Hi everyone!
Welcome to the Summoner's Hut!

Thank you so much for the community's warm support, honestly, i've got no words, you're amazing!

As many others, i'm on a lockdown and i won't be able to spend much time with my relatives during these days, but hey, i'll be able to spend some time with my Splinterlands family.

We've been revealed the next two airdrop cards, and some info about general sale.
Shall we take a look at those cards?

Next Airdrop cards

The long awaited airdrop cards from phase two of the pre-sale have been finally revealed. This cards are being a great unknown and beyond their stats...it's yet to test their performance, but they're looking so good...

We were able to see Dr.Blight in action on the test server before it was released, but none of this cards have been yet tested on the arena, or at least there's no gameplay we could see.

Both monsters will be legendary, and packs bought during pre-sale will qualify for both airdrop cards, anyway you'll also be able to get them on packs after they're released.
Let's check them out!

Baakjira

Look at the insane amount of life this behemoth from the deep oceans has! I was looking for the right couples to dance with Kelya and i think this has been love at first sight.

I find it hard to think about a non attack monster that offers the performance of Baakjira, i can see a good synergy with Kelya on that +1 armor added to the Slow ability this monster has...Strengthen and Void...and Heal on its max level...what else can we ask for on a non attack monster?...you'll better hit it hard...but we will be talking about hard hitting later.

Decks with the extra Heal on Merdaali Guardian or Crustacean King could be a real headache if they can't reach our backline.

It is expected that in most cases we'll see Baakjira as a beefy frontliner accompanied by monsters that can attack hard from the backline.

About the artwork...what can i say about @nateaguila and the team...the cards are real pieces of art beyond their value in-game, the tones and lines are beautiful and very pleasant to the eye. Monsters seem to blend into their surroundings...and also the card reflects its stats...hey won't attack you i'm peaceful but you won't bring me down...

Well, time will say how this behemoth from the deep oceans performs in the arena...but definitely looks very well...i dare to predict that this card will be very competitive even on lower levels.
The new Water splinter shows fewer and fewer weaknesses, not only are the new cards being amazing but they also create a lot of synergy with previous sets in my opinion.
Is on everyone's lips how strong magic decks are...well, i think Baakjira will have a lot to say about that.

Uriel The Purifier

Next new airdrop card is a +11 mana card, a Giant, which is how this huge mana monsters are called.
Light splinter gets even thicker on high mana battles!

This new winged beefy tank will be hard to reach by non flying monsters, and will be able to deliver the most critical strikes we've ever seen due to his Recharge ability, that will keep him charging for a turn to deliver an X3 damage strike next.

In some rulesets not many monsters could take a single hit from Uriel.
As it's been mentioned...if this monster allies with Inspire we could be talking about one of the most critical strikes in the game...
Can you imagine finishing off Magnor or Kraken on almost a single hit?...Uriel is capable of that, he can just erase almost any monster one hit and purify the arena.

This new airdrop card also gives extra value to cards with Giant Killer ability, and can make cards like Djinn Inferni have a special relevance.

The artwork on this card looks awesome too, and faithfully reflects the essence of this monster, a heavily armed flying creature with a majestic sword capable of the most sinister strikes. It also has all the differential elements of the Light splinter, the motion on the lines of this nft card are just amazing once again.

It looks like a great card, Light splinter was already strong on high mana battles...and this card arrives to make it even stronger.

On standard battles placement could be tricky.
Could work as a frontliner paired with a Taunt monster like Shilvershield Bearer on the backline to take the damage for him at least for a round...we need Uriel sitting on the frontline once it's ready to unleash its full potencial, however, it's a high mana card and will have more limited usage.

Between the two new airdrop cards, i'd say Uriel the Purifier has a more limited usage, but also looks amazing.

Post

I won't be linking battles today, i'd like to make variety of content and this was the hottest today.

It is very educational for me to review this content and i'm really enjoying doing the Summoner's Hut.
