zu investieren.
My view of things
Even though I was shocked at first, I think these steps were overdue.
It is important to make tough decisions if you want to save the big picture.
Already last year GLS and Invenium should have been separated from Splinterlands to make sure that the developers can fully focus on Splinterlands. Now they can do that.
It is still not completely clear how much funding is available, and what the cost per month will be.
Rumors tell, there is currently a cost of about $250,000 per month. So about $3 million per year.
This money must first be collected. The biggest source of income should be the main editions, which are released every 2-3 years. In addition there are quarterly promo cards.
Whether the income of the side editions like Dice, or Riftwatchers will go directly to Steemmonsters Inc. in the future, or to the DAO is open. This also depends on the outcome of the proposal Matt started regarding Rebellion.
In summary, the DAO is supposed to give $250,000 to Steemmonsters to fund Rebellion. In return, the DAO will receive 50% of all revenue from Rebellion sales.
At first I thought to myself, "In what bad condition Splinterlands has to be, to offer such a bad deal for the company. I think everyone assumes that the proceeds from Rebellion will clearly exceed $500,000.
But when I consider that between the main editions, there are always the side editions, and those could possibly be financed that way, then that's a smart move on Matt's part, which could provide him with more regular revenue at shorter intervals to keep the store going.
For Modern players, the new editions are mandatory. Otherwise, sooner or later, you'll have to switch to Wild, and still have to deal with Kitty and Yodin again. Whereby it is also clear that these become weaker with each edition.
It remains to be seen whether it will be possible to earn about $6,000,000 ($3,000,000 Steemmonsters Inc. + $3,000,000 DAO) per year to cover the running costs. More players will definitely need to come on board for this to happen.
But the pre-announcement costs probably wouldn't have been achievable so quickly.
The more I think about it, the more I think that Splinterlands is finally getting its act together.
That's why I decided to invest in the game again.
Meine Pläne für Rebellion
Und zwar in Rebellion.
Aus meiner Sicht ist das wichtigste an Rebellion, dass Untamed und Dice und damit viel zu starke Summoner wie Kitty, Yodin oder Mylor aus Modern verschwinden.
Ich bin erst mit Chaos Legion eingestiegen und muss mir daher für jeden Brawl für teure DEC Summoner und Key Cards mieten. Das endet hoffentlich mit der Einführung von Rebellion.
Ursprünglich bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass ein Rebellion Pack 5 $ kosten wird. Ich hatte mir 5.000 € zurecht gelegt, um mindestens 1.000 Packs + Bonus kaufen zu können.
Übers Jahr habe ich einen Teil dieses Geldes in HBD angelegt, um die 20 % Zins mitzunehmen. Auch habe von dem Geld die Investitionen in WOO finanziert, so dass nicht mehr ganz 5.000 € verfügbar sind.
Das muss aber wohl auch nicht sein. Der endgültige Preis für Rebellion Packs wurde zwar noch nicht veröffentlicht, aber Matt lies durchblicken, dass es wohl 5 $ pro Pack werden, die durch das Verbrennen von Vouchern reduziert werden können. Ob der reduzierte Preis dann 4 $ oder sogar darunter sein wird, wird hoffentlich am Montag im Townhall veröffentlicht.
Bisher fehlt auch noch eine Aussage darüber, ob es Bonuspacks geben wird, oder nicht. Ich gehe bisher von der normalen Staffel mit 10 % ab 100, 15 % ab 500 und 20 % ab 2.000 Packs aus.
Bekannt ist, dass das System des Airdrops geändert wird. Es werden nicht mehr die im Shop gekauften Packs belohnt, sondern das Halten der Rebellion Assets. Also sowohl der Packs, als auch der Karten aus den Packs. Das unabhängig davon, woher ich diese Assets habe.
Auch bekannt ist, dass die Größe des Sets ungefähr so wie die von Chaos Legion sein soll.
Mit Stichtag 07.10. habe ich etwas mehr als 2.500.000 DEC auf meinem Account. Ich habe noch 2.600 HBD in den Savings. Wenn ich diese heute komplett in DEC tauschen würde, kämen nochmal ca. 3.500.000 DEC dazu. Ich gehe aber eher davon aus, dass ich zwischen 4 und 5 Millionen DEC in Rebellion investieren werde.
Wenn es nach den neuen Regeln Sinn macht, werde ich mich auch mit dem ein oder anderen Gildenkollegen zusammenschließen, um die höchstmögliche Anzahl an Bonuspacks zu ergattern. Sicherheitshalber habe ich mir auch noch ein paar Voucher gekauft. Nun habe ich ungefähr 3.000.
Sobald mehr zu Rebellion bekannt wird, starte ich eine "Road to Rebellion" Artikelserie, wie es auch 2022 bei Riftwatchers gemacht habe. Folgt mir also, wenn ihr nichts verpassen wollt.
My plans for Rebellion
And thats Rebellion.
From my point of view, the most important thing about Rebellion is that Untamed and Dice and thus far too strong Summoners like Kitty, Yodin or Mylor disappear from Modern.
I only got into Splinterlands with Chaos Legion, so I have to rent Summoners and Key Cards for expensive DEC for every Brawl. Hopefully that ends with the introduction of Rebellion.
I originally assumed that a Rebellion pack would cost $5. I had set aside €5,000 to be able to buy at least 1,000 packs + bonus.
Over the year I invested some of this money in HBD to take the 20% interest. Also have financed from the money the investments in WOO, so that no longer quite 5,000 € are available.
But I guess that doesn't have to be the case. The final price for Rebellion Packs hasn't been released yet, but Matt let slip that it will probably be $5 per pack, which can be reduced by burning vouchers. Whether the reduced price will then be $4 or even less will hopefully be revealed in Townhall on Monday.
So far there is also no word on whether or not there will be bonus packs. I assume so far the normal stages with 10% from 100, 15% from 500 and 20% from 2,000 packs.
It is known that the system of the airdrop will be changed. Packs bought in the store will no longer be rewarded, but holding the rebellion assets will be. That is, both the packs and the cards from the packs. This regardless of where I got these assets from.
Also known is that the size of the set should be about the same as Chaos Legion.
As of 10/07, I have a little over 2,500,000 DEC on my account. I still have 2,600 HBD in the Savings. If I would exchange them completely into DEC today, I would get another 3.500.000 DEC. But I rather expect to invest between 4 and 5 million DEC in Rebellion.
If it makes sense under the new rules, I'll also team up with a guildmate or two to get the highest number of bonus packs possible. To be on the safe side, I also bought some vouchers. Now I have about 3,000.
As more is revealed about Rebellion, I'll start a "Road to Rebellion" series of articles, like I did on Riftwatchers in 2022. So follow me if you don't want to miss anything.

