Intro
Rebellion ist planmäßig am 05.12.2023 gestartet, zog in Modern ein und verdrängte Untamed und Dice.
Die ersten beiden Artikel in denen ich mir den Fire und Death Splinter angeschaut habe, sind nur vor dem Go-Life erschienen.
Jetzt wird es Zeit mit den verbleibenden Splintern fortzufahren. Heute schauen wir auf Water, der mit den neuen Karten sicher weiterhin zu den stärksten Splintern gehören wird.
@wolfigangle hat sich die Mühe gemacht, sämtliche Werte der neuen Karten aus dem Mav Server in einem Post zu kopieren. Eine perfekte Übersicht.
Nach Rücksprache mit ihm, kann ich die Bilder verwenden. Sie sind also nicht mein Verdienst.

Intro
Rebellion launched as scheduled on 12/05/2023, moving into Modern and displacing Untamed and Dice.
The first two articles in which I looked at the Fire and Death Splinter only appeared before the Go-Life.
Now it's time to continue with the remaining splinters. Today we're looking at Water, who will certainly continue to be one of the strongest splinters with the new cards.
@wolfigangle has taken the trouble to copy all the values of the new cards from the Mav server into one post. A perfect overview.
After consultation with him, I can use the pictures. So I can't take credit for them.

Eine Rebellion aus der Tiefe
In diesem Artikel schauen wir uns die Rebellion Karten des Water Splinters genauer an.
Water ist spätestens seit CL einer der stärksten Splinter. Kelya und Possibilus geben als Beschwörer ein gutes Fundament und Monster wie Deeplurker, Diemon Shark, Meerdali Guardian oder Baakjira sind einfach Pflicht in jedem starken Set.
Gerade letztere werden durch die verbesserte Weapon Training Fähigkeit noch stärker.
Welche Karten dieses Mal zu den Must Haves gehören, und ob Prophet Rosa die Reihe der starken blauen Beschwörer fortsetzt schauen wir uns jetzt nach einander an.
A rebellion from the depths
In this article, we take a closer look at the Water Splinter's Rebellion cards.
Water has been one of the strongest splinters since CL at the latest. Kelya and Possibilus provide a good foundation as Summoners and monsters like Deeplurker, Diemon Shark, Meerdali Guardian or Baakjira are simply a must in any strong set.
The latter in particular are made even stronger by the improved Weapon Training ability.
Let's take a look at which cards are among the must-haves this time and whether Prophet Rosa will continue the series of strong blue summoners.
Common
Common
Chaos Rear Guard
Die Karte ist einfach geradeaus. Ein langsamer Tank mit vielen Lebenspunkten und Rüstung für nur 4 Mana.
Seine Shield Fähigkeit unterstützt ihn zusätzlich vor allem in "Lost Magic" oder "Up close and Personal" matches. Auch bei "Super Sneak" ist er eine Option.
Nachteil sind seine geringe Geschwindigkeit und der Schaden, der erst auf Level 10 eine 2 erhält. Darüber hinaus ist er sehr anfällig für Shatter.
Der Rear Guard hat sicher seine Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Wenn ihr ein begrenztes Budget habt, und bereits über den Cruel Sethropod verfügt, könnt ihr ihn jedoch hinten anstellen.
Chaos Rear Guard
The card is just straight forward. A slow tank with lots of health and armor for only 4 mana.
His shield ability supports him especially in "Lost Magic" or "Up close and Personal" matches. In "Super Sneak" he is an option as well.
The disadvantages are his low speed and damage, which only gets a 2 at level 10. He is also very susceptible to Shatter.
The Rear Guard certainly has its uses. However, if you have a limited budget and already have the Cruel Sethropod, you can buy him later.
Daigendark Surveyor
Mit bis zu 9 Lebenspunkten für nur 2 Mana ist die Surveyor eine sehr starke Karte.
Ihre Magic-Reflect Fähigkeit und Slow geben dem Gegner darüber hinaus einiges zu denken.
Auf Position 1 gibt es mit Baakjira und Kulu sicherlich bessere Alternativen, aber direkt vor Daarg Deadblast wird sie sau stark. Vielleicht ja auch noch mit einem Kulu davor für insgesamt dann 6 Schaden.
der Stun auf Level 10 macht diese Karte einfach noch stärker. Aus meiner Sicht ein Must Have aus dem Rebellion Set.
