COUNTER ATTACK - SPLINTERLANDS BRAWLS

Another week of Splinterlands Brawl has arrived, and this time, my focus was on countering the enemy lineup by carefully selecting cards that could disable or nullify their abilities. Join me in reviewing my performance in this brawl, and I hope you find it enjoyable.

BATTLES

GAME 1

I adopted an aggressive lineup strategy by selecting two monsters with the OPPORTUNITY ability, aiming to capitalize on their speed advantage. Additionally, I chose KELYA as my summoner to boost the speed of my team and utilized NOA THE JUST with its RUST ability to lower the physical defense of the enemy. However, I encountered a counterstrategy from the opponent, who opted for LILY as their summoner. This prevented my OPPORTUNITY monsters from targeting their vulnerable units, and their solid defenses effectively withstood my offensive onslaught.

GAME 2

In the LITTLE LEAGUE ruleset, I opted for my new favorite lineup, consisting of heavy magic damage monsters complemented by two monsters with the PROTECT ability to counter physical damage. With this strategic approach, my defenses proved resilient, while my damage dealers dominated the enemy team.

GAME 3

In the third match, I took a calculated risk and assembled a lineup specifically designed to counter magic damage monsters. I selected MUSHROOM SEER and UNICORN MUSTANG, along with support from WOOD NYMPH, to withstand frontal magic damage. Meanwhile, my primary damage dealer, KATRELBA, gradually whittled down the enemy monsters. Fortunately, the enemy opted for a heavy magic damage lineup, and my gamble paid off handsomely.

GAME 4

Similar to the first game, I adopted an aggressive lineup by choosing two monsters with the SNEAK ability and bolstering their speed with KELYA. However, I failed to anticipate that the enemy would opt for a magic damage lineup, and as a result, my defenses crumbled, leading to a loss in the game.

GAME 5

In the fifth game, I took another gamble, considering that the ruleset would render magic monsters vulnerable. To counter the melee monsters, I chose MYLOR CROWLING as my summoner. Additionally, I bolstered my defenses by including two monsters with the PROTECT ability. Meanwhile, my damage dealer, KATRELBA, worked steadily to eliminate the enemy's backline monsters.

GAME 6

Given the limited card selection and the restrictive ruleset, I opted for a lineup comprised entirely of physical damage monsters, including two ranged and one melee monster. To enhance the defense of my team, I selected RAVENHOOD for his valuable PROTECT ability.

GAME 7

In the final game, I was completely outplayed and suffered a devastating defeat. Despite my effort to assemble a lineup of melee monsters to capitalize on the ruleset, the enemy cleverly implemented a double SHIELD strategy, positioning their shields in the first and last slots. Moreover, they further weakened my melee damage output by including a DISINTEGRATOR in their lineup. As a result, my SNEAK & OPPORTUNITY monsters were unable to make even a dent in their defenses.

AFTERWORDS

In my opinion the easiest way to win a game is to overpower the enemy, choosing the overpowered cards/monsters but if both of you have similar decks the best way to win is to choose your lineup that will destroy the enemy and to do that, you need to anticipate the enemy monsters and make sure that your monsters will counter it and once you successfully did that, it will be a walk in a park.
