Hello everyone. Do you feel satisfied after defeating an MYLOR in the UP CLOSE & PERSONAL ruleset? I do! and I'd like to share the game and strategy I used to defeat this summoner on his home turf.

BATTLE OF THE DAY

Because this was a MELEE ONLY ruleset, I prioritized monsters with strong defensive abilities, which is why I chose DIEMONSHARK as my first position as a tank due to his high HP and ARMOR, and also chose GLORIDAX SOLDIER and placed him in the last position due to his SHIELD ability, which allows him to tank SNEAK monsters. And for my offense, I chose DARIA DRAGONSCALE to increase my monster's melee damage while positioning my DEEPLURKER in the safest position to ensure he deals enough damage to win me the game.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

The enemy relied on his summoner MYLOR CROWLING and made a mistake in placing his SNEAK & OPPORTUNITY monsters in both first and second place which gives way for my DIEMONSHARK to activate its ability TRAMPLE that he was able to eliminate them in a single turn and because the enemy lost his two damage dealer I was able to win the game comfortably.
This is a lesson that even if you got the best summoner in a specific ruleset, it will not give you an automatic win. We still need to choose the best monsters to go along with the summoner and their proper placement.
