SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: I WON MY FIRST BATTLE IN BRONZE III

avatar

So I decided I'm going to join this week's social media challenge, I don't know why I'm super excited about it, perhaps it's because of the win I had after suffering several losses. To be honest I really needed that win as a form of motivation to continue. I discovered all my opponents had rented cards while I was still on… you know what I mean 🙂. Anyway it felt good to finally win something after several losses. In fact it made my day. Although I'm still a novice, I think I'm beginning to get a hang of it little by little. At first I was only using random cards, I didn't even know why I chose those cards and that was obviously the number 1 reason I was getting my ass whooped back to back.

But for the battle I won, it didn't just happen, I had to learn a few tricks when I played with a friend and he directed me on some cards to use and why to use them. I also got to learn how to place those cards with time. For every battle I rearranged my cards, changed a few monsters until I got the formation that gave me victory. I would really love to know more about these cards, but I think what I need more are friends that are willing to show me how they play. I learn faster from watching others. Truth be told, I sleep off trying to read and understand the spell book, I understand better when someone says so, avoid this, don't do this, and most of all this is why you should or shouldn't do this. That way I get to understand better lol. Don't blame me, I'm a lazy learner.

Now to the battle proper. I choose Kelya Frendul as my Summoner, and then chose Deeplurker monster as my Frontline monster. Since the manner was small, I could only use my preferred three. From what I've come to understand so far, I choose Deeplurker because it's naturally a Frontline monster and its ability to easily damage shields. Thereafter, I picked merdaali guardian because of her healing abilities and her speed. Her abilities came in handy especially because all my cards had speed which ensured the first attack. I put slutry barmaid last because of her ambush ability. My opponent's cards couldn't stand a chance. I guess my opponent was also a novice like me, all the same, winning never felt better😂.

My opponents cards

My opponent used mycelic morphoid as the first card, and followed up with Regal preyton which I think was the strongest card there. My opponent followed it up with creeping ooze and vernary spellsmith and chaos agent, so I guess I got lucky lol. But like I said again a win is a win. I just need to get better, and I know I will get better with time. If you are interested in playing splinterlands, I can show you how I got started at it's not hard at all, you will need to register here and tag me in comments to show you the basics I've come to understand so far.
