About 9 days ago, I shared a guide on how players who don’t have capital or an active source of investment should get started. The only option for these types of users is to start the game completely for FREE by following the guidelines in that post. It’s actually very simple, and I clearly explain what they need to do. So, if you haven’t seen or read this post yet, I’ll include the link at the end of this introduction.

That’s why it’s time to explain or create a “Guide” for the opposite side of what I mentioned earlier—I’m referring to those players who, if they have the capital and resources to start the game with a bit of an advantage, unlike free players, who take much longer to earn rewards than players who do put a little blood, sweat, and tears on the line. Of course, there are many strategies for that, because you can start completely for free and that way mitigate the risks associated with investing—not because the game is bad, but because every investment, whatever it may be, always carries an intrinsic risk.

That’s why, in this post, I’ll explain what the “Investor’s Path” in Splinterlands is, so you’ll know where to start and what you need to keep building your path in this ecosystem:

The Investor's Path (Asset Analysis for Investing)

For those starting out with investment and capital, the goal of this type of player is very clear: they’re basically looking to achieve a faster and more progressive return—in short, to have a steady stream of income from that investment. Of course, it’s not about receiving a completely passive income; some also seek to compete at the highest possible level, but whatever the users’ goals may be, strategic investment is key, since it’s not just about putting money in for the sake of it—it goes a little further than that.

That is why I will now conduct an “Analysis” of the assets in which you can invest to earn returns based on that investment, although, of course, the returns (profits) will depend on various factors associated with each of the assets in which you should invest—factors that, naturally, are related to the strategies you need to employ. But without further ado, let’s get to the analysis:

Asset Analysis for Investing

SPS (Splintershards): This is the key investment that every player must absolutely consider for their portfolio related to the “Splinterlands” ecosystem, since it’s not only the “Governance” token but also the rewards token, plus, by staking them, you earn an APR that currently hovers around 8.51% based on the amount you stake, so you receive more SPS for locking them up. Furthermore, not only do you earn that, but you also receive vouchers. Finally, SPS helps you increase your reward multiplier, so you can earn more SPS and GLINT the more SPS you have staked.

Individual Cards (META CARDS): Investing in very specific cards that are part of the current META can be highly profitable and yield excellent returns with a lot of patience. The idea is to buy cards that are in high demand and take advantage of a dip in their price to invest in them, then sell them at a higher price on the open market. Platforms like Splintiers, Peakmonsters, and sometimes Splintercards can help you track card trends and determine the best times to buy and sell.

Plots of Land (Lands): Investing here is a bit more advanced, since you need to learn all the details about the plots of land—how the terrain actually works—in order to make the right decisions. However, once you’ve figured all this out, the lands produce resources that have market value, and you can also earn SPS—but that’s not all: once Phase 3 is unlocked, you’ll be able to create items called spells, which will link the land economy to regular battles.

Validator Nodes: This is one of the best options if you just want to focus on securing the SPS network; by keeping the node active, you earn SPS and VOUCHERS.

Determining the “Budget” Based on Each Player’s Goals

As with any investment, every player or user has their own specific goals, and of course a certain amount of capital—which may be more than they need and which they wouldn’t mind investing in a controlled manner in selected assets. However, I’m sure there are players who have limited capital and, of course, can’t invest in everything or diversify across everything, which might be the best approach, but in these cases, it’s best to know what to do with your budget, and that’s why I want to provide some clarity on that point.

So, now that all of this is clear, let's move on to determining that budget:

Budgets and Objectives:

Immediate Returns: To earn returns quickly, the idea is to invest in assets that generate returns much faster. For example, the goal here is to rent out cards from the current META, which are in high demand and generate DEC passively and consistently. On the other hand, there are also liquidity pools (SPS/DEC), for example; however, this type of investment requires experience with DeFi, so I don’t recommend it if you don’t have that experience.
Long-term accumulation: Now, if players’ goal is to grow more over the long term, the best approach would be to invest in “Lands,” which produce various resources, including SPS, and, of course, to bet on the ecosystem’s main token, which is SPS—though don’t take the word “bet” literally; rather, I mean to invest.
Elite Competition: Here, the investment focuses on gameplay, so you basically need to invest in very powerful card decks with high demand potential—not only to hedge against risks but also to compete at the highest level. However, this requires a significant amount of SPS in staking, so the investment is not only in cards but also in SPS.

Final Thoughts

I hope this post has clarified the difference between “Free” players and those who, if they have the means to invest—of course, as I mentioned before, choosing between the two is relative—because those who start for free are risk-free while they try out the game and learn the ecosystem, but those who do have the means start with a small investment while they’re also trying it out. As you can see, there aren’t many downsides to this, so the decision is up to you.

Hace unos 9 días compartí una guía hablando de como deberían de iniciar los jugadores que no tienen capital o fuente de inversión activa, por lo que la única salida para este tipo de usuarios es comenzar en el juego de forma completamente GRATIS siguiendo los lineamientos de esa publicación, la verdad es muy sencillo y explico de forma clara que es lo que deben hacer, por lo que, si aún no has visto o leído este post, al final de esta introducción dejare el enlace.

Es por eso que ha llegado el turno de explicar o crear una “Guia” para el lado contrario al mencionado anteriormente, me refiero a esos jugadores que, si tienen capital y recursos para poder comenzar en el juego con algo de ventaja a diferencia de los jugadores gratuitos, los cuales se tardan mucho mas en poder ganar recompensas que los jugadores que si ponen un poco de carne y sangre sobre la mesa, por supuesto, hay muchas estrategias para eso, porque puedes comenzar totalmente gratis y de esa manera mitigas los riegos asociados que hay de invertir, no porque el juego sea malo, sino que en toda inversión sea cual sea siempre hay un riesgo intrínseco en ellas.

