Today we are going to talk about royalty, and not just any member... the Prince of Lyveria himself!

The handsome pointy-eared nobleman from faraway lands of Anumün, that Old King Wilhelm adopted as his son at the last stage of the King's life.
The kid he's always wanted to have after living all his life childless, and someone with whom to share his wisdom and continue his legacy, suddenly he turned the Prince of Lyveria, the young man was already an incredible summoner, which unleashed jealousy and mistrust among the habitants of Lyveria.

Rivers of ink have probably already been spilled talking about this summoner, but i believe old rockers never go out of fashion, and since my experience with him is rather recent, i'd like to go thru some scenarios where he can show his wonders and weaknesses.

Battle With Style

Prince Rennyn is a legendary Earth summoner from the Beta set

Because the main thing when battling is having fun and being competitive, this summoner meets the perfect conditions to both destroy your enemies before they can even get to react...and have tons of fun on that process.

As a master in the long distances, we'll be able to create special synergies with Range units to upgrade damage, undercut our opponents with fast and accurate moves, and last for longer in the Arena with extra life.
Not only will we be precise attackers but also hard to get hitten.

Range Of Use

As any other legendary card Lost legendaries ruleset will restrict it.

In my experience, we take advantage the higher the Mana rulesets.

I also want to contribute with examples of low cost Mana battles, but i'd say our decks become exponentially strong as battles go above 25 mana.
Apart of that, decks with Rennyn have a high performance on any conditions and rulesets, coming as an underdog to finish off your opponents fast and stealthy.

I come to the conclusion that Prince Rennyn has a very wide and versatile range of use when paired up with the right cards, although its use in some specific melee rulesets will be scarce...we'll be highly benefited in some others.
Always fighting from the distance and balancing your mid-game with Close Range units.

• Even with a couple non atacking units in front we can handle this battle against a full atackers Sloan's deck on Back to basics and Lost magic

• Using Venari Knifer on your rear as good counter for Sneaks works well in this battle against Tarsa in Supersneak ruleset

Budget

Buying Prince Rennyn is definitely not for all pockets

Prices oscillate around $1000 for a level 1 nft and there's only 574 regular foil circulating cards. Gold foil units are extra rare with only 45 circulating cards and not many wallets could afford to buy it, not only because of its price but because of its scarcity in the market.

Renting Prince Rennyn is a great option when you already have an Earth range deck, then will became the last piece we needed.

Renting prices go from 28 to 35 dec/day at the moment, which is quite a lot if only looking at the amount, but it gets cheap when analyzing win rates and the big amount of power it develops level 1 (1500 ).

Rennyn makes an amazing synergy with some epic cards like Beatrix Ironhand, Mitica Headhunter, Hunter Jarx or Acid Shooter, some of them are really cheap to rent or even buy, and epic cards provide us a great amount of power as well.
If you already own some of this cards ( as in my case ) then renting Prince Rennyn can be really worth it.

Units that we never would have thought become extra poweful with Rennyn, like Gargoya Devil, a Reward card we can all have on a pretty decent level.
Gargoya Devil gets boosted all its stats close to Rennin plus Flying and Close range abilities will make a massive synergy with this summoner.

We can build great decks using starter cards like Child of the Forest or Failed Summoner, using reward cards like Gargoya Devil and rescuing cards like Earth Elemental from the bag.

This, added to new epic Chaos Legion cards like Hunter Jarx and Acid Shooter give us a really affordable chance to bring competitive strategies to the Arena and add a good amount of power to our collection.

Conclusions

I'll continue renting Prince Rennyn as long as i can affort it

Playing this summoner brings winrate, new strategies and fun to my battles.

Of course there's lots of other fun and effective builds, as competitive as Rennyn's and probably easier to perform, but here's a great option for your Earth Range cards to be back on scene!
