DEMENTED SHARK + MELEE MONSTERS in UNPROTECTED RULESET = WIN?

Hello everyone, this is another Splinterlands Weekly Battle challenge, and unfortunately, I don't have the monster for it, but I will be sharing my DEMENTED SHARK for this challenge, its basic stats, my thoughts on this monster, and going over details on how I used this monster in the game.

To begin, we must understand the story of the DEMENTED SHARK, and according to splinterlands legend, sharks are incredibly resilient in the wild of the Outer Ocean. Because of how rashly and indiscriminately they attack prey, they are frequently marred and damaged by those they attack, who have unseen (and often horrific) defenses. The edge fish, whose scales are as sharp as steel blades, is one of these prey creatures that sharks continue to attack in the wild. Another is the genus Coelomomyces, a group of aquatic fungi creatures that lay spores inside the brains of larger fish when attacked. The small, treelike fungus grows from the sharks' heads several weeks after the spores are laid. This causes the sharks to lose control and spiral into a state of perpetual blinding agony. This is how Demented Sharks are born, and when they make their way into the inner sea of ZMRÉ, no Mer is safe.

DEMENTED SHARK is a powerful monster that has two abilities which are INSPIRE which will be automatically available at level 1 and THORNS which will be unlocked at level 6.

CARD PRICE

DEMENTED SHARK is a common monster from the water splinter that gives 10 CP per bcx on regular foil and 500 CP per bcx on gold foil.

At the time of writing, the regular foil version of this card costs $0.270 per bcx, and upgrading to level 3 costs $3.78.

The gold foil version is automatically upgraded to level 3, where each bcx costs $4.410.

Because this card is expensive for a common card, it can also be rented for a minimum of two days at a time for 0.1 DEC/Day for level 1, 0.140 DEC/Day for level 3, and 0.499 DEC/Day for the gold foil version.


WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS

STRENGTHS, this is a powerful card at level, he can be a tank, support, and damage dealer all at the same time due to its basic stats and INSPIRE ability, which increases the melee damage of its allies.

WEAKNESS. This card cannot be the main tank, and I usually use it for utility for its INSPIRE, which means I put him in a safer position just to maximize its ability, preventing him from dealing damage.

RULESET

The game has a 30 mana cap and a single ruleset of UNPROTECTED melee monsters with OPPORTUNITY and SNEAK strives, which is why DEMENTED SHARK is one of the best monsters in this ruleset because of his ability INSPIRE to boost my melee damage, allowing me to eliminate enemies much faster.


SUMMONER

DARIA DRAGONSCALE, is one of the best summoners with DEMENTED SHARK These two cards will boost further the melee damage of its allies making them more deadly.


TANKS

DEMENTED SHARK is the main character of this lineup; he is the main tank, damage dealer, and utility monster in this match; his base armor increases its survivability, and his speed and damage make him a lethal damage dealer.


TIDE BITER is the lineup's secondary tank, but I chose him for his speed and damage, as well as his REACH ability, which makes him a great secondary position monster.


SNEAK COMBO

PELACOR BANDIT has a low 1 damage, but with my summoner's melee damage boost and DEMENTED SHARK, he will be the first monster to damage the enemy backline monsters.


URAEUS is the finisher of my SNEAK combo monsters; due to the boost from my summoner and DEMENTED SHARK, this monster will have a base damage of 4.


UTILITY MONSTERS

DHAMPIR INFILTRATOR works well with my DEMENTED SHARK, as his DUAL STRIKE ability allows him to eliminate the enemy monsters' backlines on his own.


DEEPLURKER is my sneakiest and deadliest monster in this lineup; with its OPPORTUNITY ability and base damage and speed, this monster will be able to eliminate the enemy monsters before its turn.


In the battle of MELEE MONSTERS, my WATER SPLINTERS vs the opponent's FIRE SPLINTER, we both are not protected by any armor thus this game depends on our monster's speed who will able to take their turn first.

ROUND 1

We both traded damage in the first round and since my monsters have the higher speed I was able to eliminate his TENYII STRIKER before it can take its turn and because of that, I was able to eliminate two of his backline monsters and only losing 1.

ROUND 2

My monsters dominated the second round and were able to finish the game cleanly, my monsters eliminated all 4 of the enemy monsters before they all can take their turn making it a clean sweep.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

DEMENTED SHARK was one of the first monsters I purchased for my lineup, and he is still one of my most valuable monsters in the lineup, even though I don't use it very often, but every time I do, this monster gives me a good result.
I'm not changing anything in my lineup because the only counter is monsters with the ability THORNS. I checked my opponent's match history and he never used MYLOR CROWLING, so I'm confident in my lineup.
