Lessons from Hivelearners Featured Contest

Greetings everyone! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Still in the mood of celebrating the 100th edition of the Featured Contest in the Hivelearners community this week, it's been a season of reminiscing on the good, bad, and the ugly moments. Among other things, I've learned a lot from the various contests. Reading other people's work has given me many insights and a good feeling of expressing myself without being judgedโ€”at least, no one has attacked me.

The lessons I've learned:

In all the contests I participated in and in reading other people's posts, I saw that we have our different views on any subject, and that's very correct because we are humans and we can't be the same. Moreover, I noticed one thing that piqued my interest in one of the contests, and after that particular contest, I made a rant.

Okay, we were told to write about domestic violence and our involvement. I took my time to read a handful of the entries, and throughout, I never came across any post of someone being involved in domestic violence. I had to ask, does it mean that everyone in the community is that clean? Lol
It sounds controversial, but that's the absolute truthโ€”we only put out the good side of us and find it difficult to write about our bad sides.

The achievements made:

Like I said in my previous article, this community is my go-to community. I find it very easy to tag along because they're motivating with votes.
Hey, I won't lie, I'm not among those who will say "I'm not writing for the pay." In as much as I love to express myself in writing, I get so much joy and motivation when the pay is coming. The rewards in this community, from my entries to the Featured Contest, have been so helpful to me. The accumulation of those rewards has helped in the growth of my Hive Power, and also, it has provided for me a lot. There were days I set my earning on 100% HP because I knew the upvote would come, and yeah, those days helped me climb up faster.

Mistakes made:

There was a particular time when I was adding the description of the prompt in my article in a quote. I wasn't conversant with Discord then to know that it's one of the don'ts in the Featured Contest. It lasted for a while, I was not getting any votes, and it became so shocking to me. I asked a few people, and they didn't have a clue about what could be the reason why I'm not getting votes.

A miraculous day came, I made a post and princessbusayo was the first to read. Immediately she commented, she approached me, pointing out that ever since that single error.
I changed, and everything returned back to normal. This is to tell us that paying attention to those little things matter a lot. We shouldn't neglect those things. We should get acquainted with these communities in their Discord channels and learn more about how they operate.

Thanks for reading

Sometime we tend to be judgemental even when we don't know how true others opinions can be but I'm happy you understood better. I have so much to learn though, I never knew one can actually set his earning 100HP, I'm just hearing that for the first time.

Wow!
100% earning is very good, especially when you're aiming at hitting your hp target quickly.

Thank you for stopping by

I had to ask, does it mean that everyone in the community is that clean?

If it's you, will you tell everyone your bad side? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Everyone major goal here is to earn and just like what happens in web2, most people lie about their life

Hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜…
The lie is too much.
If we are this good in our real world, the world would be a sweet place

Well the reward is very good, but what if it doesn't come all the time. For me I feel somehow not to encouraged to push on but I just encourage myself to keep pushing.
Thanks for sharing