Ich miete weiterhin die 50k SPS pro Tag für den Hauptaccount. Das hat si9ch bewährt.
Man merkt, dass wir in den Brawls im September schlechter abgeschnitten haben. Daher kommt auch der hauptsächliche Rückgang beim SPS Zuwachs.
Karten konnte ich wieder mehr sammeln. Gold Foils gab es zwar weniger, aber insgesamt kann ich mit den Rewardkarten zufrieden sein.
Ich habe mehrere Karten auf Max, bzw. knapp davor. Wenn ich Matt richtig verstanden habe, kommt das neue Rewardset frühestens im Q2. Bis dahin sollte es mir gelingen, alles auf Max zu haben.
Ich inzwischen auch definitiv genügend Tränke für die Rebellion Packs.
Conclusion
I continue to rent the 50k SPS per day for the main account. This has been si9ch.
You can see that we did worse in the brawls in September. Therefore, the main decline in the SPS growth.
I was able to collect more cards again. There were less Gold Foils, but overall I can be satisfied with the reward cards.
I have several cards on max, or just before it. If I understood Matt correctly, the new rewards set will come in Q2 at the earliest. By then I should manage to have everything at max.
I also now definitely have enough potions for the Rebellion Packs.

An den Kartenpreisen kann man sehen, das erneut einige Spieler Splinterlands verlassen, oder zumindest ihr Risiko reduziert haben.
Ich nutze die Gelegenheit, um einige bisher teure Karten wie Ash Mirage oder noch fehlenden CL / RW Summoner zu kaufen.
Das Gesamtportfolio war trotz der "schlechten" Nachrichten recht stabil. Alles was es jetzt braucht ist ein kleiner Zünder, und es könnte durch die Decke gehen.
Zusätzlich zu Splinterlands sind auch WOO, Astral Wars und auch Muterra dabei ihre Spiele in die nächste Phase zu bringen. Doch dazu mehr in einem anderen Artikel.

You can see from the card prices that once again some players have left Splinterlands, or at least reduced their risk.
I took the opportunity to buy some previously expensive cards like Ash Mirage or still missing CL / RW Summoner.
The overall portfolio was quite stable despite the "bad" news. All it needs now is a little igniter and it could go through the roof.
In addition to Splinterlands, WOO, Astral Wars and also Muterra are in the process of taking their games to the next phase. But more on that in another article.
