Hello, everyone! For this blog, I'll be sharing what I think are the best monsters for the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset, focusing on monsters that will be available in the BRONZE and SILVER leagues, which is where I play. Take note that the monsters/summoners I'm about to tell you about are solely for the MODERN LEAGUE.

What is NOXIOUS FUMES?

According to splintercards.com, All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

Being poisoned means your monsters will be taking -2 damage every round. Except for monsters with certain abilities that will be able to nullify the poison.

ABILITIES

Since we mentioned that we can counter or nullify the poison, I believe these are the greatest abilities for this ruleset.

IMMUNITY

Immunity is the first and, in my opinion, the best ability to have. Negative status effects will not affect monsters who have this ability. Other negative effects from enemy monsters will be removed as well, and it is not limited to the Noxious Fumes ruleset.

CLEANSE

Cleanse is similar to immunity which eliminates all the negative effects. However, the monster that has this ability will remove the negative effects of the friendly monster in the first position instead of himself.

HEAL(SELF HEAL)

One of my favorite abilities is HEAL, which allows monsters to heal themselves for a set amount of HP, which heals the damage taken from the poison.

STRENGTHEN(OPTIONAL)

This ability increases the HP of all your monsters by one, which can be a game-changing ability. Monsters with two HP can survive longer, which has the potential to surprise the enemy.

How do we check the monsters with these abilities?

These are the monsters that will be playable in the bronze league.

MONSTERS WITH IMMUNITY

The first monster is FORGOTTEN ONE, he is the only epic monster that has the ability Immunity at level 1, which can also be used in the NOVICE league.
At the time of writing this blog, the price of this monster is $3.250 which makes him the cheapest monster with this ability.

ALMO CAMBIO, the only Neutral monster with Immunity. And since he is a Neutral monster, he will have a high probability that he is going to be available. ALMO CAMBIO is a situational monster who has a large amount of HP but no damage, he mostly used to outlive the enemy monsters which is why I prefer placing him in a safer position.
This card's current price is $29.

KRAULUS in my opinion is the best monster in this ruleset, with 12HP, 5 armor, and with 2 magic damage along with 3 melee damage. This monster is Over Powered, you can place him anywhere in your lineup but he excels in the first or second position the only downside is his mana cost of 12 and he is expensive which will cost you $100.

MONSTERS WITH CLEANSE

SCAVO CHEMIST, the only common monster in level 1 with the Cleanse ability, has 3 HP, 2 speed, and costs only 2 mana. Because of his cheap mana cost, you can play this monster in either a high or low mana cost game. He does not, however, cause any damage, therefore I simply utilize him to remove the negative effects of my first position. This card is priced for $0.057.

RIVER NYMPH is a water splinter with 1 magic damage, 3 HP, and 2 speed that costs 4 mana. I mostly use her to remove the negative effects of my first position, similar to SCAVO CHEMIST, but this time she has magic damage of 1, which will help deal more damage. This card costs $0.184.

HERBALIST, he will have his Cleanse ability in level 3 which can be used in the bronze league. He has 1 range damage, 1 speed, 2 HP, and 2 mana cost. Similar to RYVER NYMP, I mainly use him to remove the debuffs of my first position monster. You can buy him at $0.455 per bcx, and you will need to have 14 bcx to unlock his ability which will cost $6.345.

SCARRED LLAMA MAGE, the only summoner with Cleanse ability. One of the best summoners in this ruleset, with the Cleanse ability he has also Last Stand and + 2HP ability but it will cost you 7 mana to use him. Using a monster with a Healing ability would be the best partner with him or monsters with high HP that will outlive his enemy monsters. You can buy this card for $269.

MONSTERS WITH SELF HEAL

XENITH MONK, A rare neutral monster that will unlock his ability Heal at level 2. He will have 1 melee damage, 3 speed, 6 damage and 4 mana cost. In my opinion, he is one of the best monsters with this mana in this ruleset. You can place him in the first position along with a Cleanse, or place him in a safer position and he can win you the later rounds.
You can buy him at $0.657 per bcx, and you will need 5 bcx to unlock his ability which will cost you a total of $ 3.285.

KRON THE UNDYING, have you heard of LLAMA KRON? yes this monster KRON along with LLAMA is crazy good in any ruleset and this combo is unparalleled in the Noxious Fumes ruleset, you can only win if you counter them. With Kron 3 magic damage, 2 speed, and 10 HP, he is an incredible monster even without LLAMA but he will cost you 10 mana.
You can buy him for $165.

