I'm going to start "selling" my "Golden Lamina" cards. What's my plan? [ES-EN]

I’ve been a player and investor in Splinterlands for many years. I may not be a “whale,” but I’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to this game that I love so much. However, to stay ahead of the curve and not fall behind, I need to update my card deck to implement different strategies that will allow me to earn recurring rewards and generate cash flow, but not with the intention of farming, rather to implement other types of strategies that allow me to monetize my assets. I believe that in the medium to long term, when another market cycle arrives, SPS and DEC could eventually rise, so I want to prepare myself on several fronts, in addition to updating my cards.
That’s why I want to sell them, and in this post I’ll explain my step-by-step plan so you can have a clear roadmap of what I want to do and whether it makes sense to you. Although I’m very attached to my cards, the reality is that they’re not very efficient right now, and in the end—even though it’s a game—there’s money involved. So, it’s necessary to get the assets and money circulating. Therefore, here I’ll reveal what my plans are.
If you want to know what they are and are curious about how I manage my in-game resources, then read to the end, because this might help you get a better handle on your own plans. However, nothing I mention here is an investment RECOMMENDATION; these are simply my plans and what I will personally do. You can follow my lead or do your own research.
The Reasons Behind My Plans and Why I’m Selling My “Cards”
There’s a lot going on in the market right now. Generally speaking, we’re clearly in a bear market, but I expect this cycle to start shifting, and I think we’ll see a bottom form sometime between October and December. That’s why, before the bull market begins, once we see the bottom and price action gradually starts to change, I need to try to position myself, but what exactly do I mean by “positioning myself”?
In the game, there are two main assets that work as follows:
Key Assets
SPS: It is the main asset, the game’s governance and reward token, and is arguably the most important element in the entire Splinterlands ecosystem. Now, why is this important? Because even though its price action is bearish and we’re seeing lows, no asset in the world falls in a straight line, and at some point it will stop falling as the price fluctuates. So, it’s time to start averaging the price to set the stage for when it rebounds and rises, and to take advantage of that.
DEC: This is another of the most important tokens in the ecosystem, as it is the game’s transactional token. This means that we use DEC to pay for practically everything—whether it’s new presales, packs, rent payments, etc. Why is it a good investment right now? Because DEC was created to be pegged so that every 1,000 DEC equals $1, and as I write this post, the price of DEC is $0.00026, so it’s far from its peg. My plan is to accumulate DEC until it gets much closer to the peg.
Last but not least, these two assets aren’t the only reason I’m selling my “Golden Foil” cards; I also want to build a deck with updated cards, and I have my eye on two sets, both from the same edition. I imagine you’re wondering which ones they are, and I’m sure you’re thinking they include the “Rebellion” cards, but you’re in for a surprise because those aren’t included—and the reason is quite simple: it’s the next edition to move to “Wild Format.”
With that in mind, the SETS I have my eye on are:
Conclave Arcana: This is the most current set, and I'm interested in the different variants of its set, since it will be a long time before this set moves to "Wild Format." That's why it's a very good investment right now, because there's still a long way to go before the new set is released, which will cause "Rebellion" to move to Wild Format.
Escalation: This is the next set I have my eye on, and the reason is pretty obvious: it’s part of the “Conclave Arcana” set, since it shares the same frame. Plus, just like Conclave Arcana, it’s still a long way from moving to the Wild format.
Which cards will I sell, and what are the challenges involved?
We’re facing a rather complicated issue here, and the main problem with the game is that when cards move to “Wild Format,” there’s no demand for them—no trading volume or interest. In fact, you can see that the rental prices for these cards are truly negligible, very low, and it’s a real challenge to sell them without giving them away for less than their true value. So this is a problem; however, I can’t give up, so I’ll try to take whatever liquidity the market allows me to take in order to make the capital allocations at the points mentioned in the previous section.
With that in mind, the cards I plan to sell would be of the following rarities, considering only those from the “Lamina Dorada” set:
Types of Cards
Rare: Here I will focus on the rare cards that are most useful in the game; these are the highest-rated ones, but they are not all of them.
