Die Road to Praetoria enthält alle meine Splinterlands Posts.
Dieser Post beinhaltet mein Quartalsupdate. Dieses fiel so ernüchternt aus, dass ich es im April nicht runterschreiben konnte. Ich bin auch tatsächlich am überlegen, einige meiner Splinterlands Assets zu verkaufen, da es stetig nur bergab geht. Dazu aber später mehr.

The Road to Praetoria contains all my Splinterlands posts.
This post contains my quarterly update. This one was so sobering that I couldn't write it down in April. I'm actually considering selling some of my Splinterlands assets, as things are going steadily downhill. But more on that later.

Kheldars Hive-Portfolio 31.03.2024
Bei den meisten Positionen nehme ich den Marktwert von der Hive-Engine, oder dem Marktplatz, auf dem die Assets gehandelt werden.
Gerade bei Werten, die mir aber deutlich überhöht vorkommen, nehme ich Abschläge vor. Das ist hier z.B. bei den Muterra Posit.ionen der Fall.
Auch wenn ich nur noch Positionen ab 10 $ aufführe, wird die Liste gefühlt immer länger. Mittelfristig muss ich mir da mal was überlegen.
Für die "Monks" unter uns. Bitte nicht wundern, wenn die Summe nicht ganz aufgeht.

Especially for values that seem to me to be significantly inflated, I take markdowns. This is the case here, for example, with the Muterra positions.

