SPS is the most important token in the entire Splinterlands ecosystem, and although it’s actually very cheap right now—and we could say it’s at a market discount—many players who want to start earning real income don’t have the necessary capital to get started, That’s why it’s essential to have it, since it’s what unlocks the full potential of playing in “Ranked” matches. The whole point of playing is to generate those daily earnings in SPS and GLINT so you can progress; without this, it’s not possible, so having it is mandatory.
But don't worry—I know "mandatory" sounds a bit harsh, to put it mildly, but it’s simpler than it seems. Even if you only have a few dollars in your wallet and want to get started, you can do it. However, many people don’t know the process—how to get that cheap SPS, or how to leverage others who do have hundreds, thousands, or even millions of SPS available for other players. So, this post will be very straightforward, but it will be very valuable for those unfamiliar with these topics, because they might think you have to spend a lot of money to get started, and that’s not true.
So, while this will be a relatively short post, it will provide valuable information for new users looking to make the most of their limited funds and start earning in-game rewards.
How do I earn SPS to get rewards in Ranked matches?
All new players will think that the only way to earn daily SPS and GLINT is to buy SPS. On the one hand, that’s true—if you don’t buy SPS, you won’t be able to get the RSHARES multiplier you need to earn them, since you have to stake them. But what if I told you there’s another way to get them without buying them, and that you can do it with just a few dollars in your wallet?
You can do this right from the game interface itself, or through third-party marketplaces—for example, the most well-known one that most people are probably familiar with is “Peakmonsters”— but what’s truly important is how you obtain them, and that’s through “renting” SPS, because yes, you can rent them for a set period of time, with some incredible advantages if you choose this route instead of owning your own SPS—which, in my opinion, is much better—but renting isn’t a bad option, especially if you’re just exploring the game and have limited funds.
But where can you get it, and how does it work?
As you can see in the image, it’s very easy to do. Basically, go to the “Market” tab at the top of the screen, select “Market,” and then click “Place Bid” to submit your SPS request. Don’t worry—I’ll explain how to do it shortly, but first, take a look at the table in the image, specifically the “Buy Side” and “Sell Side” sections. Although it may look a bit complex, it’s actually very easy to interpret. So, here’s the first step:
BIDS Buy Side: These are the buy-side bids, meaning offers from people who want to buy SPS at a specific price. For example, the first user on the list, “VAECHER,” wants to buy about 35,000 SPS at a price of 0.001 DEC.
OFFERS Sell Side: On this side, we have orders from users who want to rent out their SPS at a specific price—basically the opposite of the previous scenario, but quite straightforward. For example, the user BRAVETOFU is listing their SPS for rent on the market at a price of 0.002 DEC per SPS; most of the orders are from them.
Place BID and Create Offer
Now, just like us, in this case the newer players want to rent SPS, so they have to create a listing for someone to accept, especially users who own SPS. However, for this to happen, the user who owns the SPS would have to agree to the price you set. For example:
In the image above, I placed an offer to rent about 35,000 SPS at a price of 0.002 DEC. If I place this offer, I’ll automatically have the SPS in my staking account, since I set a price that matches what users holding SPS are asking for, so the rental order is executed instantly. Now, if I want to save a few DECs, I should set a price of 0.001 DEC, but this could take quite a while, so it’s best to set a price of 0.002 DEC to get the SPS quickly. In this case, that amount is only 490 DEC—a negligible sum.
NOTE: This is how the rental market works—it’s very simple. The best part is that you now have an “AUTO RENEW OFFERS” button, so if you have enough DEC to renew your offers and can play consistently, it’s best to turn it on. Now, if you want to test the system, the game, and its rewards with certain amounts of SPS to see how much you can earn per battle, don’t activate it—leave it as is—and try out what works best for you.
What are the “benefits” of renting SPS?
This is actually very clear, but for those who still don't see the benefits of renting SPS, I'll summarize and/or explain them very briefly in this section:
Benefits
Get a large amount of SPS at a low cost: One of the biggest benefits of this is that you can acquire a large amount of SPS with very little capital, and this is incredibly advantageous because you can easily increase your RSHARES multiplier, allowing you to earn more SPS and GLINT per battle won in the game.
Flexibility: You can choose to play or not play whenever you want. Basically, if you can't play for a month or however long, you can pause your subscription and simply not play; you decide what to do based on your schedule.
Free from SPS Volatility: This is a good thing if you don't want to be exposed to SPS volatility, so if your goal is to earn money to play, renting is your best bet—you have that option.
Final Thoughts
All things considered, renting SPS is one of the best options available to help you gain an edge and focus solely on winning battles. So, for new players who don’t have a lot of capital to spare, this is the best choice. Therefore, if you weren’t aware of this and are new to the game, you should definitely take advantage of it.

El SPS es el token mas importante de todo el ecosistema de Splinterlands, y aunque realmente justo ahora esta muy barato y podríamos decir que se encuentra en un descuento de mercado, muchos jugadores que quieren comenzar a tener ingresos reales no tienen el capital necesario para comenzar, es por eso que, es imprescindible tenerlo, ya que es lo que desbloquea todo el potencial de jugar en “Rankeds”, ya que la idea de jugar, es generar esas ganancias diarias en SPS y GLINT para que puedas progresar, sin esto no es posible por lo que es obligatorio tenerlo.
Pero, no se preocupen, se que obligatorio suena un poco rudo por llamarlo de alguna manera, sin embargo, es mas sencillo de lo que parece, incluso si tienes solo unos pocos dólares en la billetera y quieres comenzar, puedes hacerlo, pero muchos no saben cuál es el proceso, como obtener ese SPS barato, como apalancarte de otros que si tienen cientos, miles y millones de SPS a disposición para otros jugadores, así que, este post será muy sencillo, pero, con mucho valor para el que no conoce de estos temas, porque quizás, creen que hay que gastar mucho dinero para iniciar y esto no es cierto.