Daigendark Surveyor
With up to 9 life points for only 2 mana, the Surveyor is a very strong card.
Its Magic Reflect ability and Slow also give your opponent a lot to think about.
In position 1 there are certainly better alternatives with Baakjira and Kulu, but right in front of Daarg Deadblast she gets really strong. Maybe even with a Kulu in front of it for a total of 6 damage.
The stun at level 10 simply makes this card even stronger. In my opinion a must have from the Rebellion set.
Mar toren Seeker
Den Mar Toren Seeker habe ich bisher kaum eingesetzt.
Mit seinen relativ vielen Lebenspunkten kombiniert mit hoher Geschwindigkeit, Dodge und Phase sieht er jedoch wie ein passabler Sneak Schutz aus.
Seine zwei Nachteile, die mich bisher haben Abstand nehmen lassen, sind der mit 2 recht geringe Schaden sowie die Snipe Fähigkeit, die wenn nicht mit anderen Snipern kombiniert, den Schaden zu weit aufteilt.
Eventuell etwas für Snipe bzw. Blast Rulesets.
Aus meiner Sicht kein Must Have aber eine gute Ergänzungskarte.
Mar toren Seeker
I've hardly used the Mar Toren Seeker so far.
However, with his relatively high health combined with high speed, dodge and phase, he looks like a passable sneak guard.
His two disadvantages that have made me refrain from using him so far are the rather low damage of 2 and the Snipe ability, which, if not combined with other Snipers, splits the damage too widely.
Maybe something for snipe or blast rulesets.
Not a must-have from my point of view, but a good supplementary card.
Sultry Barmaid
5 Mana Monster werden eher selten eingesetzt. Entweder es ist nicht genügend Mana vorhanden, oder es gibt bessere Alternativen. Igor ist zwar deutlich langsamer und zerbrechlicher als die Barmaid, aber mit nur 2 Mana deutlich einfacher in eine Formation zu packen.
Die Ambush Fähigkeit gibt der Barmaid bereits in Runde 0 die Möglichkeit ein gegnerisches Monster zu stunnen. Damit kann es gut sein, dass der gegnerische Tank überhaupt nicht zum Zuge kommt, oder sich heilen kann.
Viel eingesetzt habe ich sie noch nicht. aus meiner Sicht ist sie auch eher eine Ergänzungkarte für spezielle Situationen.
Sultry Barmaid
5 mana monsters are rarely used. Either there is not enough mana available, or there are better alternatives. Igor is much slower and more fragile than the Barmaid, but with only 2 mana it is much easier to pack him into a formation.
The Ambush ability gives the Barmaid the opportunity to stun an opponent's monster as early as turn 0. This may well mean that the opposing tank doesn't get a chance at all, or can heal itself.
I haven't used it much yet. In my opinion, it's more of a supplementary card for special situations.
Zeddica
Zeddica ist von Anfang an die am meisten nachgefragteste der Dual Summoner Karten. Derzeit gibt es keine 200 BCX zu kaufen. Gerade einmal eine halbe Max Karte.
Das liegt sicherlich daran, dass beide Splinter sehr gute Einzelkarten zur Verfügung stellen.
Gerade wenn nur einzelne Angriffsarten verfügbar sind, gibt es hier interessante Synergien.
Benutzt habe ich bisher die Dual Summoner aber nur bei wirklich sehr niedrigem Mana Vorrat oder Silenced Summoner.
Ob sie ihr Geld in der Breite wert sind, wird sich noch zeigen. Gerade in engen Brawls oder Turnieren mit vielen starken Spielern bieten die Multicolor Summoner aber einen taktischen Vorteil.
Zeddica
Zeddica has been the most sought after of the Dual Summoner cards from the beginning. There are currently no 200 BCX to buy. Just half a Max card.
This is certainly due to the fact that both Splinters provide very good single cards.
Especially when only single attack types are available, there are interesting synergies here.
So far, I've only used the Dual Summoner with a really low mana supply or Silenced Summoner.
Whether they are worth the money across the board remains to be seen. Especially in close brawls or tournaments with many strong players, the multicolor summoners offer a tactical advantage.

Anasth Soothsayer
Nur einen Magieschaden bei 6 Mana ist sehr wenig.
