Beginners Guide to Splinterlands Life Deck

In today's Splinterlands beginner's guide, I will be focusing on the Light deck.
(Check out my previous two guides on how to play the Earth and Water deck)

In my opinion, the light deck is one of the toughest to run early on, but once you get the hang of it, it could very well be your favorite deck to run.

One of the reasons why I believe the light deck is so tough to run early on is simply because of how versatile this deck can be, but one of the most effective ways to run this deck is by utilizing monsters with sneak attack ability.

These cards are essential to making this deck work, especially in the Silver rank and up.
Also, the ability Sneak hits the opponent's back monster instead of the first unless your monster is up in the front spot.

The cool thing about this deck is that you can pretty much run any light summoners and it will synergize relatively well. My personal favorite is the Lorna shine card since she provides Divine Shield ability to all your monsters which means it will negate the initial first damage when your cards are being attacked. This increases your survivability drastically.

Tyrus Paladium is a good option for starters, Mother Khala is also a good choice but in my personal opinion, I like to have extra armor unless I know for sure I am going against a magic deck.

Chanseus the great is the legendary summoners card for the light deck which I feel like compared to the other legendary summoners card it's pretty underwhelming but during the high mana cap situation it can come in handy.

Now let's move on to the tanks, these are my personal favorite when it comes to using tanks and you can really use any of these depending on the mana cap.

Silvershield Knight is a great one to have because of his "Inspire" ability which gives all friendly monsters +1 attack and typically when I play the light deck I like to run all melee cards so this card will synergize well with the rest of your deck. However, it's not the best tank to have on the frontline so typically I usually like to pick any of the three tanks (Crystal Jaguar, Silvershield Paladin, Shieldbearer) and place this card second.

Here is your list of support monsters you can add to really bring this deck to life! You have Divine Healer which is pretty self-explanatory and Armorsmith which repairs the armor of your monsters and truth speaker.

So that's pretty much how you form a light deck if you're just starting out, tomorrow I will have a gameplay video that can really showcase the true potential of this deck so stay tuned for that!
