Not A Good For Me on Splinterlands
Chaos Legion Pack general sale is still ongoing, no doubt everyone playing the game is already pulling out their saved funds to make purchases.
I was able to buy 261 packs at the cost of $4 per 1, still making plans to buy more before the week runs out that's if there would be any left after a day & a half.
I never really wanted to open some packs today, but is so tempting that I jumped on it without hesitation. Meanwhile, I already have enough portions to go round each opening but.......... it was insane
I opened it in the order, (7, 10, 13, 1) packs that is 31 packs in all totally $124. Giving me 155 game cards.
I was fast in opening them, just to see if I can get a good gold foil or legendary cards.
Sad Truth
I was unable to get a legendary card, the only good cards that I got was a few Summoners that at below $4 at the moment and a bunch of Commons and epic with a few golds worth roughly $2 at current prices.
There isn't any lesson learned, the sad truth is that is not in players' hands to determine what they get in packs. The 100% certainty of a particular card lies in buying a card from the market.
In all, I know cards prices can appreciate but with the large volume out there, is going to take long.
Financial Run Down
31 packs cost = $124
155 cards gotten = $77.12
Loss : 124 - 77.12 = $46.88
Conclusion
It ia not a huge loss because on average I can only think of making $124 back from Dec in the game by playing for a 2 week & a half. But a loss is still a loss, everyone wishes to win no matter the odds. Still planning when to open the remaining packs and level up most of them.
Meanwhile, you can always buy in on packs regardless of whether you are playing or not, find a trusted colleague that plays the game, and negotiate with them.
