Green Chickpea Paratha recipe.

Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you're all doing well. Today, I'm sharing a quick and easy recipe with you for green chickpea parathas. These are loved by kids and adults alike.

During winters, fresh green chickpeas are readily available in the market. The taste of any recipe enhances when it includes fresh and seasonal vegetables. Most of the time, I've made stuffed parathas with green peas for breakfast, but this time I attempted to make parathas with green chickpeas using the same technique.

So, let's learn how to make them. For this, I'll need the following ingredients.

Ingredients:

  1. Green chickpeas: 200 grams
  2. Corn flour (makke ka atta): 1 cup
  3. Wheat flour (gehun ka atta): 1 cup
  4. Salt: to taste
  5. Fresh coriander and green chilies
  6. Carom seeds (ajwain): 1/2 teaspoon

Method:

Firstly, we need to crush the chickpeas until they are broken into two pieces, we don't need to make a paste, we just need to keep them coarse.

Heat a pan and add crushed chickpeas to it, roast for two minutes, and then remove them from the pan.

Now, let's prepare the dough. Firstly, mix corn flour and wheat flour.

Then add crushed chickpeas, chopped coriander, chopped green chilies, salt, carom seeds, and mix everything well into the dough.

Now, heat a griddle and take a portion of the dough, roll it into a ball, and flatten it into a disc using your palms. Then place it on the griddle and cook until both sides turn golden brown, using oil or ghee as required.

Your chickpea paratha is ready! You can enjoy it with potato-tomato curry, tomato ketchup, or pickle.

I am surprised by the number of paratha recipes that exist. Without a doubt, this preparation must be the equivalent of the Venezuelan arepa, as there are also various ways to prepare them. This one looks tasty, especially with that curry on the side. Greetings @khushboo108