Kompensiert wird dies durch eine gute Geschwindigkeit ausreichend Lebenspunkte und bis zu 5 Fähigkeiten.
Cleanse und Tank Heal sind zwei Fähigkeiten, die man so eher selten bei einem Monster findet. Ein Agor auf #1 freut sich hierüber sicher sehr.
Zusätzlich hebt sie Martyr, oder Bloodlust Buffs beim Gegner auf, hilft die eigenen Monster gegen Sneak, Snipe und Opportunity zu schützen, und bietet selbst einen guten Schutz vor Sneak sollte der eigentliche Sneak Schutz auf #6 ausgeschaltet worden sein.
Der Soothsayer ist kein Must Have in jedem Battle. Aber bei Super Sneak, Equal Opportunity, Target Practice oder mit einem Taunter als Front Tank eine gute Karte.
Diese Karte sollte man sich aus meiner Sicht zulegen.
Anasth Soothsayer
Only one magic damage at 6 mana is very little.
This is compensated by good speed, sufficient health and up to 5 abilities.
Cleanse and Tank Heal are two abilities that you rarely find on a monster. An Agor on #1 will certainly be very happy about this.
In addition, it cancels Martyr, or Bloodlust buffs on the opponent, helps to protect your own monsters against Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity, and offers good protection against Sneak itself if the actual Sneak protection has been switched off at #6.
The Soothsayer is not a must-have in every battle. But with Super Sneak, Equal Opportunity, Target Practice or with a Taunter as front tank a good card.
Pirate of Eight
Pirate of Eight ist eine Karte, die ich schon häufiger eingesetzt habe.
Viele Gegner verteidigen sich nicht mehr gegen Blast Schaden, da Yodin in Modern nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Hier kann der Pirate of Eight glänzen.
Bis zu 4 Schaden, gute Geschwindigkeit und nur 4 Mana Kosten machen diese Karte flexibel einsetzbar. Nachteil sind die relativ wenigen Lebenspunkte.
Mir hat der Pirate of Eight bei "Holy Protection", "Melee Mayhem" oder "Equal Opportunity" Rulesets gute Dienste geleistet, wo ich ihn auch etwas geschützter aufstellen konnte.
Wirklich gut, wird er aus meiner sicht aber erst ab Level 5 also der Gold Liga.
Preislich liegt der Pirate noch im Mittelfeld und es sollte möglich sein, sich diese Karte zuzulegen.
Pirate of Eight
Pirate of Eight is a card I've used a lot.
Many opponents no longer defend against Blast damage because Yodin is no longer available in Modern. This is where Pirate of Eight can shine.
Up to 4 damage, good speed and only 4 mana cost make this card flexible to use. The disadvantage is the relatively low life points.
The Pirate of Eight has served me well in "Holy Protection", "Melee Mayhem" or "Equal Opportunity" rulesets, where I was able to set it up a little more protected.
In my opinion, however, he only becomes really good from level 5, i.e. the Gold League.
In terms of price, the Pirate is still in the midfield and it should be possible to buy this card.
Sea Dog of Eight
Der Sea Dog ist eine der Karten, die auch eher in speziellen Situationen zum Einsatz kommen dürfte.
Corrosive Ward ist wahrscheinlich bei Armored Up von Vorteil. Eventuell auch als eine Sneak Protection bei Super Sneak.
Heal verstärkt seine ohnehin bestehenden Fähigkeiten Schaden aufzusaugen. Als klassischer Tank gibt es aber mit dem Diemon Shark, oder Baakjira aus meiner Sicht bessere Alternativen.
Ich habe mir die wenigen fehlenden BCX für Level 6 zugekauft, aber es ist aus meiner Sicht keine Must Have Karte.
Sea Dog of Eight
The Sea Dog is one of the cards that is more likely to be used in special situations.
Corrosive Ward is probably an advantage with Armored Up. Possibly also as sneak protection for Super Sneak.
Heal boosts his existing ability to soak up damage. As a classic tank, however, there are better alternatives with the Diemon Shark or Baakjira in my opinion.
I bought the few missing BCX for level 6, but in my opinion it's not a must-have card.
Argarux Hydromagus
Magieschaden und Bloodlust sieht eigentlich gut aus.
