DEEPLURKER - WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE

Hello everyone, I'm back with another post about DEEPLURKER (previous post). This is one of my favorite monsters in the CHAOS LEGION, and its power will be demonstrated in this blog.

First, we have to know the story of DEEPLURKER and according to the splinterlands lore; Terrifying to behold, Deeplurkers are poisonous fish that dwell at the bottom of the ocean and prey on the weak. However, they are known to travel to the surface in times of dire need. Many believe that they are sensitive to the balance of elemental water magic and, when that balance is in danger, the Deeplurkers rise to attack or defend it.

DEEPLURKER has three abilities: SNEAK , which is automatically unlocked at level 1, POISON , which is unlocked at level 6, and DEMORALIZE , which is unlocked at level 10.

CARD PRICE

DEEPLURKER is a common card from the water splinter that gives 25 CP per bcx and 125 CP in gold foil.

At the time of writing, this card costs $0.196 per bcx, and it takes 60 bcx to level 5, which costs $11.76 and grants 500 CP.

The gold foil version of this card is automatically upgraded to level 2 and requires 5 bcx to upgrade to level 5, for a total cost of 15.5 and 625 CP.

You can also play this card if you don't own it by renting it from the market. This card's level 1 or 1 bcx costs 0.1 DEC/Day and level 5 costs 3.073 DEC/Day.
Level 5 costs 8.550 DEC/Day and the gold foil version 1 bcx costs 1.092 DEC/Day.


WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS

STRENGTHS, this monster is one of the strongest common cards in the CHAOS LEGION deck, from novice to champions league. His base stats at level 1 are overpowered, with 3 damage, 2 speed, and 6 HP, and when all of his abilities are unlocked at max level, he will be even deadlier.

WEAKNESS, the only weakness I can think of for this card is that it will be difficult to use in low mana cap games, REVERSE SPEED ruleset, and it has no armor.

RULESET

The game has a 32 mana cap and the FOG OF WAR and RISE OF COMMON rulesets, in which DEEPLURKER excels because he is one of the best common monsters in the league and without any SNEAK and SNIPE. The ability OPPORTUNITY of DEEPLURKER will eliminate the weaker enemies. That is why my strategy for this game was to buy time for my DEEPLURKER to eliminate all of the enemy monsters by selecting good tanks and support to give him more time to finish off the enemy.


SUMMONER

KELYA FRENDUL is the best summoner to team up with DEEPLURKER because her +1 SPEED will make him more lethal and her +1 Armor will compensate for DEEPLURKER's**weakness of having no armor.


TANKS

DIEMONSHARK will be the TANK and DAMAGE dealer, with monstrous stats of 8 hp and 6 armor making him difficult to kill with either physical or magical damage, and his 4 speed and 3 damage making him a great damage dealer as well. He'll deal the direct damage while my DEEPLURKER lurks in the shadows.


WAVE RUNNER, I only have a few choices for my secondary position monster and secondary tank, and this monster is the most compatible with it. While his primary role was to be a secondary tank, he can also be a damage dealer due to his high speed of 4 and 2 melee damage.


SUPPORT

VENARI WAVESMITH is the most important support I needed; his ability PROTECT, which increases my monster's armor by +2, will help my DEEPLURKER live longer.


DAMAGE DEALERS

MERDHAMPIR, I chose this monster for his CRIPPLE ability. He will weaken the opposing monsters, allowing my DEEPLURKER to finish them off.


DEEPLURKER is the main monster in this match, and his ability OPPORTUNITY is the most important in my lineup. I'll be able to win the game if DEEPLURKER can eliminate the enemy monsters before they can take their turn.


The battle was KELYA vs KELYA, but after looking at both of our lineups, I was confident in mine because I have more damage output than him and he has two monsters that do not deal any damage.

ROUND 1

We traded damage in the first round, and we both had unlucky misses that kept one of our important monsters alive.

ROUND 2

I was able to gain the upper hand in the second round, eliminating two of his monsters, including the main tank KELP INITIATE and one of his main damage dealers FEASTING SEAWEED, while only losing my secondary tank WAVE RUNNER.

ROUND 3 & 4

In the third and fourth rounds, I was able to eliminate one enemy monster but lost my VENARI WAVESMITH in the process. The round ended with four of my monsters remaining and the enemy with only three.

ROUND 5 & 6

In rounds 5 and 6, I eliminated his DEMENTED SHARK before it could take its turn, allowing me to win the game without losing any monsters.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

DEEPLURKER is one of the most powerful common monsters in all of the CHAOS LEGION cards in my opinion, and with his good stats, his mana cost is not that high, making this monster one of my favorites.
I have very few monsters in my deck, so this lineup isn't the best, but I'm not going to change anything because I'm confident that I can win against anything.