CORNEALUS, a legendary neutral monster that has a Heal ability. It has 2 range damage, 3 speed, and 12 HP that will cost you 10 mana. Because of his high HP, he will heal 4HP per turn which will nullify the -2 damage from the poison. I usually place him in a safer position to outlive the enemy and sometimes use him in the low mana cost ruleset partnered with a Cleanse. You can buy him for $105.

BYZANTINE KITTY a legendary dragon summoner that has 3 abilities which is Heal, +2 speed, and True Strike. With his Healing ability alone this summoner is excellent in the Noxious Fumes ruleset, with the +2 speed will make sure that his monsters will not be the last to throw their damage and will never miss because of the True Strike, but it will cost you 7 mana cost and expensive which is priced at $395.

The monsters from the BRONZE league are available in the silver league, thus monsters that were listed in the BRONZE league will no longer be listed here.

MONSTERS WITH IMMUNITY

HARKLAW, a legendary death monster that has Shield and will unlock the Immunity ability at level 2. This monster has 2 melee damage, 2 speed, 3 armor, and 9HP but will cost you 8 mana cost. This monster is a good tank, or you can also place him in a safer position and wait for the enemy monsters to die from the poison damage.
You can buy him for $1.853 per bcx, and you will need 3 bcx to unlock his Immunity ability which will cost you a total of $5.340.

DRAGON SPIRIT is an epic dragon monster that has Flying ability at level 1 and will unlock the Immunity at level 3. This monster has 5 speed, 7HP, and 3 mana cost, which will be excellent in a low mana cost ruleset, it is very similar to ALMO CAMBIO that does not provide damage.
You can buy him at $2.841 per bcx, and you will need a total of 10 bcx to unlock his Immunity ability, which will cost you $32.543.

MONSTERS WITH CLEANSE

KELP INITIATE, A rare water monster that will unlock its Cleanse ability at level 3. This monster has 5 speed, 5HP and 2 mana cost. He is an excellent secondary tank for this ruleset, he will be removing the negative effects of the first position. However, since he has no attack he can only be used as a tank or support.
You can buy him for $1.880 per bcx and unlock the Cleanse, you must have 14bcx and the total cost for this card is $26.910.

DIAMOND DRAGON is a legendary dragon monster with 3 abilities which are Flying and Slow which are available at level 1 and Cleanse which can be unlocked at level 2. This monster has 2 magic damage, 3 speed, 10 armor, and 6 HP that is really amazing in the high mana ruleset but it will cost 10 mana to be able to use him.
You can buy him for $33.49 per bcx and you must have 3 bcx which will cost $78.000 to unlock his Cleanse ability.

MONSTERS WITH HEAL

URIEL THE PURIFIER, a legendary life monster with the abilities Flying and Recharge which are available at level 1 and Heal will be unlocked at level 2. He has 3 melee damage, 3 speed, 6 armor, and 11 HP which makes him an amazing tank. However, this monster will cost you 11 mana and it also needs 2 rounds to deal damage.
You will be able to buy him for $9.435 per bcx and you have 3 bcx to unlock his Heal ability which costs you $28.062.

KRAULUS, is also a legendary life monster that was also included in the BRONZE LEAGUE. In the silver league or at level 2 this monster Heal ability will be unlocked which will make him more amazing in this ruleset but even after leveling this card up the basic stats will remain the same.
You can buy him for $100 per bcx, and to unlock his Heal ability you must have 3 bcx which will cost you $250

DISCLAIMER FOR THE CARD PRICES

The prices of the monsters that I provided was during the time I am writing this blog and they may change, If you're wondering why some monsters cost $100 per bcx and $250 per 3bcx, the math doesn't seem correct because some sellers are selling the cards with higher bcx at a lower price rather than using the single card price.

EXAMPLE BATTLES

GAME # 1 - HEAL AND CLEANSE COMBO

This is an example which I mentioned earlier with XENITH MONK placing him in the first position and getting RIVER NYMPH to remove the negative effects that made me won the game.

Same with the previous game, I used XENITH MONK along with HERBALIST to remove the poison. However, this time the Cleanse ability was used in my CELESTIAL HARPY that won me the game.

In this game, I picked FORGOTTEN ONE because of his Immunity ability and XENITH MONK because of his heal and placed him in what I think is the safest position that made me win.

Since this is already a very long post, I just want to say that you don't need the best or expensive monsters to win with this ruleset, you just need to play it wisely, place your monsters in the correct position and use the monsters that will be compatible which other.
