Splinterlands Art Contest - Season End

Hello hivers and splinterlands gamers!

This is my new digital illustration for this week contest https://ecency.com/contest/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-154-10-booster-pack-prize. I decided to illustrate end of the season when we all are anticipating opening chests.

And as I saw on previous week that the game is extremely popular in southern Asia I even tried to make my main character more asian.

Here is the sketch I started with.

And then step by step I moved to complete lineart because this time I decided that training lineart is very important for me.
This is the final lineart. I made it dark brown since as I wrote before I prefer brown lines to black.

The hardest part was perspective for all those chests and I created in another layer perspective lines for them all.

Then I coloured everything with different layers as well to be able to make tonal correction if I do not like the colours. And it helped because the sky I made lighter and DEC where not violet enough for me.

And finally I added lights and shadows to make illustration complete.