Es por eso que en este post te daré lo que es el “Camino del Inversor” en Splinterlands para que sepas por donde iniciar y que es lo que debes de tener para que sigas construyendo tu camino en este ecosistema:

El Camino del Inversor (Analisis de Activos para Invertir)

Para los que inician con inversión y capital el objetivo de este tipo de jugadores es muy claro, básicamente buscan obtener una rentabilidad mas rápida y progresiva, en pocas palabras tener algo constante que recibir por esa inversión, por supuesto, tampoco se trata de recibir algo totalmente pasivo, sino que algunos también buscan competir al mas alto nivel posible, pero, sea cual sea la meta que tengan los usuarios, la inversión estratégica es clave, ya que no se trata de colocar dinero por hacerlo, va un poco más allá.

Es por eso que a continuación realizare un “Analisis” de los activos en los que se puede invertir para obtener retornos en base a esa inversión, aunque por supuesto, los retornos (Ganancias) dependerán de varios factores, los cuales asociaran a cada uno de los activos en los que se debe invertir que por supuesto tienen que ver con los modos de juego que hay que jugar. Pero sin mas demora vamos a con el análisis:

SPS (Splintershards): Este es la principal inversión que todo jugador debe de contemplar si o si en su portafolio relacionado con el ecosistema de “Splinterlands”, ya que este no solo es el token de “Gobernanza”, sino también el de recompensas, ademas por tenerlos en Staking ganas un APR que justo ahora ronda los 8.51% en base a la cantidad que pongas, por lo que recibes mas SPS por bloquearlos, ademas, no solo ganas eso, sino que también vas recibiendo VOUCHERS. Por ultimo el SPS te ayuda en aumentar tu multiplicador de recompensas, por lo que puedes ganar SPS y GLINT mientras mas SPS tengas en Staking.

Cartas Individuales (META CARDS): Algo que es muy rentable y que puede traer excelentes retornos con mucha paciencia, es la inversión en cartas muy especificas que formen parte del META actual, esto porque la idea es comprar cartas que tengan mucha demanda y aprovechar un retroceso en su precio para invertir en ellas y luego venderlas mas caro en el mercado abierto. Plataformas como Splintiers, Peakmonsters y en ocasiones Splintercards, pueden ayudarte a conocer la tendencia de las cartas y saber cuándo comprar y vender.

Parcelas de Tierra (Lands): La inversión aquí es un poco mas avanzada, ya que necesitas aprender todos los detalles de las parcelas de tierra, como funciona realmente el terreno para poder tomar decisiones correctas. Sin embargo, cuando ya descubres todo esto, las tierras producen recursos que tienen valor en el mercado, también puedes ganar SPS, aunque no solo esto, ya que cuando la fase 3 este cativa, podrás crear objetos que se llamaran hechizos y lo que permitirá conectar la economía de las tierras con las batallas comunes.

Nodos Validadores: Esta es una de las mejores opciones si solo te quieres dedicar a asegurar la red de SPS y el proceso por mantener el nodo activo ganas SPS y VOUCHERS.

Determinación del “Presupuesto” según los Objetivos que tenga cada jugador

Como en toda inversión, cada jugador o usuario tiene sus objetivos específicos, y por supuesto una cantidad de capital que quizás, es demasiada y no le importaría invertir de forma controlada en activos seleccionados, pero en cambio, estoy seguro de que hay jugadores que tienen un capital limitado y por supuesto no pueden dedicarse a todo o diversificar en todo, que quizás seria lo mejor, pero, en esto casos es mejor saber que hacer con el presupuesto y es por eso que les quiero dar un poco de claridad en ese sentido.

Así que, una vez claro todo esto, vamos con la determinación de ese presupuesto:

Presupuestos y Objetivos:

Rentabilidad Inmediata: Para obtener una rentabilidad de forma rápida, la idea es invertir en esos activos que son mucho mas rápidos, por ejemplo, el objetivo en este sentido es alquilar cartas del META actual, las cuales tienen alta demanda y deja DEC de forma pasiva y constante. Por otro lado, también están las pool de liquidez (SPS/DEC) por ejemplo, sin embargo, este tipo de inversiones necesita experiencia en DeFi, por lo que, sino la tienes no la recomiendo.
Acumulación a largo plazo: Ahora bien, si el objetivo de los jugadores es crecer mas a largo plazo, lo mejor sería invertir en “Lands” las cuales producen diversos recursos incluido el SPS y por supuesto apostar por el token principal del ecosistema que es el SPS, aunque no tomen la palabra apostar como algo literal, sino que mas bien me refiero a invertir.
Competición de Elite: Aquí la inversión se centra en la jugabilidad, por lo que básicamente necesitas invertir en mazos de cartas muy poderosos y con alto potencial de demanda, no solo para cubrirte de riesgos, sino también para competir al mas alto nivel, aunque para esto necesitas una buena cantidad de SPS en Staking, por lo que la inversión no solo es en carta sino también en SPS.

Consideraciones Finales

Espero que este post les haya aclarado la diferencia entre los jugadores “Gratuitos” y los que, si tienen para invertir, por supuesto y como ya dije, elegir entre uno u otros es relativo, porque los que inician gratis están libre de riesgos mientras prueban el juego y estudian el ecosistema, pero los que si lo tienen comienzan con una pequeña inversión mientras también lo prueban. Si vez no hay muchas fallas con esto, así que la decisión la tienen ustedes.