Fazit
Wie gewonnen so zerronnen. Trotz einem steigenden Hive Preis. Einem stark anziehenden Kryptomarkt von Januar bis März verlieren meine Assets auf Hive massiv an Wert. Damit bin ich wieder alles betrachtet im Minus.
Katastrophal meine Splinterlands Assets. SPS verliert fast die Hälfte an Wert (bis heute ja nochmal 35 %), DEC weg vom Peg und die Karten, LICENSE und RUNI gehen ebenfalls in die Knie. Warum das aus meiner Sicht so ist, beschreibe ich später.
Aber auch die anderen Spiele sehen nicht viel besser aus. WOO -34 %, MUT -54 %. Könnte ich die Assetpreise hier genau ermitteln, würde ich sicher ebenfalls große Abschläge verzeichnen. Zumindest steigt WOO inzwischen wieder etwas mit der Einführung der Ranked Rewards.
Das es auch anders geht zeigt der Leo Token. Dieser hat sich in der Zeit nahezu verdoppelt.
Bei meinen Pools habe ich begonnen zu restrukturieren. Der Swap.Hive:Voucher Pool erhält keine SPS Rewards mehr, daher habe ich meine Voucher nun dort gestaked. Kleiner Spoiler, im 2. Quartal werde ich noch mehr an meinen Pools ändern.
Ich muss sagen, dass ich ziemlich gefrustet bin zumal die Token anderer Chains durch die Decke gehen. Noch austehender Altcoin Bullrun hin oder her.
Conclusion
Easy come, easy go. Despite a rising Hive price. A strongly rising crypto market from January to March caused my assets on Hive to lose a lot of value. So I'm back in the red all things considered.
My Splinterlands assets are catastrophic. SPS has lost almost half of its value (another 35% to date), DEC is off the peg and the cards, LICENSE and RUNI are also on their knees. I'll explain later why I think this is the case.
But the other games don't look much better either. WOO -34 %, MUT -54 %. If I could determine the exact asset prices here, I would certainly also record large discounts. At least WOO is now rising again somewhat with the introduction of ranked rewards.
The Leo token shows that there is another way. It has almost doubled in value in the meantime.
I have started to restructure my pools. The Swap.Hive:Voucher Pool no longer receives SPS rewards, so I have now staked my vouchers there. Small spoiler, in the 2nd quarter I will change my pools even more.
I have to say that I'm pretty frustrated, especially as the tokens of other chains are going through the roof. Pending Altcoin Bullrun or not.
Entwicklung der Rewards
Die Rewards werde ich ab sofort nicht mehr tracken. Es macht mit dem neuen System ja keinen wirklichen Sinn mehr.
Fürs erste Quartal kann ich festhalten, dass die Rewards von Saison zu Saison weniger wurden und das obwohl ich weiterhin meine SPS zu 100 % gestaked habe.
Mit dem neuen System erreichen meine Rewards das absolute Minimum. Zum Teil kann ich den Rückgang dadurch kompensieren, das ich mein Land von Research auf SPS umgestellt habe.
Das ist aus meiner Sicht auch der Grund, warum mehr und mehr Spieler das Spiel verlassen.
Die Rewards sinken, die Regeln werden für neue Spieler immer weniger interessant. Durch den Wegfall der muss man nun egal in welcher Liga immer gegen Leute mit max Decks antreten.
Das einzige was mich noch hier hält sind die Brawls und meine Verantwortungsgefühl gegenüber meiner Gilde.
Aber ein paar Dinge werde ich nun ändern.
Development of the rewards
I will no longer be tracking rewards with immediate effect. It no longer really makes sense with the new system.
For the first quarter, I can say that the rewards decreased from season to season, even though I continued to stake my SPS 100%.
With the new system, my rewards have reached the absolute minimum. I can partly compensate for the decline by switching my country from Research to SPS.
In my opinion, this is also the reason why more and more players are leaving the game.
The rewards are falling and the rules are becoming less and less interesting for new players. With the elimination of the rules, you always have to compete against people with max decks, regardless of the league.
The only thing that keeps me here are the brawls and my sense of responsibility towards my guild.
But I'm going to change a few things now.
Umgang mit dem Verfall
Am vernünftigsten wäre es wahrscheinlich sämtliche SPL Assets zu verkaufen und das Geld anderweitig anzulegen. Noch kommen hier knapp 15.000 $ zusammen.
Finanzfragen sind aber leider auch immer Emotionsfragen. Wie oben geschrieben hänge ich an meiner Gilde und den Leuten dort, auch wenn mich die Situation rund um SPL, immer passiver werden lässt.
Ich habe aber auch immer noch irgendwo die Hoffnung, dass SPL die Kurve nochmal bekommt. Ideen gab es genug. Vielleicht kommt ja sogar tatsächlich irgendwann Land 2.0 und der Wert der Assets steigt nochmal ein wenig.
Daher werde ich einen Mittelweg fahren:
Dealing with the decay
The most sensible thing to do would probably be to sell all SPL assets and invest the money elsewhere. We still have just under 15,000 dollars here.
Unfortunately, financial questions are always emotional questions. As I wrote above, I'm attached to my guild and the people there, even if the situation around SPL is making me increasingly passive.
But I still have some hope that SPL will turn the tide again. There have been enough ideas. Maybe Land 2.0 will actually come at some point and the value of the assets will rise again a little.
So I will take a middle course:
Umgang mit SPS
Ich habe im 1. Quartal bereits meine staked SPS auf 100.000 erhöht.
Ich werde kein Power Down meiner SPS vornehmen. Ich werde aber die SPS, die ich liquide erhalte (Staking Rewards und Rewards aus den LPs), nicht mehr staken, sondern in Swap.Hive tauschen, oder gemeinsam mit meinen DEC in LPs packen.
Damit kann ich Teile meiner Rewards aus dem Spiel nutzen, um z.B. meine HP zu erhöhen.
Dealing with SPS
I have already increased my staked SPS to 100,000 in the 1st quarter.
I will not power down my SPS. However, I will no longer stake the SPS that I receive in liquid form (staking rewards and rewards from the LPs), but swap them into Swap.Hive or put them into LPs together with my DEC.
