What are the strengths of the Splinters and their playstyles? (Earth and Life Splinters) [ES-EN]

About 10 days ago, I started a series of posts where I aim to explain how Splinters work and their play styles. I began with the “Fire and Water” elements, and if by any chance you missed it, you can click HERE, you can read it and understand how to actually use the Fire and Water Splinters, which have a unique playstyle since most of their cards have a more specific type of attack, and that’s why strategies tend to vary accordingly.
Yes, I know it sounds a little complicated, but the truth is that it’s very simple—there’s no need to overcomplicate things. However, it’s important to know this information because, by understanding the Splinters’ playstyles, you’ll be able to determine which cards to use for the specific conditions you’re facing and what kind of abilities you need to tip the odds of winning a battle in your favor. Ultimately, that’s the whole point—to increase your odds—because, as with any game, we can’t win every match; it’s impossible. but we can have some winning streaks that ultimately translate into great rewards.
Once again, as I mentioned earlier in that post, the idea is for you to adapt all these playstyles you learn in these posts to your own strategies. Finally, in this post, I’ll be explaining the strengths and playstyles of the Earth and Life Splinters:

Analysis of the Splinters' Strengths and Their Playstyles (Earth and Life Splinters)

Okay, as I said before, Splinters have certain strengths and playstyles that are much better suited to certain types of scenarios than others, and understanding this is essential for making good decisions while playing and choosing your cards for battle. This is because, in some situations, you might need lethal physical power, and in others, a magical attack that bypasses the enemy’s defenses—and in both cases, you should always choose the option that best fits the situation.
So, in these specific cases—and if you read the previous post—we need to:
Example 1: If the conditions call for lethal and powerful physical damage, the Fire Splinter is undoubtedly the specialist in this type of combination; it has the most powerful physical units, so for me, it’s a clear winner in this regard.
Example 2: Now, if the battle conditions favor “Defenses” and your opponent plays cards to reinforce them, the best strategy is to use a “Magic” attack, which bypasses those defenses and can target each card’s life points directly. So there’s no doubt that “Water Splinter” is the best choice here, although “Death” is also very powerful in this regard—but it depends heavily on the specific combination of rules you’re dealing with.
Now that we've clarified that, let's move on to the explanation of the third Splinter we're going to analyze:

Earth Splinter

One incredible feature of the “Earth Splinter” deck is its resilience—these units literally love to survive, but not by relying on support. Instead, their specialty lies in having many powerful cards on the front lines (Tanks), while regenerative “Support” cards back them up, which eventually wears down your opponent and allows you to close out each round with your cards.
Strengths: The strengths of this element are clear: its cards, such as the ones mentioned, have very high health—among the highest of all the Splinters—and it also features Support cards that specialize in life regeneration and are resistant to “Magic” attacks.
Gameplay: The way this Splinter is played is simple, and you should already have an idea of how it works. The goal is to create extremely strong and resilient combinations designed to wear down your opponent, allowing your offense to gradually and steadily eliminate your opponent’s cards.
Key Abilities: Basically, they're resilient; they have a lot of Shield and Divine Shield, as well as Heal, Tank Heal, and Triage, in addition to Void and Void Armor.

Splinter of Life

The Life Splinter also functions similarly to “Earth,” but it focuses more on “Armor.” In short, it uses “Shields” as a defensive stronghold and, in turn, an “offensive” one if we leverage certain conditions and abilities to our advantage. The idea behind this Splinter is to protect the entire team, so when it comes to “Defense,” this element is the epitome of excellence in this type of gameplay.

Strengths: It’s very easy to identify his strengths, since I’ve already mentioned most of them, but his main strength is “Defense” based on “Shields” and repairing them, in addition to “Support” abilities that protect the entire team. In that sense, at least in this regard, he resembles “Earth Splinter,” albeit from a different perspective.
Playstyle: Although it bears some resemblance to the “Earth” element, the approach—as I mentioned—is different, since the idea behind playing with the Life Splinter is to minimize damage as much as possible so that the rest of your team—or the entire team—can stay on the field for as many rounds as possible, while prioritizing their shields, defense, and repair.
Key Abilities: As I mentioned, this build focuses on “Defense,” the shield, and that kind of gameplay, so: Shield, Divine Shield, Repair, Triage, Heal, Resurrect, and Rebirth—because, yes, protection is for the whole team, and that includes reviving allies as many times as possible.

Final Thoughts

The truth is, I really enjoy these kinds of posts because they clear up a lot of questions that most players probably have. So far, we’ve covered four Splinters, learning about their strengths, playstyles, and some key abilities. But we’re not quite done with this series yet, because there are still some very interesting Splinters left—and in fact, they’re among the best—without taking anything away from the ones I’ve already covered, of course.
If you have any questions about strengths and playstyles, leave a comment and let's share our experiences so we can keep learning.
See you on the "Battlefield"