Bei aber nur einem Schaden und dazu noch mit Scattershot dürfte Scattershot aber eher selten triggern. Auf Level 8 gibt es immerhin einen zweiten schadenspunkt.
Blau ist nicht meine erste Wahl beim "Wands Out" Ruleset. Sollte man aber dazu gezwungen sein, könnte der Hydromagus eine Option sein.
Meine Empfehlung ist es, dieses Monster unterhalb von Max Level zu ignorieren. Ich habe ihn nur auf Level 6 aufgestockt, weil ich ein komplettes Rebellion Deck auf Gold Level haben will.
Aus meiner Sicht ist der Hydromagus die schwächste Karte des Water Splinters im Rebellion Ruleset.
Argarux Hydromagus
Magic damage and Bloodlust actually looks good.
But with only one damage and Scattershot, Scattershot should trigger rather rarely. At level 8 there is at least a second point of damage.
Blue is not my first choice for the "Wands Out" ruleset. But if you are forced to, Hydromagus could be an option.
My recommendation is to ignore this monster below max level. I only bumped it up to level 6 because I want to have a complete Rebellion deck at Gold level.
In my opinion, Hydromagus is the weakest card of the Water Splinter in the Rebellion ruleset.
Prophet Rosa
Man muss kein Prophet sein, um zu sehen, dass Prophet Rosa nicht in Konkurrenz zu Kelya oder Possibilus treten kann.
Für reine Fernkampfmatches eventuell eine Option, wenn Ilthain nicht gespielt werden kann.
Eventuell auch für "Back to Basics" oder "Keep your Distance rulesets". Aber auch hier gibt es mit Immortalis für gewöhnlich eine bessere Alternative, wenn Earth verfügbar ist.
Prophet Rosa
You don't have to be a prophet to see that Prophet Rosa can't compete with Kelya or Possibilus.
Possibly an option for pure ranged matches if Ilthain cannot be played.
Possibly also for "Back to Basics" or "Keep your Distance rulesets". But here too, Immortalis is usually a better alternative if Earth is available.

Thanalorian Scion
Der Scion ist eine der letzten Karten, die ich noch nicht auf Gold Level kombiniert habe. Ich hänge sogar noch auf Level 3.
3 Magieschaden für 5 Mana ist gut. Karten mit nur einem Lebenspunkt und hoher Rüstung sind selbst mit Void Armor sehr anfällig gegen Shatter.
Gerade bei Equalizer Rulesets ist der Scion stark. Auch wenn man davon ausgeht, dass der Gegner mit Phase monstern spielen wird, hilft sein True Strike.
Selbst mit Level 3 hat mir diese Karte bereits ein Match gewonnen. Dennoch bin ich der Meinung man kann auf sie verzichten. Ich werde definitiv keine 3 $ pro BCX ausgeben, die derzeit aufgerufen werden. Der Scion ist die Karte bei der Bid und Ask mit derzeit fast 100 % Abstand am weitesten auseinanderliegen.
Thanalorian Scion
The Scion is one of the last cards I haven't combined to Gold level yet. I'm even still stuck at level 3.
3 magic damage for 5 mana is good. Cards with only one health and high armor are very vulnerable to Shatter even with Void Armor.
The Scion is especially strong in Equalizer rulesets. Even if you assume that the opponent will play with phase monsters, his True Strike helps.
Even at level 3, this card has already won me a match. Nevertheless, I think you can do without it. I'm definitely not going to spend the $3 per BCX that is currently being asked for. Scion is the card where bid and ask are currently almost 100% apart.
Captain Fellblade
Captain Fellblade ist von Anfang an die teuerste epische Karte im Rebellion Ruleset.
Mit dem Wegfall von Sand Worm und Coral Wraith sind gleich zwei beliebte Sneaker aus Modern verschwunden. Captain Fellblade versucht beide in sich zu vereinen.
Dazu kommen noch 8 Lebenspunkte, eine hohe Geschwindigkeit sowie die Stärkung der Lebenspunkte des eigenen Teams.
Oft eingesetzt habe ich den Captain bisher noch nicht. Viel gegen ihn gespielt auch nicht. Auf dem Papier sieht die Karte gut aus, wird aber wahrscheinlich hauptsächlich in High Mana Battles zur Anwendung kommen und da sind die anderen Sneaker zu günstig.
