Sturdy Axe Warden: How the Dwarf changes the fate of the match without any special abilities.

Hello @splinterlands community's friends. How are you all? I hope you are doing well. Choosing the right backline attacker is crucial to winning high-mana matches in Splinterlands Battlegrounds, and that's where Sturdy Axe Warden comes in. Today I'll be discussing this card. It may seem like a simple 8-mana Dwarf card, but it's a unique example of how a perfect ruleset and pure ranged attack power can destroy your opponent's defenses without any fancy abilities. Let's discuss it.

Today I will share some secret analysis about Sturdy Axe Warden, a neutral or common fire type Dwarf card of the Fire element of Splinterlands with an 8 mana cost. I hope my analysis will change your perspective on the gameplay. Apparently, this card with an 8 mana cost enters the battlefield with Ranged Attack 2, Speed 2, Armor 0 and Health 4 at level 1 and since it does not have any special abilities at the first level, many veteran gamers mistakenly avoid it, thinking it is a simple backline attacker with heavy mana. But there is a real technical secret. In its upgrade scaling and ruleset mechanics. Many people do not know this. First of all, despite this card being a Ranged Attacker, its attack power increases rapidly.
When it reaches level 4 and the maximum level 5, its Ranged Attack increases directly to 3 and it gains Speed 3 and Health 5. At first glance, it may seem like a risky card with only 5 health for 8 mana, but the surprising truth is that when it is played in the Close Range ruleset, it is able to deal devastating ranged damage of 3 power even in first position. Where normal ranged cards become completely useless in the first place. What is even more surprising is that when the Equalizer ruleset is played, its main weakness, i.e. low health, completely disappears and it turns into a huge tanking powerhouse by gaining the opponent's maximum health. Again, when Snipe or Target Practice is added to the Going the Distance or Close Range ruleset, at that time, according to computerized calculations, its high ranged damage can destroy the main magic or support cards of the opponent's backline in just two rounds.
I think it is a rare event in the history of Splinterlands to have such a big impact based on pure ranged power and ruleset synergy without relying on any extra abilities. So in high-value matches, if you can position Sturdy Axe Warden as the right backline attacker by simply understanding the game ruleset, all of your opponent's calculations will be overturned in an instant and an incredible victory will be assured.
