How to LOCK your cards - Adding a protective layer on our SPL assets

Hackers are not new on every aspect of modern day technology. Here on splinterlands, there are multiple instances of hacking due to unprotected account and UNLOCKED CARDS. Here is the easiest way to lock our cards and add a layer of protection to our assets.

  1. Go to https://peakmonsters.com/ - then login your account

  2. After logging in, select My Cards on the upper left corner****

  3. Hover your mouse on the right side of the screen until you reach to bottom part. You must check YES on Owned

  4. After that, look on the upper left part of your screen. You will see a + (Select All), click that if you want to select all of your cards at the same time to be locked or check every single specific card that you want to be locked.

  5. After selecting the cards that you want to be locked, the total number of those selected cards will be seen on the right side of your screen. Click that and select OTHERS, then select LOCK.

  6. Finally, scroll down to the bottom of the page and type in your desired amount of days for your cards to be locked then press CONFIRM.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

  • Locked cards will not be able to be transferred, burned, or listed for sale on the market until they are unlocked.
  • Locked cards may still be used in battles or delegated/rented out as normal.
  • You may specify the number of days that these cards will take to unlock (from the time the unlock transaction is submitted) below.
  • If somehow, you changed your mind and decided to unlock your card, the unlocking process will take 1 DAY to complete: (you may also cancel the unlocking process) - *correction, if you locked your cards for 5 days, then decided to unlock the card on the second day, the unlocking duration will take 5 Days as the duration for it to be unlocked. In my case, I chose to lock my cards for 1 day and unlocked it right after to provide a screenshot for this post. :D

Thanks for sharing this safety measure. I hope that all the players lock their own cards unless they're speculating on the market, specially the high-value ones (like a gold foiled or things like that!)
