My Best Battle So far - Big Brain vs Legendary Summoner

Once again, I must emphasize new players in Splinterlands, this game is about 90% brain (strategy) and 10% cards. Don't too obsess with having good cards or legendary cards. Train your brain, master the game first before diving into the deep end. If you paid attention, my deck consists of all free cards from Spellbooks and won against someone with a legendary card. Again reaffirming the strategy part of the game.

Let me break down what my opponent did wrong in this battle. Point by point.

  1. Even though the match rule silent summoner's ability, he/she still pick legendary summoner that cost 5 mana. Although this doesn't count as a mistake because of the high mana rule, but I just wanted to point out to be mindful of the rule of the match
  2. He/she doesn't fully utilize the mana of the match. You see that I purposely selected all high mana and high hit points cards to soak up damage but my opponent has a low hp card in the middle. That's the breakpoint of his/her deck
  3. He/she does not fully utilize and understand card's abilities. I set my Shieldbearer in the middle to soak damage from the backline attack. This way my 1st position card only receives damage from the first position card.

You could rewatch the match from the link below. Again, remember this game is all about strategy. Big brain wins all.