Epic: Most epic cards are worth selling simply because of their rarity and scarcity, but it depends on several factors and their price, since I don't want to wait too long to sell them either.
Legendaries: Of course, this is where the greatest value lies. I don't have many golden legendaries, but I do have some, and their value is pretty good. However, they might be undervalued on the market, and that slows down the process.
Investment Allocation
50%: 50% of the revenue generated from these sales will go directly to the SPS, since the more you accumulate, the more you can earn for each battle won.
30%: I’ll go straight to the cards from the “Arcana Conclave” and “Escalation” sets, since I need them to win battles. Plus, I can earn passive income during breaks when I’m not playing, because I rent out the cards and can collect revenue even when I’m not actively playing the game.
20%: The rest goes to DEC—for the reason I mentioned, there’s nothing else behind it—and when it gets close to its support level, I take profits.
Final Thoughts
With that, my plan is set. It will be quite a challenge due to the lack of volume I mentioned, but I hope to pull it off. I have several months ahead of me, but it’s doable. This is a fairly simple yet very powerful investment strategy. Even if you have the liquidity, I would implement it right away without hesitation—you could gain an edge over many players who are waiting for the absolute bottom.

Soy un jugador e inversor en Splinterlands desde hace muchos años, quizás no soy una ballena, pero he dedicado mucho tiempo y esfuerzo a este juego que tanto quiero, sin embargo, para seguir a la vanguardia sin retrasarme, necesito actualizar mi mazo de cartas para aplicar diferentes estrategias que me permitan obtener recompensas recurrentes, un flujo de caja, pero no con la intención de extraer sino de realizar otro tipo de estrategias que me permitan rentabilizar mis activos, ya que pienso que a mediano y largo plazo cuando llegue otro ciclo de mercado el SPS y el DEC eventualmente podrían subir, por lo que quiero prepararme en varios frentes, ademas de actualizar mis cartas.
Es por eso que quiero venderlas y en este post explico cual es mi plan paso por paso para que puedan tener una hoja de ruta clara de lo que quiero hacer y de si tiene algo de sentido para ustedes, aunque soy muy apegado a mis cartas, la realidad es que están siendo poco eficientes ahora mismo, y al final a pesar de ser un juego hay dinero de por medio, por lo que, es necesario causar que los activos y el dinero circule, así que, aquí revelare lo que son mis planes.
Si quieres saber cuales son y tienes un poco de curiosidad en como administro mis recursos en el juego, pues lee hasta el final, porque quizás esto te ayude a centrarte un poco con tus planes, aunque nada de lo comente es una RECOMENDACIÓN de inversión, solo son mis planes y lo que hare personalmente, puedes hacer lo mismo que yo o realizar tu propia investigación.
Los Motivos de mis Planes y por qué vender mis “Cartas”
Están pasando muchas cosas en el mercado ahora mismo, hablando desde un ámbito más general, claramente estamos en un ciclo bajista, pero, este ciclo estimo que comience a cambiar y veamos un suelo alrededor de los meses entre “Octubre y Diciembre” respectivamente, es por eso que, antes de que el ciclo alcista inicie, veamos el suelo y la acción del precio poco a poco comience a cambiar, necesito tratar de posicionarme, pero ¿A que me refiero exactamente con posicionarme?
En el juego tenemos 2 activos principales que funcionan de la siguiente manera:
Activos Principales
SPS: Es el activo principal, el token de gobernanza y recompensa del juego y que es prácticamente el mas importante de todo el ecosistema de Splinterlands. Ahora, porque es importante, porque a pesar de que su acción del precio es bajista y estamos experimentado mínimos, ningún activo en el mundo baja en línea recta, y en algún momento dejara de bajar ya que el precio oscila, así que, es momento de ir promediando el precio para preparar el escenario cuando rebote y suba y7 sacar provecho de eso.
