Two More Chaos Legion Packs And A Cost Analysis So Far

Just two more packs…That is almost the exact phrase I used last time before I bought these. Haha! Now, while my luck is usually abysmal with pack openings I keep holding out hope for the coveted GF Legendary card. Will I get one today? Well let’s find out.

Pack #1

And as expected, none are what I would call an extraordinary pull. So let's move on to the second pack for the evening.

Pack#2

Now this pack had gave me a decent pull. A Gold Pelacor Arbalest is definitely a great addition to the collection.

Cost Analysis For My Chaos Packs

So overall, I have opened a total of 14 Chaos Legion packs so far and have had a few decent pulls. I was running some numbers and it looks like the average value per pack I have received is around $8.75. On the surface, that sounds amazing because each pack cost only $4 and would net a profit of about $4.75 per pack.

In reality, the cost is much higher. It cost me $4 for the pack and around $5.25 per voucher (at current prices. So, the actual cost to me was $9.25 (not including the potions I have gained through chest rewards, but that would add an extra $0.43 per pack if I had bought them).
With a total of cost of $9.68 per pack and only getting $8.75 (at current prices), I am losing a net of $0.93 cents per pack. Now I might get extremely lucky with my next pack, but knowing my luck in the past, it will probably only get worse.

My Plan For Splinterlands And Chaos Legion

My plan going forward is to focus less on packs and more on the cards I need to make a better deck. I think this is what got me with the Untamed Set and I focused too much on packs instead of getting what I actually needed. With that being said, I will probably still buy a pack here and there just for the hope that I pull a GFL, but I am definitely going to refocus my efforts to try an build a solid silver level deck.
