I think they should also burn the $SPS token, that is by creating two alternative burn ranking tables, $DEC and $SPS whose players could choose only one to burn their assets, those who win on $DEC don't win on $SPS.

They have a mechanism in place to get DEC using SPS and they burn some SPS that way but yes you are right SPS burn is also needed.
