VOUCHERS VOUCHERS VOUCHERS!!!!!

Vouchers are the hottest thing in Splinterlands right now. But $20 for 1?

Hey everyone.
There is a lot of buzz going on pertaining to the Vouchers for Chaos Legions. I hope all of your prerelease plans are running smoothly. If you have yet to read all the details click HERE

A few of the people that I know who play the game, were talking about the current cost of Vouchers and what we will happen to the price by the end of the presale (35 days as of writing this post). Currently the price of 1 Voucher is $16.84USD on Hive engine; I know a few people that have sold as high as $20.

I think that the craziest part in all this is that these ONLY last for 35 days.
One of my "Legends" had stated that the value of the gold promo will dictate if it was worth it, but without knowing more about the set I think it's a gamble. There is also a general consensus among "The SplinterLegends" that people are going to buy the Vouchers all the way through to meet the 2000 pack requirement, so that may be something to think on as well as all the benefits attached to buying the packs during prerelease, combined with the limited supply, may drive demand. In looking at SPS, the liquid pool continuing to go down, means people are trying to get as many vouchers as possible, so our overall consensus could prove true.

On the flip side, my prediction is that towards the end of the prerelease, people who have hit their predetermined number of packs, will sell there remaining vouchers to get the SPS needed to purchase the packs, without having to un-stake their current SPS. And they will out number the people still trying to meet their target number of packs, in-turn drive the price of the vouchers down.

Another friend said to get the largest discounts per pack(2000 = $3/pack), a lot of people might have to un-stake a good portion of their SPS to fund the purchase. And since it takes 4 weeks for the un-staking process to complete, I think we will see wild variation in the liquid pool on 28/21/14/7 days left of the prerelease. But if people miscalculate because un-staking their SPS also means lower voucher drops, there might be a scramble to get the last few to hit their mark, which would drive up the price.

Who is right?

Only time will tell.

Let me know what you think. I love hearing other peoples positions and theories.

Remember that in the 5th and last week of presale there will be no voucher airdrop, no more free daily vouchers, only the old ones which are left, so in case most packs are sold within the first 4 weeks and only some packs and vouchers are left, it could possibly drive up the voucher price, but only time will tell.

You also have to remember that there are only 33,333.333 vouchers dropped every day, so that first day was the smallest supply, and each day the supply goes up more and more.

As soon as people realize they're getting SUPER ripped off buying $12 packs on Hive-Engine (worth less than $3.60), the price of the voucher will crash to under 10 Hive.
