(DE/EN) My Road to Riftwatchers - # 4 Whale for a day - Buying 6900 packs
Intro
Was war das gestern für ein Tag für Splinterlands.
500k Riftwatcher Packs in unter 2 Minuten ausverkauft. Insgesamt mehr als 600k verkauft.
Dazu gingen noch 1.300 LICENSE Nodes über den Tresen. Tranche 1 ausverkauft.
Ich habe auch einen Teil der 500k aus dem PreSale ergattern können. Mein Kauf wurde dann aber doch etwas größer als ursprünglich geplant.
Die Hoffnung zusammen mit ein paar Kollegen die 2.000 Packs zu kaufen, um 20 % Bonus zu erhalten wurde leicht übertroffen.
Am Ende hat mir meine Gilde so viel Vertrauen ausgesprochen, dass ich insgesamt 6.900 Packs im Wert von über 30.000 $ kaufen konnte.

Intro
What a day it was for Splinterlands yesterday.
500k Riftwatcher Packs sold out in under 2 minutes. In total more than 600k sold.
In addition 1.300 LICENSE Nodes went over the counter. Tranche 1 sold out.
I also got a part of the 500k from the PreSale. My purchase was a bit bigger than originally planned.
The hope to buy the 2,000 packs together with some colleagues to get 20% bonus was easily exceeded.
In the end, my guild trusted me enough to buy a total of 6,900 packs worth over $30,000.

Der Weg zur Sammelbestellung
Nach dem Townhall am 06.09. kam langsam auch etwas Bewegung in die Legendary Dragons was Riftwatchers angeht.
Während am Anfang noch viele sagten, dass sie definitiv keine RW Packs sondern maximal Einzelkarten kaufen würden, hatte sich dies nach der Veröffentlichung der Promokarte erledigt.
Einen Discord-Kanal für die Koordination hatten wir bereits aufgelegt, aber jetzt verirrten sich auch mehr und mehr Spieler mit hinein.
Am Anfang waren dies eher kleinere "Fische" die nur so 50 Packs kaufen wollten, um eine Promokarte zu erhalten. Stück für Stück zogen wir aber auch noch mehr an.
Je näher wir dem PreSale kamen, umso mehr haben sich beteiligt.
Am Ende haben sich inklusive mir 29 Spieler am Sammelkauf beteiligt und wir haben insgesamt 6900 Packs erworben. Der kleinste Kauf beträgt 6 Packs der Größte 1070.
The way to the collective order
After the Townhall on 06.09. slowly some movement came into the Legendary Dragons concerning Riftwatchers.
While in the beginning many people said that they definitely wouldn't buy RW Packs but single cards at most, this was settled after the release of the promo card.
We had already set up a Discord channel for coordination, but now more and more players were getting involved.
In the beginning these were rather small "fish" who only wanted to buy 50 packs to get a promo card. But bit by bit we attracted even more.
The closer we got to the PreSale, the more participated.
In the end, including me, 29 players participated in the collective purchase and we acquired 6900 packs in total. The smallest purchase is 6 packs the largest 1070.
Die Tage vor dem Sale
Dabei waren die Tage vor dem Sale durchaus aufreibend.
Zwar entwickelte sich der SPS Preis überwiegend in die richtige Richtung, aber nach dem Townhall am Montag viel der Preis für Voucher unerwartet stark.
Wir hatten eigentlich mit einem Anstieg auf deutlich über 1 $ gewartet, aber dann waren Voucher teilweise unter 0,6 $ wert.
Mich hat das dazu bewegt meine Voucher am Ende nicht gegen SPS zu tauschen, sondern doch nochmal frisches Geld und HBD von meinem Zweitkonto einzubringen.
Ich gehe fest davon aus, dass spätestens mit bzw. nach dem General Sale der Preis für Voucher steigen wird, da ein großer Anteil vom Markt genommen wurde.
Außerdem schmierten 2 Tage vor dem Sale sämtliche Kryptos ab. Wäre dies am Donnerstag geschehen, wäre das eine Katastrophe gewesen.
Um nicht wieder von zu starken Kursbewegungen überrascht zu werden, habe ich dieses Mal nicht bereits lange zuvor mein Geld in SPS getauscht und allein auf bessere Kurse gehofft, sondern dies Stück für Stück getan.