DEC: Esta es otro de los tokens mas importantes que existen en el ecosistema, ya que es el token transaccional del juego, esto quiere decir que prácticamente todo lo pagamos con el DEC, sean las nuevas preventas, los packs, el pago de los alquileres etc. Porque es una buena inversión en este momento, porque el DEC fue creado para estar anclado a que cada 1000 DEC sean iguales a $1, y en este momento justo al redactar este post el precio del DEC es $0.00026, por lo que esta lejos de su punto de anclaje y mi intención es acumular DEC hasta que se acerque mucho al punto de anclaje.
Por ultimo y no menos importante estos 2 activos no son el único motivo que tengo para vender mis cartas de “Lamina Dorada”, sino que también quiero construir un mazo de cartas actualizados y los SETS que tengo en los mira son 2, los cuales pertenecen a una misma edición. Imagino que se preguntaran cuales son, y seguro que están incluyendo las cartas de “Rebellion”, pero, te llevaras una sorpresa porque precisamente esos no están incluidos y la razón es bastante simple, y es que, es la próxima edición que pasara al “Formato Salvaje”.
Con esto claro, los SETS que tengo en la mira son:
Conclave Arcana: Es la edición mas vigente y las diferentes variantes de su SET me interesan, ya que todavía falta mucho para que esta edición se vaya al “Formato Salvaje”, es por eso que justo ahora es una muy buena inversión, porque todavía le falta camino que recorrer antes de que salga la nueva edición que hará que “Rebellion” pase al formato salvaje.
Escalation: Este es el siguiente SET que tengo en la mira y la razón es bastante obvia, forma parte de la edición de “Conclave Arcana” ya que posee su mismo marco, ademas, al igual que Conclave Arcana, también le falta mucho para que pase a el formato salvaje.
¿Qué cartas venderé y cuál es el desafío de hacerlo?
Aquí estamos antes un punto bastante complicado, y es que el gran problema del juego es que cuando las cartas pasan al “Formato Salvaje”, no hay demanda por estas cartas, no hay volumen ni interés, de hecho, pueden ver los precios de alquiler de estas cartas que son realmente ínfimos, muy bajos, y es todo un desafío venderlas sin regarlas por debajo de lo que podría ser su verdadero precio. Entonces esto es un problema, sin embargo, no puedo rendirme así que tratare de tomar la liquidez que el mercado me permita tomar para poder realizar las distribuciones de capital en los puntos que menciona en la sección anterior.
Con esto claro, las cartas que pienso vender serian de las siguientes rarezas tomando en cuenta solo las de “Lamina Dorada”:
Tipos de Cartas
Raras: Aquí me enfocare en las cartas raras con mayor utilidad en el juego, estas son las mayores valoradas, no son todas.
Épicas: La mayoría de las cartas épicas son buenas para vender por el simple hecho de su rareza y suministro, pero, depende de varios factores y su precio, ya que tampoco quiero esperar mucho para vender.
Legendarias: Por supuesto, aquí es donde esta el mayor valor, no tengo muchas legendarias doradas, pero están, su valor es bastante bueno, pero, quizás están infravaloradas en el mercado y esto ralentiza el proceso.
Distribución de Inversión
50%: El 50% de los ingresos que logre recaudar de estas ventas irán directamente al SPS, ya que mientras más acumule más podría ganar por batalla ganada.
30%: Ira directamente a las cartas de las ediciones de “Conclave Arcana y Escalation”, ya que se necesitan para jugar ganar batallas y ademas puedo ganar dinero pasivo en pausas en donde no juegue, ya que alquilo las cartas y puedo tomar valor cuando no este activo en el juego.
20%: El resto va a DEC, por la razón que mencione, no hay mas nada detrás, cuando este cerca de su punto de anclaje, tomo ganancias.
Consideraciones FInales
Con esto esta listo mi plan, será todo un desafío debido a la falta de volumen que mencione, pero, espero poder cumplirlo, tengo varios meses por delante, pero se puede. Este es un plan de inversión bastante sencillo pero muy poderoso, incluso si se tiene liquidez, yo lo aplicaría de una vez sin dudarlo, podrías tomar ventaja delante de muchos jugadores que están esperando el suelo absoluto.
