I'd like to share with you today my thoughts on whether it's worth investing in an SPS at this time. I decided to write this post because I am sure many people are currently asking themselves this question and it is hard to find any objective information. I usually see people on Twitter or Splintertalk saying that you should buy here and now but I ask myself "Are you sure? Or is it better to wait some more?"

Let's look at the chart

At the very beginning I would like to analyze a little bit what the chart can really tell us of course I am not an expert, but I can easily say that we are still in a downtrend and completely unable to deal with it. Already at this point we are very close to the historical minimum which could tell us that this is a good time to buy because rarely in such projects the price falls below the first stabilization price, another thing that could convince us to buy is of course the knowledge that the SPS itself has been around for a while and therefore a lot can still happen.

The thing that worries me is that we are at a stage of great uncertainty in the overall market. It's been a long time since we've seen so much anxiety among investors. This could have the effect of breaking the lows and dropping the price below $0.18 at this point in time in my opinion it would be best to buy at half the amount of money invested and wait and see what happens with the rest.

Staking and Airdrops

The thing that really convinces me the most to buy at this point is staking SPS to receive Vouchers, at this point I only have 280 SPS staked but every day I receive about 0.1 Vouchers and 0.5 SPS so I get about $0.8 per day. This is not much but with the 280 SPS currently being valued at $75 it means that my equity is growing by about 1% every day, which gives us a 365% APR. But keep in mind that the moment you finish receiving the Vouchers the APR will drop again to 42%, of course as the stakes grow the value there may drop even more.

For those who would also like to receive a substantial airdrop I invite you to check how well you can earn on buying SPT, I recently surprised myself, because with the current number of SPT equal to 1600 I receive 416 SPT. At the current price of SPT equal to 0.00345, this means that for about $5 we get 0.5 SPS ($0.135). This gives us about 900% APR at this point until I wonder myself if this is possible. As you can look at the chart everything is going down and SPT is going up. However, I invite you to do your own analysis.

My tactics for the next few days

Now let's get to what I'll be doing in the near future because I think that most of you are interested in it.

My best idea is to invest 25% of the funds allocated for SPS in the purchase of the SPS itself and tokenization. For another, 25% buy SPT to delegate to @monster-curator and receive the tokens along with airdrop, and then package the SPS you receive. And at the time when SPS falls to historical minimums another purchase for the rest of the available funds. I find this to be a rather prudent way to go, as I believe that even if the historical lows are broken, there is a very good chance that the hype that is currently on Splinterlands and Hive.