Täglich habe ich meine Pools ein wenig reduziert und Hive in SPS gewandelt. Erst kurz vor Schluss habe ich die letzten 500 € in SPS gewandelt.
Natürlich wäre es diesmal besser gewesen, am Anfang alle Voucher in Hive zu tauschen und dies dann direkt in SPS. So hätte man das Beste rausgeholt, da der Voucher Preis fiel und die SPS ordentlich stiegen.
Mit meinem Schrittweisen Ansatz war ich aber sehr zufrieden und ich hatte keinerlei Sorge nicht genügend Packs kaufen zu können.
Nach jetzigem Stand sind es bei mir 555 Packs geworden. Ursprünglich hatte ich mit 350 - 400 gerechnet.
Durch den starken Anstieg der SPS und die niedrigeren Voucherkosten konnte ich jedoch mehr kaufen.
Damit habe ich mindestens 11 BCX der Promokarte sicher und sie damit auf jeden Fall auf Max Level.
The days before the sale
The days leading up to the sale were quite grueling.
Although the SPS price developed mostly in the right direction, after the Townhall on Monday the price for vouchers dropped unexpectedly.
We had actually been waiting for an increase to well over $1, but then vouchers were worth less than $0.6 at times.
This made me decide not to exchange my vouchers for SPS in the end, but to bring in fresh money and HBD from my second account.
I firmly believe that at the latest with or after the General Sale the price for vouchers will rise, since a large portion was taken off the market.
Also, 2 days before the Sale, all cryptos were smearing. If this had happened on Thursday, it would have been a disaster.
In order not to be surprised by too strong price movements again, this time I didn't exchange my money into SPS long before and hoped for better prices alone, but did it bit by bit.
Every day I reduced my pools a little bit and converted Hive into SPS. Only shortly before the end I converted the last 500 € into SPS.
Of course, this time it would have been better to exchange all vouchers into Hive at the beginning and this then directly into SPS. This way I would have gotten the best out of it, because the voucher price dropped and the SPS increased.
But I was very happy with my step-by-step approach and I had no worries about not being able to buy enough packs.
According to the current status, I have 555 packs. Originally I had counted on 350 - 400.
But due to the strong increase of the SPS and the lower voucher costs I was able to buy more.
With this I have at least 11 BCX of the promo card secure and therefore definitely on Max Level.
Wal für einen Tag
Durch die Sammelbestellung konnte ich mich einen Tag mal als richtiger Wal fühlen.
Mit 6900 Vouchern war ich unter den Top 100 der Richlist.
Die 390.000 SPS brachten mich sogar kurzfristig auf Platz 36 der SPS Richtlist.
War schon cool, den eigenen Namen dort zu lesen. Man könnte sich fast daran gewöhnen.
Jetzt sieht es natürlich wieder anders aus, wobei @kheldar1982a als ich zuletzt geschaut hatte zumindest bei RIFT Platz 6 eingenommen hatte.
Whale for a day
Through the collective order I could feel like a real whale for one day.
With 6900 vouchers I was among the top 100 of the Richlist.
The 390.000 SPS brought me even short term on place 36 of the SPS Richlist.
It was cool to read your own name there. One could almost get used to it.
Now it looks of course again differently, whereby @kheldar1982a when I had looked last at least with RIFT place 6 had taken.
Hohe Kosten
Natürlich blieb der Kauf von 555 Packs für mein Portfolio nicht ohne Folgen.
Bis auf den HIQS:BEE, sowie den Swap.Hive:WOO Pool, habe ich keine nennenswerten Assets mehr in LPs. Selbst meinen Swap.HBD:BEE Pool habe ich aufgelöst.
Somit erhalte ich nun auch keine liquiden SPS oder DEC mehr aus den Pools.
Was mir noch bleibt sind ca. 300k DEC, von denen ich knapp 225k demnächst in Potions investieren werde, um auf den 27.09. und das Öffnen der Riftwatchers Packs vorbereitet zu sein.
Ich habe noch etwa 90 Voucher und bekomme nun nur noch 4 pro Tag durch meine LICENSE hinzu. Dafür gibt es aber nun auch ca. 20 SPS pro Tag.
Ich bin mir noch nicht sicher, ob ich die LICENSE weiter behalten, oder sie abstoßen soll.
