Splinterlands Art Contest- Regal Peryton

Hello everyone....

It's a beautiful Tuesday day out here, it rained a little this morning but the weather is quite clear now.

I started working on this art on my phone yesterday, I wanted to do something different, not a human or catoony face. I've been drawing humans a lot so here's an animal for a change, one for this splinterlands contest...

The Regal Peryton are magical creatures who love to help others, they are highly intelligent and pride themselves as guardians of the natural world.

They are very beautiful creatures no doubt, they live in the mountains and hardly leave their territory. They create rainbows when their wings catches sunlight as they fly across the sky, isn't that amazing?

I totally enjoyed painting this piece, from the sketch to adding the base colours and shadows, the wings are so colourful and beautiful and choosing the colours took a little while. I added leaves to the horn to give it a fantasy look, I really love the final piece, I hope you do too🥰