This allows me to use some of my rewards from the game to increase my HP, for example.
Deck Entwicklung
Ich habe im Januar und Februar noch vereinzelt Rebellion Karten gekauft.
Auf das Halving Event habe ich aber verzichtet. Das war eine gute Entscheidung. Ich könnte den Baron nun für ca. die Hälfte der Kosten während des Events kaufen.
Als erstes habe ich nun die Karten verkauft, die auf meinem Rentalaccount einfach nur rumlagen, ohne dort vermietet werden zu können.
Noch lasse ich meinen Zweitaccount laufen. Da ich mit ihm inzwischen auch wieder im Brawl spiele, ist das auch nicht ganz unlukrativ.
Für meinen Hauptaccount tracke ich nun alle zwei Tage, welche Karten gespielt wurden und welche nicht. Alle Karten, die über einen gewissen Zeitraum nicht oder kaum gespielt werden, werden verkauft. Das können auch Rebellionkarten sein. Die machen ohnehin inzwischen etwa die Hälfte meines gesamten Kartenwertes aus.
Hier bin ich noch etwas zurückhaltend, wegen des laufenden Airdrops. Allerdings wird der Wert der Karten sicherlich sehr schnell sinken, wenn der Airdrop der Summoner durch ist, da nur dieser gerade diese absurd hohen Preise für die Rebellion Goldfoils "rechtfertigt".
Deck development
I bought a few more Rebellion cards in January and February.
However, I decided to forgo the Halving Event. That was a good decision. I could now buy the Baron for about half the cost during the event.
The first thing I did was sell the cards that were just lying around on my rental account without being able to be rented out there.
I'm still running my second account. Since I'm now playing Brawl with it again, it's not entirely unprofitable.
For my main account, I now track which cards have been played and which haven't every two days. All cards that are not or hardly ever played over a certain period of time are sold. These can also be rebellion cards. They now make up about half of my total card value anyway.
I'm still a bit cautious here because of the ongoing airdrop. However, the value of the cards will certainly fall very quickly once the Summoner airdrop is over, as this is the only thing that "justifies" these absurdly high prices for the Rebellion Goldfoils.
Mein Land
Meinen Getreidespeicher habe ich auf über 300.000 Einheiten gefüllt.
Ich habe 10.700 Research Punkte angesammelt und dann zwei Plots auf SPS umgestellt. Diese erzeugen nun jeden Tag 28 staked SPS.
Im Mai soll nun der DEC:Grain Pool kommen. Auf dem Testserver bekam man für 1 Grain 0,875 DEC. Das entspräche dem Ingame Kaufpreis. Wenn das so kommt, wird der DEC Pool sehr schnell geleert sein und zu dem Preis wird keiner den Pool füllen. Ich bin gespannt, mit welchem Verhältnis SPL die Anfangsliquidität bereitstellen wird.
Je nachdem kann ich hier einen Teil des Getreides, welches ich habe, nochmal zu ein paar DEC machen.
Der Preis für Land ist extrem eingebrochen. Es macht keinen Sinn hier jetzt zu verkaufen. Land ist das Asset, bei dem ich tatsächlich bereit wäre nochmals nachzukaufen, wenn sich eine gute Gelegenheit bietet. Magic Land ist grade sehr günstig im Vergleich zu vor wenigen Monaten.
My land
I have filled my grain store to over 300,000 units.
I accumulated 10,700 research points and then converted two plots to SPS. These now generate 28 staked SPS every day.
The DEC:Grain Pool is due to arrive in May. On the test server you got 0.875 DEC for 1 grain. This would correspond to the in-game purchase price. If that happens, the DEC pool will be emptied very quickly and nobody will fill the pool at that price. I'm curious to see what ratio SPL will use to provide the initial liquidity.
Depending on this, I can turn some of the grain I have into a few more DEC.
The price of land has plummeted. It makes no sense to sell here now. Land is the asset where I would actually be prepared to buy again if a good opportunity presents itself. Magic Land is currently very cheap compared to a few months ago.
Letzte Worte
Trotz der katastrophalen Entwicklung der SPL Assets bleibe ich dem Spiel entgegen jeder Vernunft treu.
Es fließt aber kein neues Geld mehr hinein und die Teile, die nur rumliegen, werden versilbert werden.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist aus meiner Sicht noch, dass wir als Legendary Raptors ab dem nächstne Brawl wieder in Tier 5 spielen werden.
Bei den Brawls hat SPL aus meiner sicht auf die richtigen Stimmen der Community gehört und gute Änderungen vorgenommen. Es lohnt sich jetzt umso mehr in höheren Tiers zu spielen. Selbst wenn wir unter den letzten im Brawl landen, sollten wir mehr SPS erhalten als zuvor.
Bisher haben wir das nicht gemacht, weil wir noch die Crowns für die L9 Baracks sammeln wollten. Nun haben wir mehr als genug Crowns aber es fehlen uns die GP. So gesehen hält uns nichts mehr in T4.
Wir haben daher noch den ein oder anderen Platz offen. Falls Interesse besteht kommt doch einfach auf unseren Discord. Deutschkenntnisse sind erfreulich aber kein muss. Wir haben mehrere englischsprachige Spieler in unseren Reihen.

Last words
Despite the catastrophic development of SPL assets, I remain loyal to the game against all reason.
But no more new money will flow into it and the parts that are just lying around will be silvered.
From my point of view, it is particularly worth mentioning that we as Legendary Raptors will be playing in Tier 5 again from the next Brawl.
In my opinion, SPL has listened to the right voices in the community and made good changes to the Brawls. It is now even more worthwhile to play in higher tiers. Even if we end up among the last in the Brawl, we should get more SPS than before.
We didn't do this before because we wanted to collect the Crowns for the L9 Baracks. Now we have more than enough Crowns but we lack the GP. From that point of view, nothing is keeping us in T4.
So we still have one or two places open. If you are interested, just come to our Discord. Knowledge of German is welcome but not a must. We have several English-speaking players in our ranks.