Fürs Behalten spricht, der tägliche Zufluss an SPS und Voucher, wovon ich zumindest die Voucher auch jederzeit zu Geld machen könnte.
Fürs Verkaufen spricht, dass ich die Node später eigentlich nicht betreiben möchte. Auch wird die LICENSE nach dem Ausverkauf von Tranche 1 teurer gehandelt, da jede neue LICENSE nun 2.500 $ in SPS und 500 Voucher kostet.
Ich werde die LICENSE wohl erstmal noch behalten, und über einen Verkauf nachdenken, wenn entweder der Ertrag weiter sinkt, oder es notwendig wird, die LICENSE tatsächlich zu betreiben.
High cost
Of course, the purchase of 555 Packs was not without consequences for my portfolio.
Except for the HIQS:BEE, as well as the Swap.Hive:WOO pool, I have no significant assets in LPs anymore. Even my Swap.HBD:BEE pool I have dissolved.
So now I don't receive any liquid SPS or DEC from the pools anymore.
What I have left is about 300k DEC, of which I will invest about 225k in Potions soon, to be prepared for the 27.09. and the opening of the Riftwatchers Packs.
I still have about 90 vouchers and now only get 4 per day added by my LICENSE. But in return there are now also about 20 SPS per day.
I am not sure yet if I should keep the LICENSE or get rid of it.
In favor of keeping it is the daily inflow of SPS and vouchers, of which I could at least turn the vouchers into money at any time.
For selling speaks that I do not want to operate the node later. Also, the LICENSE will be more expensive after selling out tranche 1, since each new LICENSE now costs $2,500 in SPS and 500 vouchers.
I will probably keep the LICENSE for now, and think about selling it when either the yield drops further, or it becomes necessary to actually operate the LICENSE.
Wie geht es weiter?
Die Sammelbestellung im PreSale ist abgeschlossen.
Die übrigen SPS habe ich bereits an alle Käufer zurückgesendet.
Die Tage werde ich auch die RIFTs verschicken, aber heute bin ich einfach zu müde.
Jetzt bleibt uns erstmal nichts weiter übrig als auf den 27.09. zu warten, unsere Packs zu öffnen und uns an den neuen Karten zu erfreuen.
Ganz besonders freuen wir uns natürlich auf die Vergabe der Airdropkarten.
Die Promo sollte ja bereits am 27.09. gedroppt werden. Auch bin ich gespannt auf die Bedingungen für die weiteren Airdrops.
Meine Schätzung ist 150 Packs pro BCX für die erste und dann 25 - 50 mehr pro Drop. Aber das ist nur geschätzt und nicht irgendwie mathematisch hergeleitet.
Falls jemand Interesse an Gold Foil Karten hat, gerne schonmal melden. Wir werden mindestens 3 BCX GF der Promokarte zu verkaufen haben.
Ein Preis von 1.000 $ könnte am Anfang erreichbar sein. Was denkt ihr?

What happens next?
The collective order in the PreSale is finished.
I have already sent back the remaining SPS to all buyers.
The days I will also send the RIFTs, but today I'm just too tired.
Now there is nothing left for us but to wait for the 27.09., open our packs and enjoy the new cards.
Of course, we are especially looking forward to the awarding of the airdrop cards.
The promo should be dropped on 27.09. already. I am also curious about the conditions for the other airdrops.
My estimate is 150 packs per BCX for the first one and then 25 - 50 more per drop. But that's just an estimate and not somehow mathematically derived.
If anyone is interested in Gold Foil cards, feel free to let me know already. We will have at least 3 BCX GF of the promo card for sale.
A price of $1,000 might be achievable at the beginning. What do you think?

Sobald der Betrieb der Nodes startet, stoppen die passiven SPS & Voucher Drops, oder wie? Bin am überlegen bei den Lizenzen zuzuschlagen, aber zu diesem Detail finde ich leider keine Info. Möglicherweise kannst du mir da weiterhelfen.
Es werdem die gleichen Rewards ausgeschpttet. Ab dann muss aber eben eine Node betrieben werden. Das v
bedeutet zumindest einen gewissen Aufwand und in Deutschland müsste man wohl ein Gewerbe anmelden.
Mist, das habe ich befürchtet. Das wäre ja auch zu schön gewesen. Ob ich eine Node betreiben würde, wäre eine ganz andere Fragestellung. Aktuell sehe ich mich da eher nicht.