Auch wenn ich Fellblade für eine der besten Karten im Rebellion Set halte, empfehle ich Euch aufgrund der hohen Kosten vorher zu überlegen, wie und wann ihr diese Karte tatsächlich einsetzen wollt, bevor ihr das Geld investiert.
Captain Fellblade
Captain Fellblade is the most expensive epic card in the Rebellion ruleset right from the start.
With the removal of Sand Worm and Coral Wraith, two popular sneakers have disappeared from Modern. Captain Fellblade tries to combine both of them.
It also has 8 health, high speed and boosts the health of your own team.
I haven't used the Captain much yet. Nor have I played much against him. The card looks good on paper, but will probably be used mainly in high mana battles, where the other sneakers are too cheap.
Even though I think Fellblade is one of the best cards in the Rebellion set, due to its high cost I recommend you think about how and when you actually want to use this card before you invest the money.

Endura Brune
Diese Karte ist wie gemacht für "Keep your Distance" Rulesets.
Ab der Gold Liga reduziert sie den gegnerischen Schaden gleich für Magie- und Fernkampfschaden. Dazu noch Amplify und Swiftness.
Ihre nur 2 Schaden lassen sich mit Prophet Rosa steigern, ohne Angst vor Forcefield haben zu müssen.
Aber auch in einem Water / Death Deck freuen sich Queen of Crowns und Djinn Muirat über das Amplify.
Eine Frau für gewisse Stunden. Dann macht sie ihre Arbeit aber ausgezeichnet. für unter 7 $ pro BCX derzeit ein Schnäppchen. Eine Kaufempfehlung von mir.
Endura Brune
This card is perfect for "Keep your Distance" rulesets.
From Gold League onwards, it reduces the opponent's damage for magic and ranged damage. Plus Amplify and Swiftness.
Her only 2 damage can be increased with Prophet Rosa without having to worry about Forcefield.
But Queen of Crowns and Djinn Muirat are also happy about Amplify in a Water / Death deck.
A woman for certain hours. But then she does her job excellently. Currently a bargain at under 7 $ per BCX. A purchase recommendation from me.
Daarg Deadblast
Daarg war die legendäre Karte, die ich am wenigsten gezogen hatte.
Da ich in Brawls und derzeit im Ranked nur bis Gold Level spiele, habe ich Daarg zuerst auch etwas unterschätzt.
Seine Kombination aus Magieschaden, Weapon Trainer, Swiftness, Triage und Dodge machen ihn jedoch aus meiner Sicht zur besten Nicht-Dragon, Nicht Promokarte im Rebellion Set.
Kombiniert ihn mit Meerdali Guardian, einem weiteren Trainees und einer Wavebrood auf #6 und seht euren Gegner verzweifeln.
Daarg wird sicherlich eine der Karten die ich auf Max Level ausbauen werde.
Daarg Deadblast
Daarg was the legendary card I drew the least.
Since I only play up to Gold level in Brawls and currently in Ranked, I also underestimated Daarg a bit at first.
However, his combination of Magic Damage, Weapon Trainer, Swiftness, Triage and Dodge make him the best non-Dragon, non-Promo card in the Rebellion set in my opinion.
Combine him with Meerdali Guardian, another Trainee and a Wavebrood at #6 and watch your opponent despair.
Daarg will surely be one of the cards I will level to the max.
Bin ich nicht etwas spät?
Eigentlich wollte ich meine Artikel ja noch vor dem 05.12. veröffentlichen. Inzwischen bin ich aber froh es nicht getan zu haben.
Ich kann nun meine Erfahrungen mit den Karten einfließen lassen, und muss mich nicht auf die blanken Werte verlassen.
Das ein oder andere Urteil hat sich dadurch geändert.
Auch haben viele noch gar nicht begonnen, sich mit Rebellion einzudecken. Vielleicht kann mein Artikel hier helfen.
Im nächsten Teil der Serie wird es dann um den Life Splinter gehen.

Aren't I a bit late?
I actually wanted to publish my articles before December 5th. But in the meantime I'm glad I didn't.
I can now incorporate my experiences with the cards and don't have to rely on the bare values.
One or two judgments have changed as a result.
Also, many have not even started to stock up on Rebellion. Perhaps my article can help here.
The next part of the series will be about the Life Splinter.