¿Cómo obtener SPS para ganar recompensas en Rankeds?
Todos los nuevos jugadores pensarán que la única manera de ganar SPS y GLINT diarios es comprar SPS, por un lado, es cierto, si no compras SPS no podrás tener ese multiplicador de RSHARES que necesitas para ganarlos, ya que necesitas tenerlos en “Staking”, pero, si te dijera que hay otra forma de obtenerlos sin comprarlos y que puedes hacerlo con unos cuantos dólares que tengas en tu billetera.
Esto se puede lograr desde la misma interfaz del juego, o en mercados de terceros, por ejemplo la mas famosa que la mayoría debería de conocer es “Peakmonsters”, pero, lo verdaderamente importante es la forma en cómo se obtienen y es través del “Alquiler” de SPS, porque si, puedes rentarlos por un periodo de tiempo determinado, con algunas ventajas increíbles que puedes tener si decides hacerlo de esta manera en vez de tener SPS propio, que, en mi opinión es mucho mejor tenerlo propio, pero, no esta mal alquilarlo y más si estas explorando el juego y tienes poco capital.
Pero ¿Dónde se consigue y cómo funciona?
Como pueden ver en la imagen conseguirlo es muy fácil, básicamente te diriges en la parte superior de la pantalla a la pestaña de “Market”, luego seleccionas “Market” y por último haces clic en “Place Bid” para que puedas hacer tu solicitud de SPS. No se preocupen en breve les explico cómo se hace, pero, primero hay que observar la tabla de la imagen, las llamadas “Buy Side y Sell Side” que, aunque se vea un poco complejo es muy fácil de interpretar. Así que, lo primero es lo siguiente:
BIDS Buy Side: Estas son las ofertas del lado comprador, quiere decir esas personas que quieren SPS y a un determinado precio. Básicamente, poniendo como ejemplo el primero de la lista el usuario llamado “VAECHER”, quiere unos 35000 SPS a un precio de 0.001 DEC.
OFFERS Sell Side: De este lado tenemos las ordenes de usuarios que quieren alquilar el SPS que tienen a un precio determinado, básicamente todo lo contrario a lo anterior, pero bastante sencillo. Por ejemplo, el usuario BRAVETOFU esta colocando en alquiler su SPS en el mercado a un precio de 0.002 DEC por cada SPS, la mayoría de las ordenes son de él.
Place BID y Create Offer
Ahora bien, como nosotros, en este caso los jugadores mas nuevos quieren SPS para alquilar, para ello tienen que crear una oferta para que alguien la tome, especialmente los usuarios que tienen SPS, sin embargo, para que esto suceda, el usuario que tiene el SPS debería de estar de acuerdo con el precio que tu colocas, por ejemplo:
En la imagen anterior yo coloque una oferta para alquilar unos 35000 SPS a un precio de 0.002 DEC, si yo la coloco, automáticamente tendré los SPS en mi cuenta de Staking, ya que como coloque un precio igual al que los usuarios que tienen SPS quieren, pues la orden de alquiler se ejecuta al instante, ahora, si yo quiero ahorrar unos cuantos DECs, debería de colocar un precio de 0.001 DEC, pero, esto podría tardar bastante, así que, lo mejor es colocar un precio de 0.002 DEC para obtener los SPS de forma rápida. En este caso, por esa cantidad son solo 490 DEC, una cifra ínfima.
NOTA: De esta forma funciona el mercado de alquiler, muy fácil, lo mejor es que ahora tienes un “Botón” de “AUTO RENEW OFFERS”, por lo que, si tienes DEC suficiente para renovarla y puedes jugar de forma constante, lo mejor es activarlo, ahora, si lo que quieres es probar el sistema, el juego y sus recompensas con ciertas cantidades de SPS para ver cuanto puedes ganar por batalla, no lo actives, déjalo como esta, y vayan probando que es lo que les funciona.
¿Cuáles son los “Beneficios” de alquilar SPS?
Esto realmente esta muy claro, sin embargo, para los que aun no vean que beneficios tiene alquilar SPS, se los resumiré y/o explicare en esta sección de forma muy rápida:
Beneficios
Obtener gran cantidad de SPS a bajo costo: Uno de los mayores beneficios de esto es que puedes adquirir una gran cantidad de SPS con muy poco capital, y esto es increíblemente beneficioso porque puedes aumentar tu multiplicador de RSHARES de forma muy sencilla, lo que te permitirá ganar mas SPS y GLINT por batalla ganada en el juego.
Flexibilidad: Puedes elegir jugar y no jugar en periodos de tiempo que desees, básicamente si en un mes o lo que sea no puedes jugar, puedes parar ese alquiler y sencillamente no jugar, tu elijes que hacer dependiendo de tu tiempo.
Libre de la Volatilidad de SPS: Esto es algo positivo si es que no quieres estar expuesto a la volatilidad de SPS, por lo que, si lo que te interesa es ganar para jugar, lo mejor es alquilar, así que, tienes esa opción.
Consideraciones Finales
Con todo esto, alquilar SPS es de las mejores opciones que tienes para apalancarte y solo preocuparte por ganar batallas, así que, los nuevos jugadores que no tienen mucho capital disponible, esta es la mejor opción. Por lo que, si no sabias de esto y eres nuevo tienes que aprovecharlo.

I had no idea about this. Once I saw that menu but didn't understand anything, I thought I could only buy the SPS to get the rewards. It would be useful to know this.
No, all you have to do is go there, follow the route, and rent the SPS units you want for a few DEC so you can start earning.
