When A Child Is Born

Greetings everyone ๐Ÿ™Œ!

I'm among those who get to start liking a song based on the circumstances or situation in which I meet it. Oh yes, I love music so much that I can't do without it on a daily basis, but most of the songs I play often are not the common ones that people vibe with always. My music is based on my deepest personal preference, and I don't get along because people are hyping it.

The same thing goes with Christmas songs. We have a lot of them, especially the ancient common ones that are played everywhere, which helps as a reminder of the season.
For me, I only play a few of them to feel the Christmas season. Among the few, the one that stands out is WHEN A CHILD IS BORN by Boney M.

Why this song?

This song brings a lot of good emotional memories for me; it takes me back to 2018, remembering one of the best families I've met in the little years I've stayed on this earth.

Let me describe it;
When I was at home working as an accountant in my church, I had the best boss(Pastor) with a lovely, jovial wife. At that moment, they just got married without children (they were not ready yet), and this gave them the freedom to flow with every single soul in the church.
During one of the Christmas seasons, the wife gathered all the children for rehearsals for the Christmas carol.

"Brother Kingsley, come ooo! I'm looking for a particular song, and I don't know how to get it online."The wife walked up to me after she had brainstormed, searching for a particular Christmas song online.

"Okay, ma, do you know a bit of its lyrics?" I asked, and she concurred with a "yes"

"Okay, sing it," I requested, and she began...

๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽถ"A Ray of Hope flickers in the... flickers in the... ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽถ" She stammered for a while. "Ooooh! I've forgotten it."

Mehn, the voice at which she used to sing the line was heavenly. I won't lie, I fell for the voice, but she's my boss's wife. I was totally lost, looking at her, and she noticed and shouted.

"Kingsley! Will you wake up from your slumber?" That's how jovial she is; she understood that I'm a human being too.*

I typed the song on Google, and many options came up. I selected one, and boom, that's the song she's looking for. She hurriedly grabbed the phone with a loud "THANK YOU!" as she happily ran away to meet the children.

A few minutes later, I heard a chorus of children echoing the song so loudly.

Wow! How did they grab the song so fast?

That was it!

During the children's party, the song was the song of the day, and they were all singing and dancing to it.

Since that year, the song has been on my phone. It's my all-time favorite Christmas song. Playing the song gives me good memories of the days she was with us. Playing the song during Christmas makes me feel like I'm celebrating Christmas with them again.

Bad enough. I have poor spirit of keeping in touch with people. Ever since they were transferred, I haven't been active in communicating with them.

However, as I was writing this, the pressure came so hard to call them and yeah, I did.

I felt really good and fulfilled.

Thank you for a prompt like this ๐Ÿ™Œ

Memory behind the song was so amazing. We are attached with some lyrics or songs with some memory or some type of emotional attachment. These lyrics remind us of that great time.
