Some new players might be wondering, what is the point of joining a guild. Well let me inform you in this post.

DEC Advantage DEC 好處

The very first advantage that you will feel is the DEC Bonus and Shop discount.

The DEC bonus here is referring to the DEC that you earn from every match you win. So you will get however much bonus you can get based on your guild's lodge level, so for example, my guild's Lodge is at level 4 now, so I will be getting an extra 4% of DEC of every match that I win. Assuming I get 5DEC, my total reward would be 5.2DEC.

Shop discount is when you buy anything in the shop that uses DEC, for example skins or potions, etc.

Guild Brawls 公會亂鬥

Other than that, you can join Guild Brawls. Brawl occurs every few days, there will be a preparation period where players can prepare and the guild master decides how to arrange the player entries. After the brawl ends, there will be a day of cooldown period.

Player has to pick a fray to enter and fight a brawl and each fray has its own rules.

For example, here we can see that your monsters will be capped at Bronze league and you can only use Untamed Edition Gold Foil cards.

This is why you will always see some of the more decent or top tier guilds always looking for players with a more diverse Gold Foil deck and this is also one of the reasons why Gold Foils are valuable.

Merits, Crowns

When your guild completes and places higher in the brawl, every guild member will be awarded Merits and the guild will be awarded Crowns. Merits are the currency that you can use to buy Gladius Case in the store while Crowns are used to upgrade Guild Store.

Also take note that you can only buy Gladius Case when your guild's store is at level 2.

You can also upgrade your Guild's Arena Building to increase the number of brawl participants and Barracks to get different advantages during Guild Brawls.

Gladius Case

Back to the Gladius case, you will be able to buy a Gladius Case when you have earned 2000 Merits from participating in Brawls.

You can then open it and just like any other booster packs and you will pull 5 cards from it.

Here are some of the cards that I pulled from a Gladius case.

These cards are more powerful than normal monsters because of the unique "Bloodlust" ability they have. This ability increases all the monster's stats by 1 when it manages to deal last blow to a monster.

One of the downsides of these cards is they can only be used in Brawls, you cannot sell them on the market like the other cards and you can only use 1 gladiator card in a battle.

On the other hand, they can level up just like any other normal cards, you can "burn" them to earn DEC and one big highlight here is they count into your collection power.

Future Potential Earning 未來潛在收益

There are talks about adding SPS earning feature to guild brawls but this is just speculation at this point. Right now Guild acts as more of a social hub where players can interact with each other and play brawls together.

To join a guild, you can go to the Guild Section and look for a guild that suits you.

You can also filter them by Open, By Request and Invite Only.

Another way to find a guild is to go to Splinterland's discord in the guild recruitment text channel, there you will find a lot of guilds recruiting new members. But keep in mind, most of these are competitive guilds that are looking for members that can pay weekly or every season in order to upgrade their buildings and stay competitive in the Guild Brawls. So be ready to pay DEC

Or if you are lucky you might find some guilds that are just looking for casual players but do not expect much from those kind of guilds because when there's no commitment, usually the guild will end up dying and usually no one is willing to upgrade the buildings other than the leader him/herself and most probably it won't have a Guild store as well because to get that building you will need a lot of investments in the Guild.
